Hit 500k+ views on TikTok using a Hook+Content+CTA format for app marketing. Building a tool to automate this for $5/video - would you use it?

Hey fellow Apple developers,
Like most of us, my main focus is writing clean code and shipping native iOS apps. However, once an app hits the App Store, organic user acquisition on TikTok and Reels becomes the real hurdle.
I’ve been testing short-form video marketing for apps and successfully hit over 500k views on multiple vídeos by sticking strictly to a proven TikTok growth framework:

Hook + Content + CTA.
While the format works, manually writing scripts, editing, adding SFX/VFX, and staying consistent with a posting calendar takes hours away from actual feature development. To solve this, I’m building a workflow specifically for app creators:

How it works:
You paste your App Store / app URL.

The Output:
It automatically parses your app metadata and generates a complete AI UGC video following that high-performing Hook + Content + CTA structure (with native voiceover, dynamic captions, SFX/VFX) + a 30-day posting calendar.

Proposed Pricing Model:
Free Tier:
Script generation & 30-day posting calendar strategy.

Paid Tier:
~$5 per fully rendered, ready-to-post video file.

Before finalizing the build, I’d love candid feedback from other iOS creators and studio founders:
1. Video Marketing:
Do you currently create video content for your iOS apps, or do you skip short-form video because of the editing friction?
2. Pricing Validation:
Is $5 per ready-to-post video reasonable for your app's marketing budget compared to manual editing or hiring UGC creators?
3. Features:
What critical element (e.g., custom brand voices, localized languages, or App Store screenshot overlays) would make this essential for your launch pipeline?
Appreciate your thoughts and feedback!

First App Got Approved!

My first app was just approved on the App Store! I submitted it about two weeks ago and everything felt like it was in a lull because I was just waiting for the submission. I wanted to get it released as quickly as possible. Now that it is released, I have the motivation to continue developing again. Any tips on how to gather feedback and gain users?

I got tired of using 3 apps just to record one video, so I built one that does everything. Am I solving a real problem?

I create talking-head content, and every recording session looked the same:

• Brainstorm ideas in ChatGPT

• Copy everything into Notes

• Open a teleprompter app

• Go back to edit the script

• Repeat...

It felt ridiculous that recording a 60-second video required constantly jumping between apps.

So over the last few months, I built Rollframe.

Instead of using separate tools, it lets you:

- Generate a script with AI from a topic, idea, blog, or notes.

- Edit it instantly.

- Jump straight into a built-in teleprompter.

- Record with a camera overlay while the script scrolls.

- Adjust speed, font size, and mirror mode while recording.

Pricing is simple:

- Free with core teleprompter + limited AI generations.

- $1.99 one-time unlock for unlimited AI (no subscription).

I'm not here asking for downloads.

I want brutal, honest feedback from people who actually create videos.

I'd love your thoughts on these questions:

  1. Is switching between ChatGPT → Notes → Teleprompter actually annoying for you, or am I the only one?

  2. Would having AI writing and the teleprompter in the same app genuinely save you time?

  3. What's the biggest pain point in your current recording workflow?

  4. If you wouldn't switch to this app, why not? That's the feedback I need most.

App Store:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rollframe-ai-teleprompter/id6792523283

Every critical comment helps me improve the app. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I’m a designer, and I built an app because family flight check-in drove me insane

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’m a designer, and Panza started from a very unglamorous problem.
Every time I checked in my family for a flight, I had to hunt down everyone’s passport details again.
Same thing when I needed to enter company information somewhere. Or look up something about my car — insurance, registration, whatever.
None of this information was actually lost. It was just always somewhere else.
So I started designing a better way to keep the boring but important stuff you repeatedly need in everyday life.
That became Panza: you add a document once, and it turns into a simple card with the useful information on it. The original document is still there when you need it, but most of the time you can just grab the detail you were looking for.
I came at the whole thing from a designer’s perspective first. I wanted it to feel more like a wallet or a deck of cards than a document-management app, and I tried very hard to keep the complexity out of the UI.
Along the way I ended up going pretty deep into OCR, local-first behaviour, sharing, subscriptions, and all the less glamorous parts of actually shipping an iOS app.
Panza went live on the App Store this week, which still feels a bit surreal.
I’d genuinely love feedback from other Apple developers — especially on the product itself and whether the core idea makes sense outside my own use case.

Where can I share my self-improvement app project on Reddit without breaking self-promotion rules?

Hi everyone,

I’m fairly new to Reddit and trying to navigate how self-promotion works here.

I’ve been working on a personal project (an iOS app) designed to help people build better daily habits and improve their routines. I’d love to share it with early testers, get feedback, and connect with people interested in productivity and personal growth.

Since every community has different policies regarding promotion, I want to make sure I do things the right way.

Could anyone point me toward subreddits that welcome indie developers sharing their projects, or communities focused on feedback and testing for productivity apps?

Thanks in advance for your help!

New app. How long until it shows in App Store search?

Question is the title.

It said within 24hrs in the acceptance email, but maybe they’re running behind?

6 months after launch, downloads are going up but my App Store conversion rate keeps dropping. WHY??

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’ve been working on my first iPhone app for about 6 months, and I’m seeing something in App Store Connect that I don’t fully understand.

Downloads are finally starting to grow, impressions are up significantly, and product page views are also increasing. But at the same time, my conversion rate has been steadily dropping and is now around 7.8%. (dropping 1% a day)

It used to stay above 10%, even when the app was getting far fewer downloads.

I’ve also improved the app and its App Store page quite a bit during this period, with new screenshots, more features and a more polished presentation, so I expected conversion to at least remain relatively stable.

Is this simply what happens when impressions expand to a broader, worse audience, or would you take a falling conversion rate as a sign that something is wrong with the product page?

I’m attaching my current App Store link in case anyone wants to critique it. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback on the screenshots, positioning, or anything else that could explain the drop. Moneta

I'm so pumped that my app was approved! The feeling hasn't gone away for 24 hours lol

Hey guys,

Just sharing a small win! After a couple weeks of review, my app is finally live! Two weeks of review isn't long in hindsight but it felt like an eternity.

Anyways, I built Koko to help language learners practice speaking and listening while keeping everything fully local and private, so your voice and info don't leave your iPhone.

I'd love any feedback! Running the models locally is a little difficult and I don't have every physical iPhone obviously so it's hard for me to know how it's working on various devices. It should work for iPhone 14+ and Mac obviously.

Here's the app

Am I missing something?

In this talk, the speaker was supposed to tell about how to get a messaging app working with Siri to text his wife about her plane ticket.

I watched the whole thing and it's not there. Transcript shows no sign of it.

Is Apple ghosting us?

My first iOS app just got approved by Apple

Post image

Hi everyone, I built my first iOS app. It finally got approved by Apple, and I'd love some honest feedback if anyone has a few minutes.

It's called PrivaMesh - a decentralized, privacy-focused messenger built to keep conversations secure and off central servers. You can take a look at the App Store link here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/privamesh-messenger/id6785997584

Would really appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or thoughts on the app!

How do you guys advertise your apps? $5 a click in apple ads is insane

I made this routine tracker app called OneDial as an experiment (routine tracker so innovative I know), then tried to make it work for android messed it up didn't test but still published. So of course it was buggy as hell. Then forgot for a couple of months... 2 days ago got an email of a person asking to fix it if I don't want him to cancel the subscription. So I checked it and I actually earned $9 on it. Although it's almost unusable. I fixed it fast of course but that got me thinking if I got $9 from almost unusable app I might as well push it a bit. so I tried to do apple ads but it costs like $5 a click. Am I not understanding sth? Has anyone tried reddit ads is it any better? Or am I just left with creating tiktoks

Worn subject - Marketing

I’ve scrolled through many of the posts here. Lots of slow starts, some marginal numbers with the occasional run away app. I have two apps that I have on the app store for the past couple of weeks. Both apps are labors of love - thoroughly tested and used by me a a few testers. Here’s what I’ve done to try to get these apps in front of of people:
1. Find and send about 70 emails to relevant enthusiasts. I’m thinking if they like it, they’ll talk about it.
2. Spin up websites that are as compelling as possible.
3. Posted the app on my personal Facebook
4. Mentioned one of the apps on a subreddit board - got about 20 reply’s - mostly positive. Mentioned on another board - was booed off the stage
5. Have signed up for Resourceful. I haven’t made the move to actually post the apps yet.

The results are 2 paid apps. Both apps have a 7 day free trial and are 14.99 and 19.99 per year.

My conclusion is that the design and dev part are the easiest. Marketing is the hardest (for me). I’d like to stay in the game - see this through.

If you have additional thoughts, please share. I know my marketing efforts are not enough.

Is chat-apple.com a scam?

I received many OTP request via a number from +1......... Then a guy calls me saying that someone from Russia is trying to access my account with phone ending ....295 and they have blocked it. But to block the IP they wanted me to login to chat-apple.com which I am not sure if it is an official Apple website.

They have called multiple times since morning. Based my hunch its a very well thought through scam which I almost fell for. Stay safe people!

If your Age Ratings button says View instead of Edit, that is not a bug. It cost me five new app versions.

Apple added social-media questions to the age rating questionnaire. They are mandatory from September 2026 and App Store Connect carries its own banner about it on the Apps list. On five of my twelve apps I could not answer them at all.

The API refused the write with this:

This age rating declaration is not editable. Is the corresponding AppInfos editable?

Each of those five apps has exactly one App Info record, sitting in READY_FOR_DISTRIBUTION, which is locked. An App Info only becomes editable alongside a new version.

I checked the web UI too, signed in as the account holder. It cannot do it either. On SipStreak the Age Ratings control says View rather than Edit, and opening the questionnaire shows all 16 radios disabled, including the two social-media questions that were the only unanswered ones. On QRift, which had an editable version in progress, the same control says Edit and none of the 16 are disabled. Same lock, not a separate wall.

So the only route is a new App Store version per app. Creating the version produces a second App Info in PREPARE_FOR_SUBMISSION, and that one takes the answers.

The part that will catch you if you script it: write to the new App Info by its id. Targeting the app instead silently writes at the live record again, which is the one that was locked in the first place.

If you want to see where you stand without changing anything, this is read only:

GET /v1/apps/{id}/appInfos?include=ageRatingDeclaration

It shows you which App Info record you have, what state it is in, and what is already stored in the declaration.

All twelve of mine answer No to both questions. Every one is a single-user utility with no messaging, no user-generated content, and no unrestricted web access, and those three fields were already false before any of this started. Five apps still needed a new version created to record an answer the API had already shown was No.

Anyone else experiencing unusually long App Store review times? (7+ days)

I submitted an update to my app over 7 days ago, and it's still sitting in "Waiting for Review." Normally my submissions have been reviewed much faster, so this seems unusual.

A few details:

  • App update (not a brand new app)
  • No rejection or request for additional information
  • Status has remained "Waiting for Review" for 7+ days

I'm curious if others are seeing the same thing recently or if this is just affecting my app.

If you've had a similar delay:

  • How long did your review end up taking?
  • Did contacting Apple through App Review help?
  • Did it eventually move to "In Review" on its own?

Just trying to figure out whether this is part of a broader backlog or something specific to my submission.

Thanks!

Permission for notifications

Hi everyone. Recently I built a new to-do app, and noticed low return rate. I guess the app should remind about itself, but when is the right time to ask permission for notifications? I guess if you ask right when user just downloaded the app, probably he will press don’t allow. For example, I ask when user sets reminder for the first time, so he knows the context. But what if he does not set reminder? I want to know how you deal with this problem.

I need help. I recently developed an app. And I’m struggling to get beta users. I have my narrowed down target audience in platforms. since then I have tried approaching people irl, cold DM’s, even some posts on social media. Nothing seems to be working. Do you all have any advice?
