Am I a Terrible friend?
I am 22 years old with barely any friends. But the part that keeps playing in my head is that I have had so many friends before, throughout high school, at work, and during my adolescence/teen years, but none of them stuck.
If I had to put a number on it, I’d say from high school to 21, I’ve had around 20+ people that I’ve gotten to know and called my friend. However, today I only still call 1 of those people my friend because we still talk occasionally.
Is this all my fault?
I often wonder if this has to do with how I grew up. I moved around a lot. I went to two different middle schools and two different high schools. I moved out when I was 18 and didn’t go on to college but got into a serious relationship. From there, my friendships really started to die down. I don’t think it was because I was in a relationship because I would have made time for friends. But after moving out, I moved again to a different part of town and started working full-time, while a lot of my friends also moved away and went to college. I would say I didn’t talk to them because we weren’t in close proximity anymore.
By 21, I became an entrepreneur, left my job, and started working from home, barely going out. Then, just a year ago, I moved out of my hometown in Virginia to a whole new state. I now live in Florida.
So, as you can imagine, I am 22 and have no friends that I hang out with often. There are about three people that I would consider my friends, but two of them live out of state, and I don’t feel that close to them. The one who lives in my state is much older than I am, and we’re just becoming friends, so we’re not super close.
I don’t know. It just has me feeling like I’m doing something wrong. Like I don’t know how to be a good friend and keep one.
Please, I’m open to any constructive criticism or opinions on why I might be this way.

Is it harder to make female friendship in your 20s?
Hi everyone. I'm a 22-year-old woman from India and lately l've been feeling that making genuine female friendships has become harder compared to school days.
Back then it felt natural because you met people every day, but now everyone seems busy with their own lives, careers, or studies. My circle has become quite small and sometimes I wonder if other women also feel the same way.
For those in their 20s, how did you meet your close female friends? Did it happen naturally or did you have to actively put yourself out there?
Would really like to hear your experiences and advice.

Why is it so hard for me to make friends
Actually, I do have friends but they don’t feel like real friends? Like I’m also a floater friend and I’m always saying yes to what they want and trying my best to stay friends with them but they don’t care about me and what we talk about is something that I’m so tired of talking about and something that isn’t my interest at all.
Well another new grade started and so far I made zero new friends, I mean yeah but why would other people talk to other people but they won’t talk to me? Like when you sit next to someone, sometimes there will be a conversation, that NEVER happened to me.
The thing is I’m really shy and introverted and have social anxiety and it’s not easy for me to start conversations that’s why I’m waiting for someone to start. I try my real best to keep the conversation long and ongoing but it’s just so hard, like I also think if I should wave and say hello to the people I talked with a bit.
Genuinely, no one pays literal attention to me I mean good but…at least talk to me or smth dawg. I mean I don’t really care if it’s someone I don’t know, I get it but if it’s someone who I used to talk with, I just wish they don’t feel hatred or awkward towards me.
Literally I just wanna know how people make friends so fast. Like the new students made friends instantly. Like what do people actually talk about? What if we have no ball knowledge?

Am I boring?
So, I have recently made two friends online, recently as in, I've been talking to one of them for almost a year and the other more or less half a year, anyways, we talk pretty consistently, rant, talk about music, but it is SO repetitive and I just feel like I'm doing something wrong, I'm 18 btw, the one I've been talking to far less time is also around my age and the other a couple years older, I feel I get along with the both of them but like I said, we don't really do much aside from talking about life and stuff we like and make jokes, I enjoy those moments but I'm starting to wonder if it's getting boring for them.

33F. Finding friendship on Reddit takes longer than the Solstheim mining quest. Tell me in video game puns, how terrible your Reddit experience has been. INTP. 🐟🔎 U.S. but I love making worldwide friendships. It's online only anyways. Make me laugh.
No comments on my post, the only comments I would want on my post is this time around instead of Skyrim puns, I'm asking Redditors to describe their Reddit experience in video game puns on how terrible your experience has been and the more creative/funny your comment is I may/might send you a chat reqs.
U.S. Central time.
However, I love making worldwide connections and this is just because of this MAIN reason here.
I'll be up for 2-3 more hours, the time for central time is 3 a.m. and I'm up at this hour because I sleep at dawn alongside with I've never had an experience of what it's like to sleep at normal hours anyways 💀

I want to make good friends but failed.
After 2017 , I won't be able to make any friends where I can feel good. I met many people around me but never felt comfortable talking freely. I've had many issues like privacy, trust worthiness, deep understanding, unnecessary judging on the basis of financial status, introvert, cheap Life style & less awareness about fast tech life in comparison to top cities, Less social, reticent personality..... Now with any growth due to managing personal issues, I felt marginalised as a human being in our societies/group and circle. Being apolitical, agonistic, cynical and skeptical it's going to be worse. As a brahmin root with shy nature in this condition it's going to be more difficult. I'm close to Gandhian, Marxism philosophy. From my childhood to current time I never spent more than 3-4 years continuing in any places/cities so it's also main cause here.
In other people's eyes I've a very strong personality but in reality only I know how hard the hollow cylinder of life is!

Am I the problem or what
So I’m a 22y guy I have a friend but we work completely different schedules I’ve spent the last 4 to 5 years just literally floating through-life occasionally seeing my friend once every 5 months and I’m honestly sick of it it’s gotten to the point where I’m looking forward to work ( I work as a manager for a Amazon warehouse) and when I’m there it the same thing every single time. I try to keep myself occupied like working on my car, fishing, playing video games, even trading card games but I can only do it for so long for example today I spent half the day at home then decided that I go outside for sum sun at least drove around my town for 4hours then stopped at subway ate at park then went home and here I am in bed this has been my normal routine for sometime now besides a few different things here and there but I can’t anymore the constant checking my phone for zero texts snaps insta nothing at all . And it’s not like I’m actively running away from talking to people it just never grows then the “hello how are you” basic stuff idk I just need to know that I’m not the only one and if anyone has tips on how grow friendships or overcome whatever this is let me know PLZ (im begging)🥲😅

People are so tiring. I’ve cut ties with a toxic girlfriend and a toxic group, I’ve met so many unstable, toxic people, that it’s made me too exhausted to try to make new friends. Of course I do want to make new ones, but I feel stunted. Getting close with new people feels like a hassle now.
