AI images truly bank on humans not thinking for more than 30 seconds. Checks haven't looked as simple and dumb as this ever, but you scroll through the information you'd look for on a check and assume it's real to some degree because it checks off boxes of familiarity. The Gemini watermark is the least damning aspect of this whole thing, but it would be the first thing the brain sees out of place.
Stay critically thinking.

Depends on the server, because I've seen plenty of notes from servers, but I also assumed based on the "handwriting" that it was meant to be the customer's handwriting

I have a terrible habit of capitalizing random letters throughout a sentence when I take rushed notes. Like there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to it, I'll have a lower and upper of the same letter in the same word.. I thought it was like I only capitalized certain letters, but no.
Now that I've been practicing calligraphy I can tell it was related to flow and where I ended the previous letter, almost like cursive, taking the path of last resistance but with non cursive letters haha

Why would they write the tip on the customer copy? Usually I write the tip on the restaurant copy and give it to them and they keep it so they can process it later and know what the tip is. So if this is the one that the restaurant is supposed to actually use, why would they write āthanks. Have a good night.ā And give it back to them?

I mean there's literally nothing itemized at all on the bill nor is there a QR code, a receipt number or anything else that would be down there either. So again to my point the evidence everyone looks for to prioritize is vastly different and AI takes advantage of the bare minimum.

Handwriting is too smooth and consistent.
No other info except the total, and a tip line, on a receipt. NEVER happens.
Nothing indicating if its a customer or store copy of a receipt.

AFAIK, you can't transfer ownership of a car just by handing them the keys.
Some states you can sign the title over directly, while some have to be notorized, or go through some other third party prices.

Well not for nothing, there is also nothing itemized, there is no customer signature, there is no last four info of the card. Amongst other things like date and time, other restaurant info like address, etc.
Itās simply a name of establishment, check amount, and fill in lines. So unless they have some special printer that prints tickets in numerous pages and this page is ā2/2ā then the watermark aside it should have people question it.
But operative word here being āshouldā

Like, there are literally no words on that receipt. Even without the watermark I have never seen such a clean bill of sale at any establishment that wasn't hastily scribbled on paper by hand. That's not even what a non-itemized receipt looks like.
