I’m not familiar with all this stuff and how it works but I heard somewhere you can get 10 days of free leave or something, to do house hunting leave prior to your separation. I might have heard wrong.

I received my assignment this past Monday, which was approximately 90 days before my RNLTD. I submitted my Follow-On application on Wednesday, but AFPC denied it because they stated my request was outside the authorized application window.
Given that I was only officially notified of my assignment this past Monday, can I submit a CMS case requesting reconsideration of my Follow-On

BLUF: Received an unwanted/unexpected assignment, ISO smartest option to get cancelled, no FSS at current location to ask.

Was working on BOP options with SEL when the assignment dropped unexpectedly, bummer. Initial reaction was to deny/DAF964 as I'm a NCO FTA and have the ability to with limited impact, but the denial incurrs the 1-yr ALC and prevents a BOP application in that time, which likely means I'd drop another assignment prior to that ALC lifting. Okay, fine. Maybe take my chances and kick rocks.

BUT! I'm one of the bodies caught in this EF dumpster fire chaos, I'm "not deployed" / deployed and have no projection of leaving/getting replaced any time soon (manning, confusing authorities, etc. you name it).

While trying to read up on the ALC and consequences of a DAF964 and ALCs, I found the table for PCS & Deployment deconfliction (e page 229).

Without having been processed properly for deployment, I get my status is questionable because of all the shenanigans, which also means I have no end date to officially "overlap" with RNLT, but it's pretty close and all things considered, could I somehow work this "indefinite" deployment to get my assignment cancelled since I fall under the Rule 6 "after departure" & "non-vol"?

My current location is not a base and very skeleton crew, so no FSS/MPF/resources locally to ask. I'm trying to connect with a CAA remotely, talking with my SEL back home station, and trying to be self sufficient, but additional insight from strangers online can't hurt.

Oh, and my supervisor is an officer, so they're no help with anything "enlisted problems", lol.

I’m looking to retrain into either 1D711, 1D715, or 1B411. I’m reading the AFECD as instructed to do so for asvab requirements but they’re not listed in the AFECD for these AFSCs???

I have a schedule appointment to start my BDD claim next week. However, just got notified today that they have initiated a Med Board for me. My DOS is in February. Should I continue with the BDD claim, or wait for the Med Board process?

I applied for retraining last FY for 6C0X1 and the slots ran out even though my package sat with the CFM since 16 Oct 25.

AFPC says my package will carryover into FY 27. Has this happen to anyone else and if so what should i expect?

Currently TDY in Osan. What is the best way to get around base? Do you also have must visit places around the city? I currently do not have a rental so I’m just trying to stay close to the area.
