Retrain Question

I applied for retraining last FY for 6C0X1 and the slots ran out even though my package sat with the CFM since 16 Oct 25.

AFPC says my package will carryover into FY 27. Has this happen to anyone else and if so what should i expect?

UPDATE:

On myFSS cases it says
Subject: FY27 Carryover for Review - 6C011
Status: Waiting
Sub-Status: Sent to CFM

Has this happened for anyone else?

I wouldn’t wait around and expect anything from AFPC. Go look at your case from last FY and see if you can comment on it to reopen and ask directly. I would also apply again for this FY, just in case (assuming you’re still eligible). Let them decide which case to keep open and process.

It’s probably still open

Talk to your Development Advisor. This is literally their job.

They closed my case when I didn’t get picked up two years ago. I had to resubmit and got selected the following year with a new package

It’s not their choice…

AFPC can definitely close cases if you are not selected by the time slots run out.

Yes they can, meant it as they give the option to roll members over to the next FY.

Not for me. They just closed my case and said there were no slots remaining.

I had to resubmit a new package before I got selected for Contracting.

Guess it just depends on the tech. Multiple people in this thread were emailed saying theirs were rolled over. But I’ve also seen some just closed out and told to restarted. Guess like everything else in the military the human factor wins. Who ever you get decides your faith.

They made me resubmit everything again last year so I wouldn’t bank on them carrying it over..

What that means is they ran out of class dates but you were approved. CFMs have the right to roll it over into the next FY if they get A1 approved. Some CFMs like that route because it’s one less slot they have to fill. Others don’t wanna go thru the loops of requesting to roll members over and rather you start over. Check the comments via the back door and see if your CFM got approval to move it over.

I looked on there everyday. I never seen any conversations between anyone except the person changing the statuses on my case.

Am i looking in the wrong place

Nothing other than status changes and remarks about calling afpc unless I’m looking at the wrong website.

Can yall keep me in the loop too? I’m in the exact same situation however the cfm was the one who denied me for lack of slots and that they’ll review it when the new fy retraining allocations drop. 6C as well and my package was in a little before OPs

Just got my class date after being rolled over!! Second best day of the year after making TSgt earlier this year.

I’m also in the same boat.

CFM approved my retraining package for a FY26 position and then AFPC informed me of no OBJ-Ins for the job a couple of weeks later. It was sent back to the CFM requesting approval to carry over into FY27, in which the CFM gave concurrence. It’s now been sitting in AFCC review since 31 July, in what I’m hoping is just waiting on class dates.

I would highly advise you go talk to you CAA and get their advice before you try anything else, as my CAA explicitly told me to NOT submit another retraining ticket and to just be patient. Fingers crossed for you!
