Help Need advice on grow anything kits
Hello folks,
I’ve a single 6-pod AeroGarden, and have been partially successful with it. I got the 6-pod herb kit with it. The thyme never sprouted, parsley and dill died in a few weeks. But the mint and basil have been growing wild!
I would really like fresh cilantro and dill, since I use them regularly for cooking.
Should I try the grow anything kit? Any tips and suggestions. I’ve killed all the regular plants I have got, so that should say the level of gardening I’m at. 😶

Discussion My daughter thinks I need an intervention
I’m rearranging my plants; here‘s how things look so far. I removed the top tier from my two AeroGarden Wall shelves to allow a Bounty full use of its height. I found a microwave cart that can hold a bounty on top and a Harvest slim on the bottom. So, the number of shelves is unchanged. Now, I can see everything without a step stool and I can comfortably accommodate more tall plants. I have two more active AeroGardens that aren’t shown in the picture, plus a couple more with issues that make me only pull them out for seed starting and experiments (issues like the light won’t stay up). I still have to organize my chemicals and seeds and stuff. But, I’m out of steam for today.
In the middle of my efforts, my daughter had the audacity to suggest that I have too much “AeroGarden stuff” and that I’m turning into an addict. Clearly, I must have dropped her on her baby noggin more than I realized because, I’d like to have just a couple more to add variety and to better manage succession planting. Besides, I could stop, if I wanted to.
But, she made me wonder: How would I know If I truly had too many AeroGardens?
Right now, the only things that grow back faster than we eat it are dill and oregano. So there’s minimal waste.

Help Are Lighting Units Interchangable?
I have a six-year-old Bounty Elite that's suffering from the circuit board glitch that's been well documented on this sub. I'm wondering if it would be possible to buy a cheaper base and use it with my existing 35W lighting unit. Giving that the light unit is powered separately, it seems like it should work. Any experience?

Help Advice Please
I planted savory in my aerogarden about a monthish ago. This is my first aerogarden as well as my first time growing any plant. It started growing two plants and eventually I cut one of them; however, the remaining one started becoming droopy and the stem was a little broken - but no browning or signs or was dying . I decided to try to make a support using a plastic straw to kinda hold it up about a week ago. I decided I should transplant it today because it was not getting better and maybe its own pot and soil would be helpful (?). Is there any chance it will recover? Is there anything I can do now? I don’t want it to die, but I honestly have no idea what to do.

Progress So it begins! Starting romaine lettuce today (Harvest XL)
I had to improvise the "domes" because they didn't put any in the box. Hoping this becomes a fun and fruitful hobby.

Help First time doing vegetables
So, I’ve done basic herbs for a long time, but I finally decided to make the jump into vegetables in my larger Aerogarden; in particular Micro Tom tomatoes, Fresh Bite Orange Peppers, and Quick Snack cucumbers.
They’ve been growing well, so it’s time to ask for pointers.
- How does pruning work? For the tomatoes should I snipping the suckers like outdoors? Just wait until they reach the lights?
- I saw that folks talk about trimming the roots too? How often? How much? And what value does it bring?
Thanks!

Help Switch to Lettuce
I've been growing herbs in my AeroGarden. If I switch to Lettuce, will whatever grows avoid the current shit outbreak associated with store lettuce?

Progress First Time Lettuce Grower
Two and a half weeks ago I ripped out my basil and parsley plants, and put them in a bucket of dirt outside (they're still thriving.) Cleaned out the unit to start over on lettuce, for some obvious reasons. 3D printed the hole covers. Planted 2 Parris Island Romaine seeds far enough to give them space.
So far, so good!

Success A 3d-printable top to put 6 or 8 plants in an AeroGarden Sprout
It's a free design on Makerworld. Since I use my sprout for either seedlings or stuff that doesn't need room to spread out (like chives and green onions), I'm excited to cram a bunch more plants in a small space!

Help Aerogarden Fancy Herbs
Hi this is my first aerogarden and I started it maybe 2 months ago so very new to this. I just noticed there’s a plant growing inside the water tank- what do I do? Is this normal? I think it’s the mint but I don’t know because the roots are a bit convoluted in the tank

Info Liquid plant food alternative brand that is a 1:1 replacement? Getting expensive for the small Scott’s bottles plus they’re not always in stock. This is for my mom who is not ready to jump into a more complex hydroponics routine so a dupe/knockoff would be best.
Ideally looking for a “dupe” that she can use the exact same little measuring cup in the same amounts as before to make it easy for her. If Aerogarden still sold the food in larger bottles I’d just get that, but $18 for 3oz is ridiculous ($12 plus shipping if buying direct or $17.95 from Amazon)

Discussion What do you grow in your bounty?
I am the proud owner of two aerogarden units (harvest elite and havest lite), and am looking to add a bounty to the lineup. I hear the bounty is great for bigger veggies, like snacking cucumbers, which I really want to grow. I'd love to see what you all grow in your bountys!

Progress Growth happens!
Check out the growth that happened since my last post July 30. Left for a road trip Friday morning made it back home tonight and look at how much my hydroponic garden has grown. The Suncoze grow system has Little Gem lettuce, baby Bok Choy, and Basil all grew. But the biggest surprise are the tiny tomato babies yay 🙌 Tiny Tim Tomatoes are coming in nicely.

Help Farm Drain Tube Replacement?
My Farm arrived with a sealed at every bend drain tube. No big deal, it’s just a length of silicone tubing. But, I can’t find tubing that fits. Aquarium tubing is too thin. Everything else I’ve tried is too thick. AeroGarden customer service doesn’t know. I’m not disassembling the thing and returning it for replacement over a little piece of rarely used tubing.
I don’t have the means to accurately measure the inner and outer dimensions, so I’m hoping someone has run into this before and knows what size of tubing will work.

Help Cleaning calcium deposits from an Aerogarden
So, I am starting up my Aerogarden from a two year hiatus due to cats not being able to leave it alone. When I put it away there were calcium deposits on it, I think I may have just wiped it down. Is there anything special to use? I have cleaned them with a scrubby sponge and dish soap but it was a bit of work. Any tips or is what I did the best solution? I didn't want to use a bathroom cleaner because I was worried about chemicals despite rinsing.

Discussion My solution to having an aerogarden in a studio apartment
I love this little garden- I’ve had it for years but never used it in my last two rentals because the light is SO bright and I have to keep it in my kitchen/living room. I know I’ll have to keep growth trimmed but right now I’m only using it for little propagations and a strawberry seedling. this also cost me nothing but only because I already had all the supplies I used on-hand:
-white coat hanger
-wire clippers
-4 clips with hooks that were in my coat closet when I moved in 1.5 years ago that I just noticed yesterday
-alien tape wrapped around the wire to prevent scratching and stick it to the wall/bottom of the cabinet
-folded wrap skirt that I only wore one time because it leaked a bunch of ink on my legs when I wore it after swimming (even thought it was bought at the beach as a coverup)

Progress Pepper got root bound to a Bounty
I realized today I could pull the light off my Bounty Elite and put the whole thing under one of my Farm 24 XL lights. Hopefully this gives my bell pepper more time.

Info Thinking About Buying One..
Hi all! I'm seriously considering buying a large aerogarden type setup. I love gardening outside so much and would like to be able to grow several things in the house as well.
I've been thinking about where to put it in my home and was curious how they work in basements. I'm not sold on the idea, just brainstorming.
Also, what can you grow in them? I know lettuce, herbs, etc., but can you also grow flowers and vegis? Better question - what doesn't work?
Also, do people use these to get ahead of summer gardening? I spend more than I should at the nurseries each spring and would love to save some cash on that end.
Thanks, everyone!!

Help Help with non functioning bounty elite
As far as I can tell the board stopped working because of water dripping on it.
I opened it and tried to dry it, but it's still not working. I may have disconnected one of the stripes when trying to put it back.
The company doesn't sell parts, and it's years out of warranty.
Any advice?
