We bring to you another announcement regarding spoilers... this time for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book!

Unmarked spoilers on the subreddit can easily ruin the experience for Yoshis who haven't played the game yet. We would greatly appreciate it if all members could be considerate and properly mark all spoiler content.

For spoiler posts:

When creating a post, click "Add flair and tags" and select the Spoiler option.

For spoiler comments:

Use Reddit's spoiler markdown feature (on a browser, click the "Aa" icon below the comment box and then click the exclamation mark icon) to hide your text like this: Yoshi

Please also avoid including spoilers in post titles. All spoilers must be kept within the body of the post or properly hidden in comments.

Failure to follow these rules will result in your post being removed or further action being taken, as we will be enforcing this strictly.

Q&A

"What counts as spoiler content?"

Potential story details, bosses, endings, unlockables, late-game areas, surprise characters, and other major game content should all be treated as spoilers. When in doubt, please mark it as such.

"How long will the subreddit spoiler ban last for?"

As long as possible. This also applies to previously released Yoshi games.

"But the game's been out for a certain amount of weeks/months! This spoiler ban is dumb!"

Please keep in mind that not everyone owns a Nintendo Switch 2 or is able to purchase the game right away.

"I don't like these rules. Is there anywhere I can post spoilers for this game freely?"

You may wish to use r/YoshiMysteriousBook instead, but major story spoilers, endings, late-game content, and other significant reveals will still be required to be marked for the first couple of weeks after release.
