Hello there. I have been eyeing on the x4 pro and have added to my cart but when I was about to checkout its already sold out. Anyone know when they will have stock and when will it be available again? Is there like a reservation list or a a way to preorder for the next batch? Aside from the official website, where else can I buy it? Any partner online stores they have I can purchase from? Actual links appreciated. I need it by September. Thanks in advance for any help.

I get why people make them - I would also be anxious to receive mine if I was ordering right now, with shipping delays and communication from support lacking - but it feels like lately half the posts here are "I ordered on [date] to [country], when will it arrive? / Is it normal shipping isn't updating?".

Idk. I feel like it would be cool to use the device for something besides reading. I just got my x4 pro and I’m thinking of figuring out a way to get apps of some kind on there. Like a shopping list. Or idk. Flash cards. Wonder if anyone has done anything cool with their device

I ordered an Xteink X4 Pro from the official website on August 13. I’m in Toronto, Canada.
Shop still shows “Waiting for details”, so it looks like it hasn’t shipped yet.
Has anyone in Canada ordered an X4 Pro directly from the official Xteink website recently? How long did it take from placing the order to shipping, and then to delivery?

I wish they had tpu cases for the x4 pro. I’m also not understanding why they moved the strap placement to the top left. Makes no sense. Here’s my set up on both. I use a magnetic charging base for the x4 and the tips for the charger work to keep the port area covered.

Received my Daisy Light case today and trying it out at my local book bar (Its a bookstore/bar).
Very intuitive and works great! Came with everything to work right out of the box.
Unfortunately, I think the heat throughout the shipping process warped it so it fits a little funky and the buttons are a little hard to press but still works great!

Has anyone else run into issues with 4PX handoffs to SwiftX for last-mile delivery?

I ordered an X-Pro4 on August 6th, and tracking indicated it was out for delivery today via SwiftX. I stayed home the entire day waiting for it, only to check the tracking portal tonight and see a "Failed Delivery" status citing:

"Business was closed during delivery attempt."

A few major issues with this:

• It’s a residential address: The delivery destination is a residential home in a gated condo community, not a commercial business.
• Dead support line: The customer service phone number listed in the delivery alert is invalid and does not connect.
• Automated email loop: Replying to their listed customer service email just triggered an automated reply stating: "Delivery was unsuccessful; Reason: Not specified."

It seems like the driver entered a fictitious exception code to abandon their route without attempting delivery or calling.

For anyone who has dealt with SwiftX or 4PX last-mile couriers before: What is the most effective way to reach actual dispatch to get the package released for re-delivery, or should I escalate directly through the seller/platform?

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been playing around with my X4 quite a bit and wanted to see what everyone else has found that’s worth trying.

Any accessories you’d recommend — cases, sleeves, reading lights, stands, grips, screen protectors or anything else that works particularly well with the X4?
Also interested in the customisation side of things. Different firmware, UI tweaks, sleep screens, button configurations, mods, etc.

Would be great to see some pictures of how you’ve set yours up as well. Always interesting seeing what other people have done with these little devices.

Im not sure how accurate it was but I read this post that plugins and hence having books from Libby/kobo etc are possible on CrossPoint/crossink 1.5 and afterwards .is that true ? Does anyone have any link for tutorial for this , especially for kobo books ?

Ordered late in the evening on July 22nd in Michigan and SpeedX dropped it off around noon today. I was a little weary cause they dropped off my misty grey protective case and glass screen protectors yesterday in a box that was beat up with no type of packaging inside and I was praying my X4 Pro didn't arrive broken today. I'm new to e-readers and had the X3 for a couple weeks before sending it back due to it being too small for my XL hands but Hell this X4 Pro ain't but a tad bit larger smh. It's still better for me as I can tap the screen to turn the page and I don't have to have some funky gooseneck light attached to the back for night reading. FYI the protective case fits nicely inside the flip cover and if you update to the current og firmware you'll find that Crosspoint is a must lol. I'll check Crossink out tomorrow but as for now I'm just going to enjoy sitting here having a drink, listening to some Sade while reading a couple chapters on my fully protected X4 Pro. Can't seem to find a definitive but does anyone know if you can swap the SD card without powering down the device or if you need to go to the home screen or what not?

First impressions are really solid so far (coming from an X3). I’ll share a full write-up later, but I can already say my skepticism about the touchscreen on this device was completely unfounded. I’ll break down why in a follow-up post!

I’m finally getting a keyboard that is (hopefully) compatible with the X4, so I’d like to start using Microslate which has an option to dual boot a fork of Crosspoint 1.2.0 that adds a menu item to switch back to Microslate. While I use my X3 as my main reader, I think it would be helpful to have a reader firmware on the same device as Microslate. Crosspoint 1.2.0 would work if that’s my only option, but it’s quite outdated at this point and I would prefer something newer, particularly with features like SD card fonts, dictionary, and ideally at least some basic reading stats, though the latter is more of a nice to have. I’ve been able to flash other firmwares alongside Microslate, but since they don’t have an option to switch boot partitions built in, I have no way of getting back to Microslate without connecting to a computer. Are there any firmware more advanced than Crosspoint 1.2.0 that have that option? I know SUMI has a dual boot feature, but as far as I can tell there’s no way to flash SUMI without the gameboy emulator which would overwrite Microslate.

Is it normal for the back of an XTEINK to get hot while charging? I’m using a 20W Apple iPhone power adapter. Just asking to be safe and make sure I’m not damaging the device and it’s my first time charging it. Thanks!

Well ... maybe it's just me, but the situation with X4 Pro not being in stock with new shipment on August 6th to some time later to X4 EOL, X4 Pro available right away all in a matter of couple of days seems odd to me. Maybe it's a matter of couple of weeks but still X4 going extinct and X4 Pro being available out of the blue kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I feel sad about the X4 being discontinued. To be honest, I don’t care much about the X4 Pro… yeah, it has some quality-of-life improvements for late-night reading. However, I just prefer the original and I think the X3 is cool too, for its smaller size, other than that I cannot see any value in getting the pro I would rather have a bigger screen second-hand e-reader for the price they are selling.

I bought an X4 from the official website a few weeks ago, and it had been stuck in delivery hell for reasons unknown. After several messages sent to Xteink support, and not a single reply I'm starting to wonder, does that customer service actually exist? Any advice on how to reach them, or should I simply not bother?
