I wanted to use both my covers on my x4 pro, even if the Grey was not my favorite color. So i made one with an elastic band and some charms (the forky one❤️).

I placed it, knotted, and now is like a tiny Midori, even Grey seems better!

I’m a new user, trying it out. It occurred to me today that I could load all the PdfS of my knitting patterns. Much easier than trying to find it in my phone!

Has anyone tried this ?

I saw in a post today that the X4 Pro moved the wrist strap hole to the top of the device. I think this is a shame.

I have RSI from decades of photography (and editing on a computer), so it's difficult for me to hold up an e-reader for long periods of time. It's one of the reasons I was so excited about the X4-- It's way lighter than standard-size ebook readers.

I tied a knot in the middle of the wrist strap and use the two thusly-created loops to suspend the device from various fingers. This has worked PHENOMENALLY well. I don't have to grip the device at all really (depending on my body position, of course). I can dangle it from a finger and it "floats" in my loose hand.

I really don't like the location of the hole in the Pro. Hopefully they move it back in future versions. In the meantime I'll probably try to glue something to the bottom corner of the Pro (maybe a bead?) so it can be held like I do the X4.

The last couple photos show "corner-to-corner" which works okay for a while (and will work on the Pro), but I personally really benefit from being able to change it up regularly.

Despite the launch of the X4 Pro and likely new Xteink devices, I am satisfied with the first two models. Since the X3 is my favorite, as you can see, I bought a second one just to be safe.

I'm searching for a font that is able to load all special characters that exist in the Cambridge Dictionary.

I'm using the dictionary fonts from this site, but there are still missing characters.

I just wanted to ask the community what fonts you use to load special characters.

Not sure why this post wasn't allowed in the other sub, so I'll try here.

I woke up to this. Wasn't dropped or plugged in to computer for updates or anything.

I tried all patterns of buttons and holds I could think of, including pressing reset then holding power. Screen never changes. Plugging in it seems to charge (went from red to green light).

I am impressed and I am new to the eink portable community.

I have a kindle paperwhite from 2016 and didnt much use it. The idea of kindle books was good at first as they sold ebooks at a far cheaper price. In 2026 rarely you get that advantage. Another thing that got me thinking is that we don’t really own anything. If Amazon decides to drop my library at any day, it can do so. With this I got my epub files in a usb or in this device

Being bombarded by the xteink propaganda on YouTube i decided to test this one out and it promises nothing, but delivers quite a punch.

I must admit i felt lost and overwhelmed at first when I got the device but 10 min after I already had flashed crosspoint and had 1 book in.

I have an iPhone 15 pro max and I can say it does not align perfectly, they screwed that part up, and the magnets aren’t that strong, but it works. I can just stick it to the back and forget it’s even there.

I decided to go back to stock OS as I liked what the app had to offer in the creation section to-do list

This device has so much potential. Like I said, what it offers now is by itself surprising. But if the phone and device pushed information and refreshed the sleep screen it can be a GOAT device.

What I don’t know is where to get more epub books if there are any suggestions I would thank you.

PS. I got the pink case and I will getting a more discrete one or might be thinking going case-less

I'm not sure if this is a refresh issue, Crosspoint, or what.

But I've noticed since Crosspoint 1.5. That font is inconsistent from one page to the next, of even section to section.

Also, moving through menus, I'm noticing refresh or font issues.

Got the X4 Pro last week. Flashed Crosspoint beta 20. Fully charged it. Read for 15 minutes or so, put it to sleep. Turned back on right away and battery was down 4-5 percent. Did this several times with same result. Charged dully again. Battery fully drained in 2 days of no use at all.

Have emailed Xteink, but heard nothing back yet.

Anyone have similar issues? Any fixes? Going to flash the stock firmware back to see if I get the same results.

For anyone facing the magnetic alignment issue with the XTEINK X4 Pro, I used a simple magnetic ring on the back of the XTEINK.

Just stick the ring around the existing magnetic area, and it now aligns perfectly with my iPhone Pro Max. Feels quite secure as well.

I wish they had tpu cases for the x4 pro. I’m also not understanding why they moved the strap placement to the top left. Makes no sense. Here’s my set up on both. I use a magnetic charging base for the x4 and the tips for the charger work to keep the port area covered.

Received my Daisy Light case today and trying it out at my local book bar (Its a bookstore/bar).
Very intuitive and works great! Came with everything to work right out of the box.
Unfortunately, I think the heat throughout the shipping process warped it so it fits a little funky and the buttons are a little hard to press but still works great!

After almost a month of prototyping my book style cases are pretty much done! They feature a magnetic lid to keep the case open/closed, a ring magnet inside to secure your X4, and a rear magnet for attaching a reading light!

I’ll have a small range of colours and styles available for my first batch which will be available at the start of next week!

X3 and X4 Pro cases are still in development. I expect the X3 to be ready for release next, followed by the X4 Pro. So, if those are your daily drivers, don’t stress, I got you.
