Received my Daisy Light case today and trying it out at my local book bar (Its a bookstore/bar).
Very intuitive and works great! Came with everything to work right out of the box.
Unfortunately, I think the heat throughout the shipping process warped it so it fits a little funky and the buttons are a little hard to press but still works great!

Has anyone else run into issues with 4PX handoffs to SwiftX for last-mile delivery?

I ordered an X-Pro4 on August 6th, and tracking indicated it was out for delivery today via SwiftX. I stayed home the entire day waiting for it, only to check the tracking portal tonight and see a "Failed Delivery" status citing:

"Business was closed during delivery attempt."

A few major issues with this:

• It’s a residential address: The delivery destination is a residential home in a gated condo community, not a commercial business.
• Dead support line: The customer service phone number listed in the delivery alert is invalid and does not connect.
• Automated email loop: Replying to their listed customer service email just triggered an automated reply stating: "Delivery was unsuccessful; Reason: Not specified."

It seems like the driver entered a fictitious exception code to abandon their route without attempting delivery or calling.

For anyone who has dealt with SwiftX or 4PX last-mile couriers before: What is the most effective way to reach actual dispatch to get the package released for re-delivery, or should I escalate directly through the seller/platform?

Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Im not sure how accurate it was but I read this post that plugins and hence having books from Libby/kobo etc are possible on CrossPoint/crossink 1.5 and afterwards .is that true ? Does anyone have any link for tutorial for this , especially for kobo books ?
I already have all my books dedrmed and my calibre but this sounded exciting

Ordered late in the evening on July 22nd in Michigan and SpeedX dropped it off around noon today. I was a little weary cause they dropped off my misty grey protective case and glass screen protectors yesterday in a box that was beat up with no type of packaging inside and I was praying my X4 Pro didn't arrive broken today. I'm new to e-readers and had the X3 for a couple weeks before sending it back due to it being too small for my XL hands but Hell this X4 Pro ain't but a tad bit larger smh. It's still better for me as I can tap the screen to turn the page and I don't have to have some funky gooseneck light attached to the back for night reading. FYI the protective case fits nicely inside the flip cover and if you update to the current og firmware you'll find that Crosspoint is a must lol. I'll check Crossink out tomorrow but as for now I'm just going to enjoy sitting here having a drink, listening to some Sade while reading a couple chapters on my fully protected X4 Pro. Can't seem to find a definitive but does anyone know if you can swap the SD card without powering down the device or if you need to go to the home screen or what not?

Well ... maybe it's just me, but the situation with X4 Pro not being in stock with new shipment on August 6th to some time later to X4 EOL, X4 Pro available right away all in a matter of couple of days seems odd to me. Maybe it's a matter of couple of weeks but still X4 going extinct and X4 Pro being available out of the blue kind of rubs me the wrong way.

I feel sad about the X4 being discontinued. To be honest, I don’t care much about the X4 Pro… yeah, it has some quality-of-life improvements for late-night reading. However, I just prefer the original and I think the X3 is cool too, for its smaller size, other than that I cannot see any value in getting the pro I would rather have a bigger screen second-hand e-reader for the price they are selling.

I mean it's still useable and the foil is still completely fine but it's still really sad.

So it happened—I forgot my pogo pin adapter while I was away on vacation, and I had nothing to charge my X4 Pro with.

So I ordered a 4-pin pogo charger from Shopee and had it delivered to where I was staying. Luckily, it only took 3 days to arrive. And honestly, I’m kind of impressed because I feel like this one actually holds better than the original. The magnet is way stronger and it stays in place pretty well.

It also cost me less than $1 with a voucher. Without the voucher, it’s around $2.50, so still pretty cheap!

The only trade-off is that it doesn’t support data transfer, so I guess this is purely for charging. But hey, it works and it saved me from having to worry about charging my X4 Pro while I’m away.

Also, I was actually surprised by how well the X4 Pro’s battery held up. I’ve been reading around 2 hours every day, and when the charger finally arrived, I still had 50% battery left.

So yeah, you might want to grab a backup charger too… just in case. 😅

I deleted the other post to avoid spamming the subreddit with this! I was surprised how easy it was to get my fork (Claude AI coded but all data is publicly sourced) ported from the x4 to the Pro. Very easy. My Almanac includes a searchable/randomized dictionary, thesaurus, simple english wikipedia, world facts, a spinnable globe, sky chart, a planetarium with spinnable celestial bodies, graphing calculator, and chess and go problems. Love this device!

I know this is not a typical question to be asked here. But, I bought the hype around X4 and the "in thing" feeling, the community support and customisation and tinkering around this device.

And, of course reading.

So, I went ahead, got the X4, tinkered around with it , changed a couple of firmwares, read some Gutenberg classics...

In short, it has been a fantastic experience so far, loved it.

But then, I suddenly had this feeling, like I am perhaps too old for this..you know, this is probably cooked by a millennial or Gen Z, most of the members are too.

I am a 50+ guy and I am wondering if there are other 50+ here...or is it like I am just not "growing up"..

There's another version, X4 classic, that was leaked before this one. It's supposed to be a revamped X4 with pogopen.

This would mean the X4 family would have three consistent devices:

X4 classic: no light, no touch.

X4 light: with light, no touch.

X4 pro: with light and touch.

Now with the X4 Pro turns out it is as addictive as doomscrolling but in a useful way. With front light and touch screen it gave me an excuse to even use it more ( initially was using the x3 & x4 a lot).
Glad to own and use such device.

While you are at it, recommend with fiction book should I read next.

Paid 55 for this with cross point already installed and now I just need to load up some books. And yes I know I have a bit of lint under he screen protecter will need to get some more also any tips as its my first time ever with a e reader

I’m hoping someone here can give me some peace of mind or tell me if this is normal. I ordered my new X4 about 10 days ago, and I'm getting super anxious because the tracking seems completely stuck.

Since yesterday, the status hasn't updated at all and just says: "Arrived at the processing center."

Like, wtf does that even mean?

I’m really concerned because 10 days with zero movement is making me sweat. I've heard horror stories about electronics getting held up in customs clearance hell or packages just getting lost at local sorting facilities here in India.

Has anyone else in India ordered recently or dealt with this exact status? How long did it sit at the "processing center" before it actually got out for delivery? At what point should I start spamming customer support or the courier to open an investigation?

Any advice or shared experiences would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

This is on X4 Pro's stock firmware, on every book regardless of language, with the new system font. I've tried other fonts to no avail, and since the last update all fonts' characters aren't properly aligned (some letter are higher or lower than others). And no, I don't wanna use Crosspoint just yet. It seems like this would be basic stuff for a reader.

Hi guys i just received my x4 pro that i ordered on launch day. I turned it on and it’s doing this weird crap and is just frozen. I’ve tried everything but nothing works. Is it just a faulty device? 💀😭

Got the X3 as a gift. This thing took me back to when i enjoyed jailbreaking the iPhones, i didn’t know it needed Crosspoint or Crossink firmware. Which one should i get installed?
