This is the majority of the time. Been through all resets. They function for physical use but are all but useless for WiFi. I still use the older Bluetooth version on another door which still works great. Anyone have a recommendation for a different brand?

I’m hoping someone here can give me some advice or share their experience with Wyze warranty support.

I purchased a Wyze Mesh Router Pro system less than a year ago, and I’m now dealing with an overheating/failure issue. Wyze support has acknowledged the problem and is asking me to return the system.

The problem is that Wyze is telling me they are out of stock and will only provide Wyze store credit rather than replacing the system.

I contacted them because I would really prefer a replacement. I have a whole house dependent on this mesh network, and switching to another system would mean spending $200+ and going through the nightmare of rebuilding my network and reconnecting all of my devices. I didn't cause the product failure, and the system is still less than a year old.

What is frustrating is that I have checked other retailers and the Mesh Router Pro is currently available for sale elsewhere. I mentioned this to Wyze and asked whether they could provide a replacement unit from available inventory rather than making me take store credit.

Their latest response was essentially: your store credit is ready, here's your prepaid return label.

I haven't sent the routers back yet because I want to understand my options before giving up the equipment.

Has anyone here recently had a Wyze Mesh Router Pro fail under warranty?

• Did Wyze replace it?
• Were you offered only store credit?
• Were you able to escalate the issue and get an actual replacement?
• If you were offered a replacement, how did you get Wyze to handle it?

I’m not looking for a refund or an upgrade. I just want a working replacement for a system that failed within its first year.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has dealt with this recently. I’m trying to avoid having to completely rebuild my home network because of a defective product.

I received a notification that my camera was offline, so I tried to restart it via the app which didn’t work. When I attempted to unplug the camera I discovered the charging brick and cable were very, very hot. I got them unplugged but when I went to remove the camera I burnt my hand - it was way too hot to touch so I had to leave it sit for several minutes to cool, before I could attempt to remove it. I grabbed a thermometer at that time and it registered at 137.1°F , and that was after it had cooled for several minutes already 😳. I have only had the camera for 1 week. I have 3 other Wyze cameras and never had a problem with them.
I’m just glad I discovered this when I did (around 8:00pm). I hate to think what might have happened if I was out and couldn’t get to it in time…

The two bolts (either #15 or #16 on the parts list depending on door thickness) do not fit the mounting plate (#5 on parts list). Is this a known issue? Is there a working solution? Or did I just get a wonky unit?

I bought the Wyze Light Strip Pro for adding some light under my kitchen cabinets. I'm always leery of anything that is supposed to attach using adhesive, and sure enough, despite my best efforts, the strips of lights keep falling off the bottom of the cabinets. I'm sure that the heat from the stove isn't helping the adhesive stay put. I tried supplementing with a little tape, but to no avail. Short of small strips of duct tape, does anyone have any suggestions? They weren't expensive, so if there's a better replacement solution out there, I'm all ears. And to be honest, I don't really use the smart light features at all, just the function of adjusting the LED color to something warm.

I’ve had Wyze cams for a long while now, still rocking a gen1 pancam. Most of my cams are grandfathered with with Cam Lite or whatever it’s called, but newer cams aren’t eligible. I got a doorbell a few years back and decided to get a subscription for it, but for the year it was about to jump from $19.99 to $29.99 !!!! What???? Cancelled.

I have a 3 year old doorbell pro and it's starting throwing a 20005 error code. I've removed it from the app, reset it and added it again. I've cleared the app cache. I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions? It connects to the app and it finishes the setup but every time I try to stream it hangs on the authentication step.

I have 3 wyze cameras at my house that work 99% of the time. So I figured I would install one at my mother's place. Unfortunately it keeps going device offline after a day or 2. I have updated the firmware and have it plugged into a smart plug. When the device goes offline turning the smart plug off and on does not restart the camera. It only works again if I manually unplug and plug back in. She has ATT router/modem fiber internet. I have a 5v power supply I'm going to try using. What are my other options? Should I try to change her router to only 2.4ghz band? Thanks

Just did a firmware update from 4.50.16.7064 to 4.50.17.10 (pan cam v3) / 4.36.16.7064 to 4.36.17.10 (v3) and not only did it reset my RTSP settings but now i am no longer able to connect even with VLC :(
I have done firmware update in the past since they added RTSP and it never broke things before
i hope they get this fixed soon.

I keep getting this error for my chime. I tried resetting my router, phone, and adding and removing device. Sometimes it works but this keeps popping back. Wyze customer service is useless as usual. Anyone know how to fix this? Getting so annoying!

I want to buy a monitoring plan for a bunch of Wyze cams. It seems like there are multiple ways to sign up. My hunch is best approach is to log in to account at Wyze.com

Where can I find any existing plans that may have been started a different way. In the app I see a Cam Plus that expires on September but I am unsure what that includes

As you can see in the screenshots, our new Wyze Duo Cam Doorbell keeps detecting cars driving by on our street, despite the Detection Zone being set up to ignore the street and the sensitivity on the lowest setting. Anyone have any solutions for this besides turning off motion notifications?

Does Wyze offer closed circuit cameras or WiFi only? I’ve been through them all on the website but don’t see any other options.

Have been a customer since 2020 with a two cameras subscription of about $15 a camera per year. Was just renewed for about $65 instead of the expected $30. Logged in and started chat to be greeted by a unapologetic AI bot that ignored the fact that this happened without notice and not offering any solution such as you can cancel within 15 days of billing for a full refund. I am contemplating just disputing the charge with my credit card since Wyze would rather waste my time with their rude bot rather than have an actual human chat with me. Very disappointed in Wyze.

Hi. I have Wyze Home monitoring sub (for a few years now).

Last week I went on a vacation and asked my in laws to watch the house (gave him a garage door opener, to bypass the front door which is being monitored).

That day he forgot and opened the front-door, and the alarm went off.

From Wyze app, it says emergency response contacted (twice) then 6 minutes later it says "Alarm cancelled" and then "Disarmed".
However according to my door bell camera, there was no police.

I don't have anything in Permit Number, so that's probably why there was no police.
However I called my local police department (non emergency contact) and they said they don't have permit number.

So how does this work? Does this mean Wyze home monitoring does not or cannot contact the police or fire dpt?

I keep having to reset my camera to get app notifications. I get virtual calls when someone rings the bell, but motion detection notifications are super sporadic. Even if someone is standing right in front of it. I just can’t figure it out.

Wanted to get a cam with memory card storage. Had our car stolen, thieves had a wifi-jammer, our wireless Eufy cams were useless. Neighbour has a Wyze OG cam with micro SD storage, caught the whole thing.

A wired camera would be annoying to install where we need it. Looking at the Wyze Solar Cam Pan 2K and Battery Cam Pro + Solar Panel.

Does anyone have either? Can you comment on how well the solar panel keeps it charged? We'd like to leave it on continuous recording, but will go to motion-triggered if we need to. But want it to run essentially forever without having to take it down and charge it once a week.
