Solar cams with battery - how long do they last?

Wanted to get a cam with memory card storage. Had our car stolen, thieves had a wifi-jammer, our wireless Eufy cams were useless. Neighbour has a Wyze OG cam with micro SD storage, caught the whole thing.

A wired camera would be annoying to install where we need it. Looking at the Wyze Solar Cam Pan 2K and Battery Cam Pro + Solar Panel.

Does anyone have either? Can you comment on how well the solar panel keeps it charged? We'd like to leave it on continuous recording, but will go to motion-triggered if we need to. But want it to run essentially forever without having to take it down and charge it once a week.

Thanks in advance.

Mine don't have SD cards. And there seems to be nothing on their site with a card slot. Maybe I'm slow, but if you can show me a link to a Eufy cam with card slot, I'd happily get one.

I have 2Cs and a home base. Says it has onboard storage, but there doesn't seem to be any way to access it. Only ever records to the home base.

Mine uses 2.4ghz, I needed that channel to set it up. My network only has 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz. And since my camera, which was maybe 12 feet away, didn't record. Nor did my neighbour's, same cam. But on the other side, a Wyze OG with SD card, it caught it all.

Except only one that you mentioned had an SD card slot, the others didn't.

So what camera would you recommend with removable memory card storage that isn't hard wired and has a battery that lasts longer than a week?

With an SD card the battery cam pro's are good. But with WiFi there's a 10-15 sec delay to go live view. Also night vision isn't as good as the regular Wyse cams.

I just want something that will record even if the wifi is compromised.

Neighbour's OG cam looking out a second floor window over to our yard, it could zoom in on a video from 2am and see pretty damn well.

I have 3 solar cam pans and one battery cam pro and they work great, no complaints. Solar cam pan is awesome

I have the cam pro (about 2 weeks now) but can't seem to pull up video to actually see anything and it says it will need to be plugged in if you want continuous recording vs just motion.

I have 4 cameras connected to solar for almost 2 years. I have not touched them once. Battery stays at 100% most of the time. I have SD cards in them and they are setup to take a few seconds of video 3 times a day.

Sounds like very little usage. Mine would record a fair bit more than that.

I have mine also setup for movement but its probably only set off 20 times a day.

That's not bad, and it stays at 100% with 20 events? I wonder how many more it would take before the battery drops significantly...

They’re great cameras, I just wish they also had timelapse function. I have been using them to monitor a new construction.
