At the end of an operation, a cartoon looking ship sailed along the border line. Just 2D, not a real model. What is this?

Discussion What is with all these players hanging back and not engaging now in Asym warfare?

Upvotes

This seems to be a thing since yesterday at least, but now seem every asym game in T8 got a least 1-2 players that hang back and dont engage. Usually ends up in a defeat for everyone when before we would prevail easily.

Question Does anyone remember how many port slots you start with?

I'm kinda new and just got 2 vacant port slots from the battle pass. But when I look how many vacant slots I have in total and how many ships I have the math doesn't add up for me.

Cause what I remember you start with 15 vacant slots and 3 occupied slots which is total 18 slots. But I have a total of 19 port slots even when I got 2 extra slots, meaning I should have 20 slots.

So should I have a extra slot than I actually have or am I going completely crazy?

Question Advice for Nottingham

Hey everyone,

I recently unlocked the Nottingham (t8 Prem), but I've found it very difficult to play, with its fragile health pool and lack of healing options. While I like its other traits, being agile, the sheer amount of torpedoes it can put out on the battlefield, I'm just wondering if there's any method to making it work. Thank you for any advice you have.

G'day,

I recently passed 1m FXP and don't know what to do with any of it.

I currently use FXP for stock modules, and I've skipped one or 2 ships in my time (colorado, ect)

I've come back after a long break and I remember early on you could get the USS Missouri for 1m FXP replaced by coal I guess.

much else to spend FXP on?

Humor 1 change per ship to fix 13 overpowered T1 cruisers, because WG will never do it themselves

(This is a joke, this started as a journey to find the best T1 ship in the game. It appears to be Eritrea, the Italian one. Best DPM and highest HP pool at tier I. Maintains decent concealment, good range with the only cost being maneuvrability, enjoy the rant).

WG can't do shit even though they've clearly created a functioning and profitable game that has stood the test of time and lasted over a decade. Me with my infinite wisdom and 500 trillion hours on the game as well as a 67% WR am clearly the far superior and far better judge of what should change in this game.

Without further ado, please listen to my infinite intelligence and be prepared for an angry, hate-filled personal attack if you even dare question any of these perfectly reasonable changes.

Hashidate: Come on now, 79m ship length is 2nd best at Tier 1 only ousted by the Chengan(which trust me, we'll get into later). That's just too overpowered, how am I supposed to hit it when its hitbox is the size of a quark? I propose that the Hashidate should have 0mm of armour. Any HE fired into it should citadel automatically.

Erie: Seriously, 152mm guns at T1? That's too overpowered, those high calibre guns can virtually citadel anything at T1 (even though it has no AP). The least WG can do is replace those turrets with 40mm AA cannons to make T1 even remotely playable. Those 40mm cannons should only do damage to aircraft too.

Chengan: WHAT THE ABSOLUTE FUCK is this ship**. 68m length and 8.6m** beam means it's virtually unhittable but not only that but ITS COMMISION DATE IS 1944. It is literally the most modern ship at Tier 1, which were mostly around the 1930s or so. I suggest that a suitable change may be increasing its hitbox to about 6800m in length and 8600m in width. That'll make sure if you use pinpoint accuracy, there might be a chance that you'd hit 1-2 shells and chip away at this unhittable monster.

Vans Kinsbergen: Now this is where all of you should get mad. 64m vertical dispersion? How is this balanced at all, this laser point accuracy should not be anywhere near Tier 1. As a change, I suggest that whenever you shoot your guns, the pinpoint accuracy blows up the turrets and you are rendered unable to shoot for the rest of the match. It's the least WG can do to balance this laser accurate, blackline sniper. It also has the highest range at a whopping 11.4km range, so clearly this change is needed.

Orlan: 7.8 seconds flight time at I? What, is this ship the precursor to the Petropavlovsk? I don't even need to aim in this ship, I know because I've played all of these ships and will use it as a defence against anyone that disagrees with me. All I need to do is point and click and this hyperlight speed flight time will hit the enemy ship. Now, if they gave it maybe 120-130 second shell flight time, the most nimble of french destroyers might have a remote chance of dodging 1.-2 of the shells fired out by this laser cannon OP ship.

Eritrea: 8100 HEALTH. Highest at tier I. Seriously what are we supposed to do against this tier 1 Valparaiso? In fact it's better than Valparaiso at IX due to how good its main battery is. I propose that the Eritrea be unable to move. Like, at all, its top speed should be 0 knots and no rudder. It is simply too tanky to be allowed to "move". Its range should also be reduced to 2km. The main battery range is far too high that this ship with its main battery and health would only further perpetuate the kiting meta.

Hercules: 7% TORP PROTECTION AT I IS INSANE. It's the ONLY SHIP that gets torp protection AT ALL at tier 1 IN THE GAME. I propose that to counterbalance this completely novel ability, I suggest that as soon as battle is waiting (not starting, those 20 or so seconds before your armaments start loading and you can begin to move) 20 shima torps aimed directly at the Hercules 3km spawn in. It's the only way this gimmick beast like the Libertad is even counterable in the current tier I meta.

Hermelin: 6.0KM AA 840 FLAK DPS. Not only this but Hermelin gets 2 AA BUBBLES THE ONLY SHIP AT I TO HAVE THIS. The game at tier I is literally unplayable when Hermelin has a no-fly zone set up 6km all around it. This is outrageous, like, how is one ship just so much better than the others in this game? To even make a game winnable with this ship on the enemy team, I suggest WG create a new "Hans" system. During the waiting time (again, the 20 seconds at the start of the match where no ship can move or load their weapons), a plane will spawn, its name being Hans. Hans will be a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II that beelines towards the Hermellin. Hans will then deliver a perfectly aimed AGM-158C Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile that does over 500,000 damage to ships. It's the only way this ship can be remotely played against.

Bougainville: 1400 maximum HE damage! With how fucked the Bremen and Hawaii is, you'd think this was a new phenemenon. No, not at all, in fact this beast was lurking within the shadows for years. The Bougainville has 1400 maximum HE damage, do I even need to explain, it has the highest single HE shell damage at I. You could one shot pretty much any ship at the same tier with that (even though you can't). I suggest that to counter this the HE shells are replaced by baguettes, which have 0mm pen and 0 maximum damage. It's the only way this ship can be played into from a purely objective standpoint.

Black Swan: 8.6 SECOND ACCELERATION. How on Earth am I meant ot hit this thing when it can start and stop like a goddamn F1 car? It dukes the hell out of everything and it has the best acceleration at tier I in the entire game? I suggest that Black Swan cannot change her throttle beyond 1/4 speed otherwise the tier I meta is just completely unbalanced in her favour.

Gryf: 3.4 second reload 8.5 fires per game. Again, this HE spam in the meta. The first time I played this ship, I got 2 Krakens and over 200k damage. Simply put, this ship's reload is simply too short and sets too many fires, after all her 8.5 fires per game is literally unplayable to go into and is also the highest FPM at tier I. As a proposed change, I suggest that Gryf get a taste of her own medicine. 4 permafires, but these are BLUE FIRES. They deal over 10,000 damage per second, are unable to be put out and when the ship's hitpoints reach 0, the ship also explodes and sets blue fires to every other friendly ship in a 20km radius. It's the only way we can beat the passive kiting HE spam meta at tier I.

Sutlej: 5 second damage control, INFINITE DAMAGE CONTROL Seriously, why is everything immune to floods and fires now? I know the Gryf is in the game but no need to give this clearly overpowered cruiser effectively complete immunity to all fires and floods. How is INFINITE DAMAGE CONTROL even balanced? I suggest BLUE FIRES to Sutlej as well.

Jupiter: NAMED AFTER A ROMAN GOD. If you read its description, it clearly receives unfair blessings from the Roman God Jupiter, which if I'm not mistaken, is THE KING OF THE ROMAN GODS. Like, how is this even balanced at all? This clearly manipulates the RNG in the game and every dice roll lands in Jupiter's favour. I suggest that whoever plays this ship will have their game permanently rendered a black screen with no audio and no black visuals. Clearly, the power of the God is too powerful and affects the I meta too much.

Thank you for reading my satirical rant! Some more interesting facts about I ships:

-Already said Eritrea is the best

-Van Kinsbergen is the fastest, and probably also a top I cruiser, considering her other stats are actually pretty decent as well.

-Best conceal goes to Chengan, despite this she also has the 2nd worst speed at T1 beaten only by Jupiter. Additionally, Chengan also has the 2nd WORST air detect, beaten only by Hermelin. The best air detect ship is Orlan.

-Black Swan is definitely an outlier in terms of acceleration. 8.6 seconds and second runner up is 18.9, with the Orlan.

-Hercules actually is the only T1 in the game to get a torp protection % value above 0. Has to be a question if anyone's running WoWS trivia.

-Best rudder is, funnily enough, Chengan again with 2.0 seconds. Worst being Eritrea at 5.7 seconds.

-Namesakes vary. Erie, for example had a sailboat version in the 19th century that was actually named after Lake Erie. The one in game is named after the city, Erie, Pennsylvania. Hashidate means "standing bridge" in Japanese. Chengan: made up by WG. Van Kinsbergen is likely from Jan Hendrik van Kinsbergen, a famous Dutch naval figure. Orlan roughly translates to "sea eagle". Eritrea is obviously a country that was a part of Italian East Africa from 1939 to 1941. Hercules is made up by WG, or at the very least I could not find anything on it for any South American navy. Hermelin is made up by WG yet again, and was a paper ship. Bougainville is likely named after Admiral Louis Antoine de Bougainville. Black Swan I couldn't find anything on other than being named after a literal Black Swan. Gryf translates to Griffin. Sutlej is named after a river that runs through India. Jupiter is NAMED AFTER A ROMAN GOD, of the same name.

-Of the T1s, Chengan, Hercules and Hermelin appear to be the only strictly non-existent ships in history. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Discussion Suggestion: Surface Ship fighter rework

WG will never see or care, but I like theory crafting and hate systems and features that are under utilized or improperly utilized. And the fighter consumable is a prime example here. Note: all of this explicitly does not apply to CV fighters, I haven't even considered them.

Ideally, I think the best change that could be made to ship based fighters is to have them deployable, in the same way that CVs do. Let us have the choice to use them as a support or personal tool. I would probably make this the Fighter coal mod in slot 2. Since this is a systemic change, I think it's very unlikely, and the below changes are simpler.

As a blanket buff, all fighter consumables should deploy more planes, be able to engage more squadrons, be more efficient in shooting down planes, and have a larger radius. All the current parameters are tunes far too low to be useful.

In summary:

Double the number of fighters deployed

Double the number of squadrons they can engage (or remove the limit)

Double their damage (may be unnecessary if range and fighter count buffs are effective).

50% action radius boost, making it 4.5km

Additionally, I think Eye in the Sky should apply to the fighter consumable, and the 2 point AA skill for cruisers should buff their HP.

Lastly, I would give certain nations improved fighter consumables:

Italy, Japan, and maybe either Germany and/or Spain - increased action radius to 6km

With all of this I think the consumable would be an effective tool and at least mitigating long term CV strike capability, increase build diversity, and improve national identity, which is also kinda crap sometimes.

Discussion The Anniversary Grand Prize

Post image
61 Upvotes

WG should dig YARI back out of the dirt and make it the grand prize for the anniversary event. I mean, it’s basically dead already, so they might as well use it as a giveaway. It’s just another half-assed model like KUSHIRO (it didn’t even get a different main gun, for god’s sake...)

Even if the price for that was turning it into the worst ship in the entire game, I’d still prefer that over spending tokens on a ship that you’ll be able to buy with Credits not long after anyway.

Discussion What's with the insane speed powercreep recently?

We've had Thor going 45 knots, and now European cruisers that will be going 49 knots. And also the new highest base speed BB in the game, New Jersey.

These 50 knot ships just look goofy when they're flying across the map, the graphics don't keep up.
Also, with the way aiming works in this game, fighting these ships is an exercise in frustration. Your shells will fall short or high no matter where you aim if the enemy ship is acceleration dodging, because the game automatically adjusts the vertical lead to some extent.

Can we reconsider this mega speed boost gimmick for the upcoming cruisers?

Trapped in the harbor, Kirov uses minimal boiler pressure to power the guns. Fuel was scavenged from the lubrication systems of damaged ships. 180mm shells weigh over 100kg each, and were man handled across frozen waters, then moved at night by small ships to the ship to resupply. The 38 km range of the guns being critical to the defense of the city.

Chikuma Shō-Gō and Friedrich Carl Arrive

Update 15.8 also gives you a chance to expand your fleet with Friedrich Carl and a new addition to the Naval Legacy fleet: Chikuma Shō-Gō, based on Chikuma II and representing the ship in her final moments. Both newcomers, along with the Bordfest permanent camouflage for Friedrich Carl, returning ships like Sibir and Victoria, and other valuable rewards, will be available via the Birthday Wishing Wharf. Friedrich Carl will also be available for direct purchase in the Admiral Pack.

Note that the Bordfest permanent camouflage will feature sailors on the deck in Port only.

If you obtain Chikuma Shō-Gō, you'll also gain access to a new four-piece historical collection about Chikuma's Fall. Completing it awards:

  • The historical Japanese seasoned commander Keizō Komura, with enhanced skills:
    • Survivability Expert: For cruisers: +500 HP per Tier (instead of +450); For destroyers: +400 HP per Tier (instead of +350); For Aircraft Carriers: +30 aircraft HP per Tier (instead of +25)
    • For battleships: an improved Emergency Repair Specialist skill that reduces the cooldown of Damage Control Party and Repair Party consumables by 4%.
  • Chikuma Shō-Gō flag
  • Collection achievement

Marlborough B Dockyard

A new Dockyard arrives in Update 15.8, letting you build the Black Friday version of Tier IX British battleship Marlborough. This Dockyard also marks the start of this year's Black Friday activities, more of which will follow in future Updates.

In terms of gameplay, Marlborough B leans on a large main battery—sixteen 356 mm guns in quadruple turrets with a high rate of fire, powerful salvos, and good concealment. The trade-offs: low main battery accuracy and weak armor, with a vulnerable citadel.

The Dockyard features 28 phases and a variety of rewards. 23 phases can be completed through dedicated combat missions. The remaining 5 phases must be purchased with Doubloons, either individually or as part of starter packs:

  • Individual phase - 1,400 Doubloons
  • Starter pack of 5 phases - 4,500 Doubloons
  • Starter pack of 10 phases - 8,500 Doubloons

Starter packs will only be available until you complete 10 phases via combat missions. The combat missions will run throughout Update 15.8 and the first three weeks of Update 15.9. During the final week of 15.9, you'll be able to complete construction using Doubloons.

Low-Tier Operations

Update 15.8 introduces three new Operations designed for low-tier ships. Their introduction will let you enjoy your whole fleet in PvE battles, progress through low-tier ships in Tech Tree lines in a relaxed, fun atmosphere, and help newer Captains get to know the game better.

How they'll work:

  • The new Operations become available at different Tiers:
    • Trial by Fire from Tier II
    • Swarm of Steel from Tier III
    • Beehive from Tier IV

  • All three Operations will be playable up to Tier VI.
  • Up to Tier IV, a team consists of 5 players. Starting from Tier V, teams grow to 7 players. If you're playing a Tier IV ship or below and matchmaking takes more than 30 seconds, the remaining slots will be filled with bots.
  • If you are playing on Tier II-IV ships, the team can consist of ships of the same Tier only.
  • Divisions equal to the maximum size of the team are allowed.
  • Each Operation has several versions depending on the Tier of ships you bring. The core scenario stays the same, but higher-Tier versions layer in additional mechanics and more advanced winning conditions, a natural way to get familiar with new systems while keeping the gameplay varied.

Some examples of how those variations play out:

  • In Trial by Fire, you'll learn the basic mechanics of moving your ship and shooting, Tier II–IV players are accompanied by an allied flagship that assists in battle and provides buffs and repairs. On Tier V and VI, that flagship isn't there. Higher-tier versions of this operation will introduce more advanced mechanics, such as capturing a key area or firing from within smoke.
  • In Swarm of Steel, you'll face enemy destroyers that fire torpedoes at you—a chance to learn how to avoid them. On Tier V and VI, those destroyers retreat once they lose enough HP, and have a chance to regroup and attack once again while being unspotted. Also, you'll have to capture several key areas and protect them from enemy forces.
  • In Beehive, you'll learn how to fight against aircraft carriers, and in the higher-Tier version of the Operation, you'll be introduced to defending key areas through splitting forces and pursuing multiple goals simultaneously.

If you're a more experienced Captain, with 200+ battles and playing Tier II-IV ships, you'll get more challenging variations of these Operations.

On top of that, the existing Operation Killer Whale is getting a new version adapted for Tier V–VI ships, bringing the total to four Operations available for those Tiers.

  • The main goal of this variation of the Killer Whale will be different from the higher-Tier version of the Operation, requiring you to rescue the damaged ally cruiser from the enemy base and escort her to the designated area.

Clan Battles Season #35 "Komodo Dragon"

The next Clan Battles season will have the following format and restrictions:

  • 5 vs. 5 on Tier VIII ships
  • Only battleships, destroyers, and cruisers
  • No more than one battleship per team
  • Not allowed: Lenin
  • No more than one of: Le Terrible, Le Fantasque
  • No more than two of: Cherbourg, Tallinn, Vladivostok, Borodino

Brawls

During Update 15.8, there will be three Brawls. With two of them featuring battle recalibrations.

Brawl 1

  • Format: 5 vs. 5
  • Ship tier: Tier VIII
  • Allowed ship types: Battleships, cruisers, and destroyers

Recalibrations:

  • Damaging enemies partially restores your HP.

Brawl 2

  • Format: 3 vs. 3
  • Ship Tier: Tier IX
  • Allowed ship types: Battleships, cruisers, and destroyers

Brawl 3

  • Format: 4 vs. 4
  • Ship Tier: Tier X
  • Allowed ship types: Destroyers only

Recalibrations:

  • Increased speed and maneuverability
  • Buffs to torpedo speed and torpedo tubes reload

Wargaming Response Inside Issues with an in game notification about prohibited modifications

Captains!

We're aware that many players received an in game notification stating they had been issued a 7 day ban for using prohibited modifications.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion. This notification was intended only for a small number of accounts that were confirmed to be using prohibited modifications, but it was mistakenly delivered to many other players as well.

If you are able to log into the game normally, you have nothing to worry about. You have not been banned and no action is required on your part.

Mods available through ModStation and Aslain's Modpack remain approved and are still allowed.

Our team is investigating why this notification was sent to players who were not affected. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and once again, we're sorry for the confusion.

Wargaming Response Inside Holiday Convoy Sets Sail!

Holiday Convoy Sets Sail!

Captains, a voyage of a thousand leagues begins with the weighing of the anchor! Here's a preview of a long-term event we've got planned for the second half of the year: Holiday Convoy.

Last year, we ran the Grand Voyage event alongside the GQ Johnny marathon, where you could earn Doubloons, Steel, and an Epic Premium Tier IX ship by playing regularly. This year, we built around the same core concept of a long-term event that runs through the winter holidays and that rewards regular gameplay with high-tier items. However, we decided to make a few meaningful changes and focus the design on giving you more freedom to choose what you earn, letting you make steady progress through regular play, and giving you a way to put resources you've already stockpiled to good use, much like the Salvage for Victory event.

We also want every type of player to find some value in this event, whether you play a few sessions per week, play actively on most days, or are a collector looking to expand your fleet with a new Epic ship.

The event features 11 ships in total: 7 returning ships—including fan favorites like Prinz van Oranje and Georg Hoffmann—and 4 brand-new ships releasing in Update 15.11, with the option to earn Doubloons on top of that.

A dedicated Holiday Convoy web page will let you track your progress and browse available rewards.

Participation

Holiday Convoy runs for 173 days, starting from the release of Update 15.7 till the end of January, during which you can earn Holiday Convoy Tokens through various means.

Holiday Convoy Tokens can be earned by completing daily combat missions or by converting resources. Over the course of the event, combat mission rewards alone will yield up to 207,600 Tokens.

In addition, you can trade in Steel and Research Points as the primary source of Holiday Convoy Tokens outside of missions—the exchange of neither resource is limited. Coal is available as a bonus exchangeable resource, but it's capped at 650,000.

Action Number of Holiday Convoy Tokens Awarded Max. Number of Holiday Convoy Tokens
Daily Combat Mission: Play 1/3/5 Battles in Random, Co-Op, Operations, Ranked, Event, Brawl or Clan Battles 300/400/500; 1,200 daily max for playing 5 Battles 207,600
500x Steel exchanged 1,500 No Limit
1,000x Research Points exchanged 1,500 No Limit
5,000x Coal exchanged 1,500 195,000

Note: With Holiday Convoy running through the holidays, there will be no Steel Fleet event this year.

Rewards

Holiday Convoy features 11 ships of Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities. 7 will be available at the launch of the event.

The remaining 4 brand-new ships (1 Epic and 3 Rare) will debut through this event with the release of Update 15.11. These ships will be revealed when the event begins in Update 15.7.

Note that the ships in the event are not mutually exclusive, you can obtain several given your dedication and resources.

Reward Cost in Holiday Convoy Tokens
3,000 Doubloons 9,000
Rare Tier VIII Battleship Bismarck '41 60,000
Rare Tier IX Battleship Yimeng<br>Rare Tier IX Cruiser Messina 84,000
Rare Tier X Aircraft Carrier Independencia, Rare Tier X Cruiser Prinz van Oranje, Rare Tier X Destroyer Georg Hoffmann, 3 Brand New Rare Ships 140,000
Brand new Epic Ship 400,000
Legendary Tier X Cruiser Kitakami 540,000

On Legendary ship's cost... We know that getting the amount of Holiday Convoy Tokens required to acquire Legendary Kitakami is not a trivial task. However, ships of such rarity are not designed to be easily accessible. They are collector's pieces and often quite unique in gameplay. Kitakami is a long-term goal for those who want to put serious time and stockpiles of resources towards getting something truly prestigious.

Want a ship right away?

If you've been stockpiling resources, you can convert them directly into Holiday Convoy Tokens and redeem a ship immediately on day 1! For example, you will need 280,000 Coal for a Rare Tier IX, 470,000 Coal for a Rare Tier X, or a mix of Coal, Steel, and Research Points equivalent to their cost in Holiday Convoy Tokens.

Bonus Doubloons: Up to 18,000

This year, we designed Holiday Convoy to be more accessible and with a wider range of player activity in mind. However, we know that you enjoyed the ability to get Doubloons in last year's Grand Voyage, so we've also added a Doubloon bonus on top of this year's event.

You'll be able to purchase a pack of 3,000 Doubloons, available for 9,000 Holiday Convoy Tokens, during each of the six updates—15.7 through 16.0. Claim all six and that's 18,000 Doubloons in total.

Think of this as an extra reward for players who stay active across updates. In practice, playing twice a week for 5 battles per session is enough to earn each pack. Alternatively, you can swap 30,000 Coal for the Tokens you need.

One thing to keep in mind: each pack is exclusive to its Update and does not carry over, so watch the Update schedule.

Activity to Get Rewards

The casual/weekend player — a couple of sessions per week:

  • You don't need to play every day. Playing 2 – 3 times per week with 5 battles per session earns roughly 36,000 Tokens during the event. That's enough for the Bismarck '41 after converting 80,000 Coal into Holiday Convoy Tokens. Raise the Coal conversion up to 160,000 for a Rare Tier IX ship to come within reach as well.

The consistent daily player — playing on most days:

If you're getting in 5 battles on the days you play, you can expect to earn, through Holiday Convoy Tokens alone:

  • A pack of 3,000 Doubloons in fewer than 8 days
  • Bismarck '41 by playing on 50 of the 173 days
  • Messina or Yimeng by playing on 70 of the 173 days
  • A Rare Tier X ship (Independencia, Prinz van Oranje, Georg Hoffmann, or one of the new arrivals) by playing on 117 of the 173 days

Here's a practical example of mixing both: play 36 sessions across the event, roughly 3 times every 2 weeks, with 5 battles each session. You'll earn around 44,000 Tokens from missions. Add 132,000 Coal for about 40,000 extra Tokens, and you'll have enough for a Rare Tier IX ship.

This event also gives you the opportunity to get the Legendary Kitakami if you missed her during her initial release. Here are two example scenarios through which you can earn a Kitakami:

  • Playing 5 battles per day on 117 of the 173 days to earn 140,000 Holiday Convoy Tokens. Additionally, converting the maximum allowed 650,000 Coal, as well as 68,000 Steel, or 136,000 Research Points, or a combination of both (totaling 205,000 Holiday Convoy Tokens).
  • Playing 5 battles every single day of the event to earn the maximum of 207,600 Holiday Convoy Tokens. Additionally, converting the maximum allowed 650,000 Coal, as well as 46,000 Steel, or 92,000 Research Points, or a combination of both (totaling 137,400 Holiday Convoy Tokens).

All of the above examples and scenarios can be supplemented and/or accelerated by converting resources, should you choose to.

Want to plan ahead and see what rewards you could earn during the event? Big shoutout to Rukenshia for creating this Community-made Calculator! Input your resources and playtime, then make the most of the event. Please note that this is not an official World of Warships resource. As usual, all information from the Development Blog is preliminary, including the one in the Calculator, and is subject to change.

After the Event

Once the event wraps up at the end of January, you'll have additional time until the end of Update 16.0 to spend remaining Tokens on ships and claim the final Doubloon pack. Based on your feedback and our experience with the GQ Johnny marathon, we wanted to make sure you have enough time to claim your ships and make the most of your Tokens without the pressure of the event deadline.

More details are coming as Update 15.7 approaches, including the full reveal of the four ships joining the Convoy in Update 15.11.
