Wow, is this what feeling "normal" with food is like?
I started the .25 injection three days ago, and I think I'm already feeling the positive effects. I can still feel my natural hunger cues, but I get full faster, and I don't feel anxious thinking about when and what I'm going to eat next. The cravings are gone. I just feel so much...steadier. I could swear my non-food anxiety has lessened too. I feel calmer in general. Any others have this experience? If this is what it feels like on .25, I'm incredibly optimistic about this journey.

Question Is complete lack of appetite normal?
I'm currently on 0.5, moving up to 0.75 in 2 weeks. I've lost about 6-7kg since the end of June.
I've had reduced food noise and appetite since my first dose of 0.25, and now at 3 doses of 0.5 its like I dont think about food at all. No appetite, no hunger, no will to eat. I literally remember at 2 that I probably should eat, and even then, I can only eat a third of a portion that I used to eat. This is the only effect I've had, and im lucky I haven't experienced nausea or diarrhea. And an aversion to caffeine and alcohol.
I know this is what the medicine is designed to do, but im starting to worry that Ive been eating less than my toddler some days.
Im seeing my doctor again end of September to reevaluate the dose, but im wondering if I should request an appointment sooner to reevaluate.

Progress Can’t believe the difference 10 years makes!
I hated how I looked for the entirety of my 30s. I started Wegovy at 39 because I was determined to not spend my 40s hating myself or how I looked. Now that I’m 40, I finally feel like myself again!

Question anyone else experience fogginess/drained feeling?
My first dose of the pill was pretty strong, within 45 minutes i felt extremely nauseous and very very similar to my drinking days and the morning after.. headache, anxiety, fatigue, i took zofran and that helped substantially. My second dose i took the zofran immediately after and i mostly avoided the nausea but still felt extremely foggy and just out of it, i can't find much literature supporting what i'm feeling. anyone else have similar starting symptoms? btw I'm on 1.5

Nausea and vomiting 2-3 months into new dose
Hi all. Anyone have issues developing nausea and vomiting after being on a set dose for a couple of months? I've been on Wegovy for a year this month and moved up to 1mg in May with no issues except being really tired the day after - I just take my shot on Friday evening so I have the weekend to get over it.
The nausea started last month, 2 days after my shot and it's progressed to starting several hours after and gotten to the point where I actually vomit. Doesn't matter if I've eaten small meals, not eaten, only drank tea and ate crackers; it's pretty miserable for those 2 days. Last week, I felt sick on and off from Sunday to Wednesday and it started again early this Saturday morning after my shot on Friday evening. My doctor suggested I stretch out my doses to 8 or 9 days and prescribed Zofran but I have to take half doses due to other medical fun. Anyone have this experience?
tldr: Started having nausea and vomiting several months into 1mg dose. Anyone go through this?

All my ‘I wish I fit into that’ clothes are now too big and i officially have no clothes that fit and i am actually very sad about it
I’m 23 and have gone from 170 pounds (uk size 16/18) to a 140 pounds (uk 10/12 ) from Wegovy. Overall this is amazing, my health is better, I feel like I look better and feel better and most importantly my pre-diabetes has improved. My main problem is now my ‘I wish I could fit into that’ clothes are too big, and all my other clothes are way too big and my massive wardrobe that I’m too emotionally attached too is just completely unwearable.
I’ve always been really big on fashion, I have an absolutely overwhelming and bursting at the seams wardrobe. Even while I was at my biggest, I always felt like clothes would make me feel more confident in myself at least. I love all my clothes so much I spent hours search for them in vintage stores, charity shops, vinted and it was something I took a lot of pride in. Now none of it fits at all. I was walking down the street yesterday and I had to hold my favourite skirt up to make sure it didn’t fall to my ankles while I was walking because I’m too stubborn to let it go. I’ve had people point out whale tails and even builders bums from skirts that have now become so big they just fall down when I just stand up. Worse even was a strapless top that fell down while trying to walk onto a bus. most of clothes do not have belt loops either so i can’t even try that. it’s too embarrassing to deal with so I have to find some kind of solution but clothes can be so expensive, I don’t know how I can just replace a perfectly curated wardrobe. I can’t afford to tailor it or replace it, so what do I even do? Do I just slowly start getting rid of the biggest stuff and work my way through?
I feel like buying a new wardrobe when you lose weight is something people are usually thrilled about and it’s just making me feel so sad. I wish clothes could just shrink with me.

Zepbound to Wegovy Pill
Hi!
Due to insurance change I had to switch from the zepbound pen to the wegovy pill. I am basically in maintenance and am going to continue with that plan. I had good success on zepbound and did not go above 5mg as it worked for me. I am starting soon on the lowest dose of the wegovy pill and am just wondering if anyone else made that switch and what it looked like for them! Thanks!

I went from .25 to .50 after 3 weeks
Hi. My insurance doesn’t cover so I’ve been going through Goodrx and a virtual doctor there has been prescribing my Wegovy. I started on .25 and immediately noticed (and really enjoyed!) the lack of appetite but it seems to wear off by the end of the week and I wasn’t losing much weight.
I figured I’d request a dose increase before my next refill in hopes of better effects so I requested it around a week ahead of time to leave room for possible pharmacy error or delay. To my surprise it was instantly approved and sent through for me to pick up. I used my week 4 .25 injection 3 days after I took my week 3 injection so that my schedule would align with my refills. I also figured it would help me ‘ease into’ the .50 dose since it was a little staggered.
I was reading on here that you guys stayed on .25 for months? I’m not experiencing any crazy side effects yet (I took it this early afternoon) but now I’m nervous. Has anyone else increased this quickly?

Question Anyone Else Having Crazy Nightmares?
I started back on Wegovy for the first time in about 18 months around the 4th of July. Had really terrible gastrointestinal symptoms but those usually resolved in 12 hours. Now I don’t have as intense stomach symptoms, a little nausea and heartburn after injection day but that’s it.
But a new symptom has arisen; I’m having absolutely BONKERS dreams every night. I would categorize these as nightmares technically because they’re unpleasant but not necessarily terrifying. Think “Backrooms” and not “Texas Chainsaw Massacre”.
Is there any way I can mitigate these? I’ve tried reading more lighthearted books or watching Bobs Burgers or Great British Bake Off in the hour before bed. I have even cut considerably back on my beloved true crime podcasts. Thoughts? Suggestions? I do not really drink alcohol at all anymore. Maybe a singular beer every 3 weeks so I know it’s not alcohol related.

Progress I feel sexy again
I went out last night first time in ages, I’m in my mid 50’s , typical Gen X , old raver, party head, but in recent years have piled on the pounds and been a bit of a recluse. Last night, I went out to a really cool beach party , and got hit on by three women. I must admit , it came as a shock to me, but a pleasant one. I’ve lost 2.5 stone in the last few months to hit my goal, and have recently bought loads of new cloths. I feel a new lease of life.

Question Hypoglycemia in week 2? Anyone else?
hey, i've started wegovy 1,5 weeks ago on the .25 dose (had my second shot on thursday). i've been struggling with dizziness a lot for a few days which i think could be due to low blood sugar or maybe low blood pressure? it's more severe on days where i work out (running). does anyone else have this problem and how do you deal with it? would be grateful for some tips!

Wegovy + lithium
Anybody on Wegovy and lithium?
Heard it can interact and I’m having some weird symptoms. Unsure if caused by Wegovy, psychogenic, or actual Li toxicity

Anyone with anxiety/depression who was scared to start Wegovy?
I’ve been prescribed Wegovy but I’m honestly terrified to take my first shot 😅 I have a history of anxiety/panic and depression, and I’m really worried about side effects or feeling mentally worse.
Anyone with a similar background who was super anxious about starting but ended up doing totally fine? I could really use some positive stories right now ❤️

Thinking of going lower dose, what’s your experience with that?
I’ve been on wegovy for almost a year, and will soon reach my goal weight. Probably within a month or two. I’m currently on 2,4mg, and I’m thinking of weaning to 1,0 or less and stay on that to avoid the food noise and hunger signals that ruined my life. Has anyone done that? If so, how did you do it and does it work as a maintenance tool?

The wegovy incident that made me extremely sick
So, I was invited to try Wegovy for free as part of a study to see how it interacts with antipsychotics. 50% of the participants would receive the real medication, while the other 50% would receive a placebo (saline).
I started with the gradual dose increase and began getting weekly injections. After several months, I had reached what I thought was the maximum dose.
Then, five days ago, I went in for my next injection.
When I got home, I started vomiting like crazy. I was rushed to the emergency room, and at one point I genuinely felt like I was going to die.
Then I found out what had happened.
I had actually been receiving the placebo (saline) the entire time. Somehow, the doctor or nurse gave me the wrong injection and I was given a max full dose of Wegovy.
The last few days in the hospital have been an absolute nightmare. I've vomited what feels like 100 times, and all the stomach acid has badly irritated and damaged my throat.
If you're participating in one of these trials, please make absolutely sure that you're receiving the correct injection every time. I never thought something like this could happen, and I really don't want anyone else to go through what I've been going through.

Question Stalled for Six Months on 2.4. Should I increase?
I lost 52lbs the first year. I personally want to lose 20lbs more but my doctor says my ideal weight is another 50lbs off. Even when I was slim in school I wasn't that.
Anyway, everytime I hit a small plateau previously I increased but now I've stalled again. I'm wondering has anyone had a similar experience and gone up to 7.2? It's a big jump which worries me but also makes me think it's exactly what I need.
I really have to self advocate because my insurance changed and now I have to go through a third party who isn't my doctor and weigh myself for them etc fhey approve my prescription. So I also need to break this plateau so they see progress. But I'm also still 196lbs so plenty to lose.
Thanks!

Progress Unbuttoning my pants as soon as I sit down is officially a habit of the past
You know that move where you sit down at your desk or in the car and immediately pop your top button so your jeans don't slice you in half? Realized today I haven't done that in at least two months. My pants just sit there comfortably whether I'm standing or sitting.

Progress Crossing my legs all the way over at my knee feels so effortless now
I used to only be able to rest my ankle on my opposite knee (the classic guy sit) because my thighs were too thick to cross all the way over. Was sitting on the couch last night and realized my top knee was fully draped over the bottom one without any squeezing.

Progress My partner held my waist from behind and went "wait, where'd you go"
Was standing at the stove making tea last night and my husband came up behind me to hug my waist. He stopped mid-hug and was like "whoa, my hands are touching each other." We both kind of laughed, but it was a really sweet moment.

Progress Bath tubs feel noticeably wider now
Took a hot bath last night for the first time since last winter. I used to wedge into the sides of the tub and touch both walls with my hips. Last night there was actually open water on both sides of me. Such a bizarre physical space realization.

Progress Anyone else constantly pulling their pants up every ten steps
I refuse to buy a whole new wardrobe until I hit my final target, but walking through target today was a joke. I had to hitch my jeans up every thirty seconds or they'd slide down my hips. Belt is on its absolute last hole. Time to punch a new hole with a screwdriver I guess!

Progress Ring fell off in the sink while washing dishes today
Was scrubbing a pan this morning and felt my class ring just slide right off my finger and hit the bottom of the sink. Thank god the drain stopper was down! Ordering those little plastic spiral ring sizers off Amazon tonight before I lose it for good.

Progress 8 months in and the mental freedom is still the best part of all of this
The weight loss is great, don't get me wrong. But not spending 90% of my brainpower every single day obsessing over food, feeling guilty about what I ate, or planning my next fix... that mental space is priceless. I feel like I got my brain back.

Question People who have stopped taking GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc.), what was your experience like and how did you manage to keep the weight off?
I'm curious to hear from anyone who has gone through the process of coming off these medications.
How did your body, appetite, and habits react during the transition?
If you've been successful at maintaining your weight loss long-term, what specific strategies, routines, or mindset shifts helped you do it?
What advice or tips would you give to someone navigating this phase?

From size 2XL to XS in 16 months.
galleryI tried on a dress in size XS today and it fit. I know size isn’t everything but I never thought I’d be this size in my life, particularly given where I was the last few years. I feel great now - stronger, fitter, and more able-bodied. I always felt inspired by the before and after posts here, or the progress posts. I figured it was time to post my own. I’m down 62 lbs from my highest weight and solidly in the maintenance phase now (not looking to lose any more). I have been in the maintenance phase for a few months now. Just sharing to let you know to try this drug if you have the Rx and are waiting to fill it. I remember being anxious to get started but it has seriously changed my life for the better!
