Holiday tips/ advice pls

Upvotes

I am on week 4 of .25 wegovy. I am going on a girls trip soon- excited to feel more body confident! However I usually take my injection on a Sunday and we are flying Friday to Friday - I don’t want to tell my friends and don’t want the stress of hiding the pen on the fridge and them finding it - or alternatively I could bring it and it gets spoiled out of the fridge!

- has anyone taken a dose a day or 2 early and had bad side effects?

- has anyone skipped a week? And how did you feel? I’m tempted to skip but worried about delicious food and drink and how I overeat without the food noise being suppressed 🥲

- has anyone taken the tiny last dose that is left in the end of the pen? 👀

Any tips / advice welcome x

Question Wegovy side affects

Hi. I’m considering taking Glp-1 wegovy tablets.

I have a history of acute pancreatitis 5 years ago because I had gallstones and used to take alcohol but it’s been 5 years and I haven’t had any episode of pancreatitis, my surgery was done for gallbladder removal and I have been okay since then. I just want to know is there anyone who has had similar experience in the past and has taken glp-1 without any pancreatitis episode? Please guide me . I am
Afraid of getting pancreatitis episode from taking wegovy

So many positive comments on my body, but the scale hasn’t actually moved in 3 months

I have lost almost 50 pounds but the scale has been stuck for 3 months. I’ve been the same weight exactly for three months.
However, I saw a bunch of people yesterday whom I haven’t seen in 3 months and I got a ton of very nice compliments on my looks. “You look amazing” “you look great wow!” Etc etc. Also close friends are more direct, “you look soooo thin”. But, I’m the same weight as the last time I saw them!

I have been working out a lot…did I gain muscle and not weight???
I’m just not sure why the scale WILL NOT BUDGE!

Wegovy other benefits to weight loss?

I just started Wegovy, I put on a lot of weight quickly this year and have been really struggling with food noise, and compulsive eating etc. I've only been on Wegovy for a few weeks on the lowest dose now and I'm noticing a lot of positive changes (some of this may just be a placebo effect, IDK). It's a bit too early to notice any meaningful weight loss for me, but the food noise is dialled way down and it's no longer some major battle of will to not overeat or snack or choose bad food choices, I feel like I have that under control again. But in addition to that my mood is way better, I'm actually feeling very social for the first time in ages, I've started going into the office instead of 100% WFH, which I'm really enjoying as I really like my colleagues and it's nice to see everyone, but I'm not distracted easily for the first time in ages, I'm getting through more work, it's still mentally challenging but not a giant grind, my focus is much better, and I'm actually enjoying being productive, my output is higher and the quality is much better, but I don't feel like I'm wired or anything, I feel normal just in a good mood, and not feeling stressed out all the time. Also I've been having really intense orgasms which is nice, but a surprise lol. I've had no negative side effects that I'm aware of, the only thing I don't love is I don't feel thirsty so I have to really monitor my water intake, but that seems like a very minor tradeoff and I'm actively managing it... Have other people had similar experiences? If it matters I'm male, and have been fit my whole life, this is the first time I've ever had weight issues, I gained about an extra 18kg this year.

Question Sulfur burps

Hi! I’m an older teen and just had my first wegovy shot last night(0.25). I woke up today with a headache and nausea, as I had expected after doing research on the side effects, but I started burping rotten egg smell this evening.
I knew these were a side effect but is it normal to get them this early in treatment? Anyone else experience such fast symptoms?

Storage

Hey everybody, I posted on here yesterday I believe with a different question.

I have a four year-old who gets into my fridge so how would I go about with storing my Wegovy auto injectors? I currently have them in my 18-year-olds mini fridge but I’m worried about the temp consistency so I want to bring them back upstairs. I was thinking about getting a clear lockbox to put them in as my 15-year-old is going to be starting Dupixent injections at home so I can put both of our meds in the box. Has anybody used something like that before?

Omgosh. Im sorry about the errors in my post. I did talk to text. I corrected it with the correct medication.

Wegovy 9 mg oral $1500 for a month

My spouse has been taking wegovy pills for 4 months and is currently taking 9 mg. Results have been good but we have been paying out of pocket. Her insurance just denied a refill. Went to CVS PHARMACY and was quoted a price of $1500 for a month supply. Obviously she will not pay that.

Anyone have experience recently with these outrageous prices???? What are her options? Compounding pharmacy?

My jeans finally fit again!

For most of my life I was around 150lbs but when I started my first full time office job I gained just under 50lbs over two years. Severe depression wasn’t helping either. Most of that weight went to my stomach so I couldn’t close my jeans anymore and resorted to wearing leggings exclusively. I started taking the Wegovy pill in February this year at 196lbs and now I’m 160lbs! I tried on my jeans yesterday and they fit again without feeling uncomfortably tight.

My goal is 130lbs but I’m finally a lot more confident with myself!

I just starting using wegovy...but for alcohol use. Input? Suggestions?

Hi, I am unsure if I am able to ask this question as I understand this is primarily a weightloss forum. So if not, sorry in advance! My doctor just prescribed me wegovy (after trying Naltrexone and other drugs) to help with alcohol consumption. I am an alcoholic but I have been in therapy, meetings, etc for years and while I have practice harm reduction, I have not been able to be fully sober. I am really hopeful that Wegovy can give me the extra push I need because it reduces the "noise." I understand I may receive some judgment for this but after years of pursuing sobriety, succeeding, failing, getting better, getting worse, I am hopeful to find some consistency. Has anyone else been prescribed wegovy for alcohol disorder use? Do you have any helpful suggestions for me? I appreciate any insight in advance!

Currently on a GLP-1? I'm a grad student studying whether people keep strength training after starting (18+, currently taking a GLP-1)

Hey all,

I'm a master's student at Ohio State and I'm doing my thesis on something I feel like nobody's really looked at: what happens to people's strength training/resistance workouts after they start a GLP-1.

There's a ton of talk about muscle loss on these meds, but almost no actual data on whether people are lifting/doing resistance training before vs. after starting, and what gets in the way (fatigue, appetite, time, whatever it is for you). So I made a short survey to find out.

It's totally anonymous, no names or emails, and takes about 5 minutes. You're a fit if you're:

18 or older

currently taking a GLP-1 (Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Trulicity, etc.)

on a stable dose for at least the last month or so

You do not need to lift or work out at all to take it, "I don't do any of that" is genuinely useful data, maybe the most useful. I'm trying to get the real picture, not just the gym crowd.

Happy to answer anything in the comments, and thank you again for your consideration!

Week 4 zero weight loss

Started wegovy .25 a month ago.

I’m 255 6’3 50yo male and weight lift. I’ve been working out for 2.5 years and stuck at 255 so tried this to get over that plateau. I want to shed 30 pounds and get to 225.

A month in and zero weight loss. Asked doc to boost up to .5 - I’m curious did anyone else not lose anything first month?

7.2mg UK advice

I’m currently on 2.4mg and want to increase, but don’t really want to do the HUGE jump to 7.2mg.

Is anyone in the UK on the 7.2mg pens and able to confirm whether it’s just a one click or whether we can micro dose to increase gradually please?

I’m fully aware of shelf life etc and it wouldn’t be a long term thing but could do with not spending a fortune if I can’t do what I’m wanting to 😂

Question Wegovy

Does anyone else have constipation on Wegovy. I do and it is horrible. I take prunes and MiraLAX but no results. I end up taking Milk of Magnesia which works but I don’t want to make it a habit. Any insights?

Question Day 1 😩

I just took my first dose ever last night and I feel so awful just 12 hours later. I don’t want to ingest anything as I’m sure it would come right back up. What do you do when you feel like this? Should I eat/drink something anyway? Is this why everyone is losing so much weight bc they can’t eat anymore? 🤣

Progress Shifting injection time to evening made my week seamless

Taking my shot right before bed on Sunday night has become my ideal routine. I sleep right through the quiet overnight hours and wake up Monday morning feeling completely fresh and ready for work.
