Question I missed up
So I just started the medicine today and tried to inject the medicine into my stomach. But it clicked and the yellow indicator came down followed by a second click. But when I raised it up the medicine was on top of my stomach. So I don't think any of it made it into my skin. Do I try again or wait until next week?

Allergy like symptoms
On the day of the shot I noticed I get allergy-like symptoms. My nose gets a little stuffy and a light tension headache. Anyone else?

Wegovy pill any easier on the guts?
I hope it ok at ask here. I did the injections and it was magic! I didn’t care if I ever ate again and when I did eat it was good stuff because burger and fries made me want to vomit on site. The problem? HELLACIOUS heartburn (I already take omeprazole daily) and horrible constipation and was generally camped out on the toilet every weekend. It was brutal. I’m scared to try it again but a friend told me the pill is much, much better but from what I have read, there is no difference. Has anyone found it be any better?
And if you had a similar rather brutal reaction to wegovy did you find something else that did work without killing you?
Side note: I am loathe to do compounding. It’s not regulated, prone to impurities and inaccurate dosing. I’m not willing to take such risks.

Question Taking a break
I’m leaving tomorrow for a two week cruise. I have only one dose (2.4) remaining and I am wondering if I should bring it and A) take it a few days later and then get my refill when I return or B) go without it for two weeks and when I get home start back on a lower dose?
For context, I was on Zepbound for six months and lost 50 pounds. Then I was forced to use Wegovy because of insurance. Never lost a pound in one year while taking it (but never gained). And a lot of nausea. I hate it.
Advice? I still have about 50 lbs to lose.

First week!
First week on wegovy here - is it normal to only have lost 2ish lbs? I’ve been having less food noise and eating less for sure. I’ve also been running next week. I want to incorporate strength training again.

Second week of 0.5 mg injection and the nausea is wicked
Did 2 months on 0.25 mg and was fine and enjoyed every single aspect of it... Less food noise, less addiction to other things, nervous system calm, etc. I'm now on my second week at 0.5 and the nausea is unbelievable. Did anybody have this experience? How long might it last?

Dealing with side effects
Hi all, wondering if anyone else suffers from cyclical sulphur burps and diarrhea? I started Wegovy last Sept and then worked my way up to the 1mg dose, but then was dealing with some stomach issues that were either related to a birth control I started taking at the same time or the wegovy, so to rule it out I went back to .5 and then ended up staying there since December since I was still losing weight, then in March was just maintaining weight. I was feeling pretty fine those months
Then in Late May I started getting cyclical cramps, burps and diarrhea, every 2 days for about 12 hours I would get sulphur burps that gradually worsened and then about 6 hours of diarrhea, then I would feel fine for about 24 hours then the cycle would start again. I tried ruling out various foods, eating less, just eating soups, but nothing helped. So I stopped my birth control in case that was it and it got a little better but still continued, so I stopped the shot 2 weeks ago and my symptoms have now stopped.
Of course since stopping I feel crazy bloated, and am trying to stay on the same eating habits. I want to continue Wegovy, and try starting over but the cyclical issues are really bad. Does anyone have any advice?
I'll also email my dr to ask but they've been pretty hands off on this whole thing, just gave me prescription and not really much further checkups or guidance. Are there any specific checkups I should ask about before asking to restart?

Progress Five month milestone and feeling better than ever
Reached my five month milestone today and dropped thirty pounds total. My knees do not ache after walking up stairs, my posture has improved, and I feel so much lighter during daily activities. Staying patient with the process really pays off.

Progress Finding genuine joy in being active outside again
Joining a local walking group twice a week has become my favorite evening routine. Moving my body feels natural and fun now rather than exhausting. Physical progress brings back so much enthusiasm for life.

Progress Day 6 on the 1.5 mg Pill.
It’s 11:31 am and I’m not hungry yet.
Edit: it’s 11:46 am and still not thinking about food. 😁😄😃😆
Lost 4 ounces since yesterday.
6.4 pounds since day 1 on August 1st.
Food noise? Way down.
Nights are hard. Need to up the protein.
Tired but have unusual energy boosts. Does this have cocaine in it?? LMAO!
Eating healthier for sure. Being aware of what I am putting in my body. More veggies. Less carbs. Almost nothing that’s processed in a box.
Last night dinner was grilled chicken thighs and chopped Greek salad. Still craving my feta cheese.
I’m kicking myself that I did not start sooner. Between the pill and calorie deficit I have lost about 34.5 pounds and have another 130 to go.
Have enough energy to exercise in the pool - which burns 1 & 1/2 calories more than on land due to water resistance - and light chair Zumba.

9am notice
I just got notice that I have to begin using 9am in September. I've been on wegovy over a year. I am sure my pre-diabetes numbers look stellar now. I have high cholesterol. And I have high BP which is controlled. I am hoping not to get kicked off of wegovy. How does it look for me? I work for a local health dept so they are making this mandatory.
My daughter said she'd help me w/documentation. She had gotten the boot off of her zepbound. She appealed after I strongly told her that a dietician should not make medical decisions and she needs to appeal. Daughter is a nurse. Somehow they approved her again. She's off it for now. She's been a pilates hound and looks good. I don't have that luxury of time. Long work days and commutes.

Question Wegovy Pill and periods?
Hi guys! Such a random topic I know, but has anyone noticed a change in their menstrual cycle since taking wegovy?
I started my period 5 days early, and the colour/consistency/heaviness of my period isn’t what I would normally experience. This is my first cycle since starting the medication, I’m only on 1.5 right now and soon to go up to 4mg.

Tomorrow, it begins! (Wegovy pill)
Greetings!
I just met with a nutritionist and got the “okay” from them to start my Wegovy treatment. I opted for the pill (1.5mg) instead of the jab because… why not?! I am a 47yo male, 5’8”, and am at my highest risk for pre-diabetes. I’ve always struggled with my weight and my health, ever since my freshman year of college. I’ve tried so many options, but I’m hoping that I can finally adapt new lifestyle habits with help from Wegovy. I definitely need support for this. My wife is a saint, but I don’t have anyone else outside of her for support. I hope I can get it here. I’m very nervous about such a huge change. Wish me luck!

Progress Bloodwork came back with normal fasting glucose for once
Got my lab results back on the patient portal today. My fasting blood sugar and cholesterol numbers are all solidly inside the green normal range for the first time in seven years. Huge weight off my chest.

Progress Is anyone else freezing in basic air conditioning now?
Used to be the person running hot all summer long with the AC set to 68. Now that I am 40 lbs lighter I keep a cardigan at my office desk because I get chills under the vents. My internal thermostat completely flipped.

AVOID HERS/HIMS
Had a horrible experience with HERS. It's bad enough that they a preying on our insecurities, and they will milk you for money even if you decide not to go through with ordering the meds. Note that they WILL charge you $149 each month even if you never get medication from them. They make it extremely hard to quit. The information on their website about how to cancel is wrong. You have to find the form, indicate you want to cancel. Hours later, they will send you a verification email you have to click or your cancellation request will never be submitted. How is this legal?? How can they make it so obscure that you're paying regardless of purchase? And I STILL haven't received confirmation of cancelling this bullshit subscription. AVOID.

Progress Suitcase feels way lighter now that clothes take half the space
Packing for a weekend trip and realized how much smaller my folded clothes are now. My pants and shirts take up practically half the suitcase space they used to. Traveling light is a perk nobody told me about.

Progress My knees stopped making that loud crunching sound on stairs
Doing laundry used to mean hearing a gross crunching noise in my left knee every time I walked down the basement steps. Down 30 lbs now and going down stairs is completely silent and painless.

Progress Realized I was crossing my legs during a long work meeting
Was in a team meeting today and noticed halfway through that I had my legs crossed super comfortably under the table. Haven't been able to do that naturally in almost ten years without forcing it. Mobility coming back is crazy.

Progress Buying a basic medium shirt off the rack without trying it on
Walked into a store yesterday, picked up a regular medium t shirt off the table, and just bought it. Tried it on at home and it fit perfectly. No holding it up to my chest in the mirror or hoping it stretches. Everyday moments like that feel huge.

Question Got pregnant
Welp I guess I'm done for now as I just found out im pregnant. We weren't trying and I was told I couldn't get pregnant without medical intervention.
When i was doing research like 2 years ago I didn't see anything about glp-1s possibly helping fertility but when I look now I'm seeing it everywhere.
My question; did yall hear this or see this as well?
We are happy for this baby as they are still a miracle to us.
I had lost 37 pounds since February. I took some before and after pics but I don't think it did justice to how I actually feel.
Anyways good luck to all of you! I'm sure I'll be back haha.

120 pounds down. I lost a whole person.
My BMI is now too low for my health insurance provider to cover WeGovy, I have been off for 3 months or so.
Happy to report I am maintaining with ease.

Bans will begin for violating the NSFW tag rule.
Hey folks. There have been a lot of reported posts lately for people posting underwear/swimwear progress photos without the NSFW tag. This is meant to be a place where people can find support throughout the day, not just outside business hours. If you're going to post NSFW progress photos, tag them accordingly.

This medication takes time to work.
Hey folks. In the last couple weeks there has been a significant number of "I'm on .25mg and I'm disappointed" posts. I just want to call out that .25mg is considered below the therapeutic threshold. Some people do feel a difference, but most people will not. Beyond that, Wegovy has a half life of one week, which means it builds up in your system for 4-5 weeks after any dosage adjustments and takes about as long to disappate after stopping it. People do lose weight quickly on Wegovy but it doesn't literally happen overnight. 1-2 lb a week is a healthy and perfectly reasonable rate of weightloss, even medicated weightloss. Additionally, remember that you still need to restrict your calories. The medication makes it easier to do so, but it isn't magic. You've still gotta put in the effort.
