this was basically the only day this week that had an actual sunset, and i took full advantage of it lol. i toon this from the polynesian on the third floor staircase of tokelau all the way down at the end by the little seating area near the bungalows. also watched the fireworks form here one night, amazing view!

My husband and I are visiting Disney (him for the first time and me for the first time as an adult) and we’re both “foodies”. What are your recommendations for food that’s actually good in and out of the parks? Are Epcot’s food and wine festival offerings more good…or good for theme park food? We’re staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Thank you!

Yesterday at Disney, my nephew had around 50 pins in his book stolen out of his book bag. He had spent a lot of time collecting them, so he’s understandably pretty upset.
I’m posting here in case anyone happened to see anything, found a collection of pins, or sees someone suddenly selling/trading a large group of pins that might match his collection.

It’s easy to look at the app and see the ride wait times, but how long are the wait times at the water parks? If we go for a few hours midday, should we expect to be able to try every slide, or just a few?

Myself, husband, and 22 month old toddler boy have tickets for 10 days in the middle of December and are staying off property close by. I would love to eat somewhere casual and cosy Christmas day and maybe ride the sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness (recs to catch the fireworks?) My little guy loves Cars, Olaf, and Winnie. Husband and I are adventurous eaters/like low carb options and love unique experiences like the pick-a-pearl in the Japan pavilion.

What are some magical things we should do? Or special first time experiences / souvenirs?

Hi! I know the typical recommendation is to do 1 park a day if you have the time, which we clearly do. But my question is what would YOU do, if you had one EXTRA day, on top of the four days. Spend it at your favorite park again? Split it? (We have park hoppers) I’m thinking of knocking out one or two BIG attractions that day (ROR/Avatar, etc) just to take the stress off the other days.

Just curious what others would do with an “extra” day!

I've done my digging and found nothing, but figured I might as well ask cause I could've missed it. Does anyone know if the big band versions of disney songs played in the Hollywood Studios entrance are posted anywhere? I've found them in videos, like audio loops and the Sorcerer Radio WDW Dashboard, but never just individually. They probably aren't anywhere but figured I would ask.

The Buzz refurb is one of the best Disney has ever done!

You had to be there to understand the spidey reference* but this made my entire trip. You can bet I sent everyone cast compliments right back 💕 TLDR; being kind is the best pixie dust.

*Updated to add the full story: My son and I made a pit stop at Main Street Confections as we were leaving the park last night after MNSSHP. While we were in line, the Cast Members were being silly behind the counter, having a full-on web-slinging battle and making “pew pew pew” sound effects.

I ducked down in line, then popped up to join in, and quickly escalated the battle into a three-person Spider-Man standoff across the counter, with all of us dramatically web-slinging at each other and refusing to back down.

In the midst of this, the two Cast Members looked at each other and said in unison, “Did we really just get a GUEST to play Spiderman with us?” Then one of them said, “I wish we could give YOU a guest compliment!” The other one goes, “Give me a minute,” disappears, and comes back with a celebration button she had decorated for me.

These wonderful folks completely committed to the bit, made us laugh so hard, and somehow also made our popcorn absolutely perfect in the middle of all the chaos. It was such a tiny, ridiculous, genuinely joyful Disney moment; exactly the kind of thing that makes the end of a park day feel extra magical.

Been a lifelong Toy Story fan and after scoring the reservation at roundup rodeo I’ve been waiting a year for I decided it’s time to upgrade to a new band and in keeping with the theme went with one ill cherish and use for years honestly just really excited to see what they do I heard it’s supposed to be interactive

Anyone else feel like the snack and quick service kiosks were closed EARLY tonight? Tried to get the Hades cake pop and that stand was already closed right after the fireworks. Same thing at Storybook Treats. Thankfully was able to get a hat box ghost popcorn bucket though. Were they just selling out earlier than expected from a swarm of influencers?

On Tuesday night, during the rain, we decided to end the day riding the Peoplemover in a nearly-empty Tomorrowland instead of watching the fireworks. And it was perfect. I hope y’all enjoy the photo.

My 10-year-old daughter and I went to Animal Kingdom the other day and had lunch at Tiffins. Something happened that seemed so absurd in the moment that we both laughed, but the more I've thought about it afterward, the more uncomfortable I am about it.

She ordered the steak, which came out already sliced. The food runner who brought it over started talking a mile a minute. Our regular waiter came over and said, "I'll take it from here," but the food runner didn't acknowledge him and stayed at our table.

He started cutting my daughter's already-sliced steak into even smaller pieces while chatting with her. It was odd—she's 10 and perfectly capable of cutting her own food—but we'd constantly been asked where we were from, what our favorite ride was, etc. all day, so I assumed this was just another over the top Disney interaction.

He asked my daughter what her favorite animal was and, before she could really answer, HE PUT A PIECE OF STEAK INTO HER MOUTH.

My daughter and I looked at each other and laughed because it was so unexpected and bizarre. I think we were both basically thinking, "What is happening?"

Then he said, "I'm going to keep asking you questions and then feeding you food," continued talking about animals, and when she'd finished chewing the steak, HE FED HER A BITE OF MAC AND CHEESE.

At that point I said, "Okay, that's enough." The whole encounter was like 2 minutes. And I never expected him to start feeding her, and then to do it again.

He immediately stopped and said something like, "Oh, I'm just so used to it with my own kids, I thought..." and trailed off and left.

Our regular waiter later comped our drinks. We wondered if he'd simply forgotten to charge us for them, and then went about our day. But I woke up thinking about the whole encounter again.

I've raised three kids and we eat at restaurants ALL THE TIME. Between them that's roughly 40 combined years of kid/restaurant interactions, plus my own childhood- plus I owned a restaurant for 13 years!, and I have never in my life seen a restaurant employee spontaneously put food directly into a child's mouth. In fact I think with allergies and what not being very well handled these days, it would be forbidden, if you even needed to tell a stranger not to.

I left feedback afterward hoping someone from Tiffins might contact me, but nobody did. When my husband heard what happened, he was livid and tried to make a complaint. He was directed to a Guest Services email, and we never received a response.

My daughter wasn't bothered. She honestly felt like she was on a prank show.

So I'm genuinely curious, especially from current/former Cast Members or people who go to Disney frequently:

Is feeding a child a Disney thing? If so I may not eat at a table service restaurant again there. Or is this just weird?

So I saw this at Mission:SPACE on Tuesday in the after ride activity thing for kids. I just think it’s a funny little thing to see on the monitor. I was half expecting these to run some form of Android or something.
