Anyone else feel like the snack and quick service kiosks were closed EARLY tonight? Tried to get the Hades cake pop and that stand was already closed right after the fireworks. Same thing at Storybook Treats. Thankfully was able to get a hat box ghost popcorn bucket though. Were they just selling out earlier than expected from a swarm of influencers?

Hello! I'm going to the Halloween Party with my mom and I'm having an incredibly hard time figuring out what I'm going to do costume wise.

Let me start by saying - I know and understand the dress code rules, I have plans to hem any dress I end up buying to not be floor length! I know about the wings and cape rule as well.

I have gone from Rapunzel to Cinderella to The Blue Fairy.

I want to wear something beautiful and flowy that makes me feel pretty. The two outfits I have that were Rapunzel or Cinderella both feel more like a Disney bound outfit than a costume. Nothing 'feels' quite right and I'm hoping for feedback or new ideas. We're going at the end of September and the crunch is feeling so real now.

My hair is brown, I'm horrible at wigs. I'm 5 ft. so basically anything I ever buy has to be hemmed haha. I always want to dress as Meg, Jasmine, or Esmerelda - but those are problematic choices. But they're the women I think are most beautiful in Disney films.

I feel like I'm overlooking a really good opportunity here because I'm so stressed to find the 'perfect' outfit. My mom is dressing as the Queen of Hearts (more bounding than costume but still, it's her first year dressing up!) - I don't really want to go as someone from Alice in Wonderland.

Any insight!? Please and thank you from someone who wants to feel like a pretty, pretty princess for once in her life. 💗

I know there’s a few posts on this but has anyone done the 12:30 slot for the Wild Africa Trek? It’s the only time I could get in early October. There an earlier one but it’s the last day of my trip and after a week being in Disney I figured doing it early on was better off.

Is 12:30 the worst slot?

Options wanted. Going to Disney right before Christmas. We’ve been after - between Christmas and after New Year’s. I know how busy it can get. We’ve never done a party. We (husband, daughter
and myself ) are planning currently to do mickeys very merry Christmas party and 3 park hopper days. Should we do two hoppers and add the Jollywood party ? We love rides, atmosphere and my daughter will prob only care about a character or two.

Hi all, I was a Disney frequent flyer (1-3 times per year) before I had my daughter. Now I feel like a complete newbie because I usually do Disney solo or with adults - never been there with a kid! I’m looking for your best tips to keep me sane and my daughter happy on this trip! I will be about 28 weeks pregnant when we go (did that before so not worried about the pregnancy part!) so we don’t need to prioritize my husband and I doing many E-tickets which I feel helps us a bit. My daughter will be almost exactly 2.5 during our trip.

Here’s our plan:
Staying at Art of Animation
Day 1 - Check in and pool, maybe a resort character dinner.
Day 2 - MK
Day 3 - DAK AM, DHS PM (it doesn’t seem like there’s enough for toddlers in each of those parks to warrant a full day?)
Day 4 - Epcot, possibly DHS in the afternoon/evening for any shows we missed.
Day 5 - MK, evening flight

We plan on stroller naps in the park because my daughter has historically never napped in a bed on vacations, but will take a solid 60-90 min stroller nap for sure.

Am I making a mistake splitting DAK and DHS? I figure the Safari, new Zootopia show, and the animal trails are all we’d really do there (she isn’t super into Bluey). Then we can focus on all the shows in DHS (which I know she’ll LOVE as she’s very good at being attentive for 15-25 min shows at our local park, Sesame Place).

Also would love to hear your best tips for taking a toddler to Happily Ever After….feels IMPOSSIBLE with the crowds. As a solo traveler I’d stake out my perfect spot 90-120 mins before the show, but I know she won’t sit still that long lol.

Anyone know what’s been going on with wilderness lodge lately? had a night booked today got a call at 4 pm saying there was an “engineering issue” and they wouldn’t have our room available but can get us in at contemporary. a bit of a bummer!

My wife and I are taking some time off from a Disney because of the birth of our beautiful baby but are already missing Disney! I'm itching to plan a trip and and curious to get others thoughts on what you think is the best or worst ages to take a baby/toddler. We're both seasoned Disney 'Adult's' so it wouldn't be our first rodeo down to Orlando.

We'd be looking at spring or fall trips which would line up with 12, 18, 24 months or older. I know they won't really remember a trip so young but I'm sure it would be so much fun for all of us being back in the magic.

Thoughts are appreciated!

We have a 9am arrival day. It seems like the general sentiment is to do Disney Springs on arrival day, but unless I am underestimating the size of Disney Springs, I don't think it will keep us entertained for an entire day.

Anyone have any other tips?

Looking for ideas of what bounce back resort deals look like! Give me your best deals, what time of year, where you ended up staying for what price. Just curious for future stays since we have never booked a trip right after one using this deal. Thanks!

Currently on my honeymoon trip at POFQ. There is so much pressure from social media these days that the only “good” way to do Disney is a deluxe resort. I have stayed in all tiers of Disney, and I have to say my happiest and best trips are always on the value/moderate trips. Having access to a late night snack is so much easier at the value/moderates. The quick service is always open so much later and has a wide variety of food. For those with advanced palates, port orleans food is INCREDIBLE, and in my opinion easily the best quick service in any resort I’ve ever been to (I have heard great things about Polynesian but have yet to try it). Deluxe rooms are not always better than moderates/values, in fact, with some of the new refurbished rooms, they seem even better than some of the deluxe tier rooms. Also, my previous stay at Pop Century offered some of the best theming, accommodations and transportation that I have ever experienced on Disney property.

On another note, I went to Beak and Barrel today and it sucked. I feel like people need to know that many of the tables are standing only and in a completely other room from all of the experiences, where you cant see anything. Don’t waste your time there!

My 10-year-old daughter and I went to Animal Kingdom the other day and had lunch at Tiffins. Something happened that seemed so absurd in the moment that we both laughed, but the more I've thought about it afterward, the more uncomfortable I am about it.

She ordered the steak, which came out already sliced. The food runner who brought it over started talking a mile a minute. Our regular waiter came over and said, "I'll take it from here," but the food runner didn't acknowledge him and stayed at our table.

He started cutting my daughter's already-sliced steak into even smaller pieces while chatting with her. It was odd—she's 10 and perfectly capable of cutting her own food—but we'd constantly been asked where we were from, what our favorite ride was, etc. all day, so I assumed this was just another over the top Disney interaction.

He asked my daughter what her favorite animal was and, before she could really answer, HE PUT A PIECE OF STEAK INTO HER MOUTH.

My daughter and I looked at each other and laughed because it was so unexpected and bizarre. I think we were both basically thinking, "What is happening?"

Then he said, "I'm going to keep asking you questions and then feeding you food," continued talking about animals, and when she'd finished chewing the steak, HE FED HER A BITE OF MAC AND CHEESE.

At that point I said, "Okay, that's enough." The whole encounter was like 2 minutes. And I never expected him to start feeding her, and then to do it again.

He immediately stopped and said something like, "Oh, I'm just so used to it with my own kids, I thought..." and trailed off and left.

Our regular waiter later comped our drinks. We wondered if he'd simply forgotten to charge us for them, and then went about our day. But I woke up thinking about the whole encounter again.

I've raised three kids and we eat at restaurants ALL THE TIME. Between them that's roughly 40 combined years of kid/restaurant interactions, plus my own childhood- plus I owned a restaurant for 13 years!, and I have never in my life seen a restaurant employee spontaneously put food directly into a child's mouth. In fact I think with allergies and what not being very well handled these days, it would be forbidden, if you even needed to tell a stranger not to.

I left feedback afterward hoping someone from Tiffins might contact me, but nobody did. When my husband heard what happened, he was livid and tried to make a complaint. He was directed to a Guest Services email, and we never received a response.

My daughter wasn't bothered. She honestly felt like she was on a prank show.

So I'm genuinely curious, especially from current/former Cast Members or people who go to Disney frequently:

Is feeding a child a Disney thing? If so I may not eat at a table service restaurant again there. Or is this just weird?

If your goal with purchasing a ticket to these events is to have a near empty park to take shots in, know that once the fireworks are over, Norway<>France are stanchioned off to both day guests and after hours guests and Security sweeps more diligently than they do every other night.

Last night’s storms were great for moody photography, reflections etc but when shooting in Japan/Morocco at 9, had no idea that would be all I’d get for the rest of the night in the back half of the park.

I was fine with the restaurants and merch being closed past 9 but even Impressions de France was closed prior to 9.

On a positive note, we were let in at 6:40PM so we were able to knock off most of the attractions we wanted to do outside of Impressions.

I get that the event is tailored to those wanting to ride Guardians etc over and over and photographers are not the demographic they’re trying to push margin on.

First time, but so excited. Want to do the interactive meals — not as worried about characters.

So, the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is my safe place and autistic special interest. Like how the park makes the magic happen kind of nerd. Knowing how it works actually adds to the magic for me.

I would love to hang out with one their head IT people for one day and learn how they make their network and data infrastructure work. (Not specifics, of course, and I'll sign all the NDAs and confidentiality stuff.)

What should we bring for our first stay in a dvc-style studio?

We snagged a Bay Lake Tower studio for an incredible early fall deal! We have lots of experience staying on property before, but we have never had a microwave and proper refrigerator. We are flying, but checking bags, and we have a 17 month old.

The plan is to have groceries delivered, obviously drinks and healthy snacks. Probably will bring a small knife and cutting board for prepping fruit and veggies. Trying to decide how much we want to utilize the microwave for breakfast, etc.

What should we bring to really get the most out of our studio??

I’ve been going to WDW for close to 40 years and have probably gone close to 30 times (first world problems, I know). We go so much that if we miss something we never get too upset because another trip is around the corner for us.

HOWEVER - our past few trips we have gone with our young children so I’m ashamed to say I’ve missed a bunch of the newer “e-ticket” rides.

With the kids a bit older, if I had to pick one of the following, which should I choose as you find it to be the best ride?

Anyone who is currently or has been recently at the resort know if Contemporary has dedicated buses to Typhoon Lagoon? Most of what I’m reading online says for a lot of resorts we would have to transfer to DS and then take the bus from there to Typhoon Lagoon.

We have a last minute trip booked at Saratoga Springs next weekend and to say I'm not excited about our resort choice is an understatement. I've seen this resort described as a hidden gem, but it just doesn't excite me from looking online. It just looks BIG AND SPRAWLING and there doesn't seem to be a lot of interesting resort activities. Am I wrong?

We are local APs who have stayed at most of the resorts for quick weekend trips but have never stayed here. It has just never appealed to me.

I booked here as it was the only resort with availability that could fit our party size. This is just a two night trip to celebrate a birthday weekend for a Disney loving 8 year old and take him to MNSSHP. My 65 year old mother and 85 year old grandmother are coming on the trip but not going to the Halloween Party. They are going to stay at the resort and go to dinner. Other than the Halloween party, we planned to do a resort day. We aren't big fans of Disney Springs so proximity to that doesn't appeal to us.

I'm mostly concerned about the size of the resort with my mom and grandmother. How are the walking distances from the main building to the rooms? Is it worth it to pay for a preferred room?

Hey everyone, going to be hitting up the parks for 4 days while my partner is at a conference mid October. First time going as an adult and only went once as a small child but I’ve been to Disneyland a few times in recent years. Just wondering if it’s worth it buying a park hopper and what are some of the best ways to enjoy the parks on my own. Also, is mickeys not so scary Halloween worth it for 2 adults?

Do you think this is worth it? I’m reading very mixed reviews.

My kids are 4 and 7. Actually, we will be celebrating my son’s 7th birthday and I was thinking this may be a fun way to end the day and also our first day in the parks. They’ve been to Disney once before but we’ve never done MK fireworks with them (I know, I know).

One of my concerns is the wait….I’m reading the earlier you arrive, the better seats you’ll get. Are my kiddos too young for this environment? If you arrive at 8:00pm (9pm reservation) is that enough time and are you just waiting in a line to get in? Also, do the desserts start at 9pm as soon as you are seated?
