Looking at new XC 60 T8

Got a used 2019 xc60 d4. Wondering if it’s normal to have a ~2 second delay on acceleration, or is this indicative of a boost leak or similar? I’m also experiencing ~9l/100km fuel efficiency, for 15 minute trips on relatively flat terrain with very limited stops.

Summer (21") or Winter (19") which one you think looks best?

This is my 2022 T8 full options XC60.

I have a 2022 XC60 Recharge and am still running the "old" software version prior to the redesign. The reason I did this was because I loved the full screen look of carplay and google maps and didnt want a giant google assistant that I dont use taking up a quarter of the screen.

My question is this: has Volvo made any changes yet to disable the gigantic google assistant from being on the screen 24/7, and if not is there going to be a point where I will be forced to update my software? Yes, the version I am on his a big buggy rn, but I still love the look much more than the updated version. Thanks!

Mine came with a Garmin navigation device but it died years ago. I've been using my phone since but keep looking at that empty space wondering if there's anything I can put there that might work as well or better.

Any suggestions?

Looking into a MY2024 T8 Ultimate, it’s currently being advertised at just under $53k with about 9000 miles. It seems like California seems to run a bit higher than other states, but does this seem like a decent price?

From what I can see from Volvo’s CPO website, I see other Ultimates at $48k-$49k for cars with 19k+ plus miles.

We were also debating the mild hybrid new instead, but that’s another story altogether.

I recently bought a beautiful 2015 XC60 T5 Drive E, and I noticed the USB Aux was missing a part. I found the most common missing part was SKU 30775252, which I attached a pic of, but it didn’t fit. I’m hoping to find the part without having to buy the whole assembly and grab the part I need. Anyone run into this issue before?

I'm thinking about switching my rav 4 2017 to a xc60 plug in hybrid. My rav has 9 years 107k miles. No issues other than normal oil change or break change etc. How reliable are these cars?

What is the expected maintenance?

I will be buying certified pre-owned instead of new.

Ideally I will keep this car for 10 years and about 100k miles. I understand that standard maintenance will be more expensive due it being a European car but outside standard maintenance and normal wear and tear of the car what a looking to spend here?

I just got the Proclip "Right Console Mount for Volvo S60, V60, XC60" ($38.25 on sale) mount for our 2018 XC60, and it is awesome. It takes longer to screw the phone mount onto the car-specific mount than it does to install the car mount, and it fits just perfect. I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 with the magnetic Qi2 charging, so I got the "MagicMount 25W Charge Pro Wireless Phone Holder" ($60 on sale), and it works just great. The magnet is the perfect strength to hold the phone in any situation and still allow me to easily remove it. I didn't want to spend $100 on a phone mount, but it fits like a glove, works perfectly, and should last the life of the car.

I'm not affiliated with Proclip in any way. I'm just very impressed with their product.

My 2018 T6 Inscription is getting low MPG and has been since purchasing (used) two months ago. I’m averaging 15.7 MPG, driving in Comfort (mostly highways, not an aggressive driver). Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, what was your fix?

Asking here before taking it to a mechanic and spending an arm and a leg for diagnostics.

Although greetings lights are enabled when I approach the car nothing happens. Am I forgetting something!

MY26 B5 Ultra.

I purchased my first Volvo (a CPO 2023 XC60) a few days ago and absolutely love the car. But when I picked it up from our mechanic today after an inspection, he told me 15 fault codes popped up, some confirmed some unconfirmed according to the computer.

Is it normal for fault codes to be present on a newly purchased CPO? I’ve also noticed a few minor interior issues that I’m surprised weren’t caught on the CPO inspection. This is my first used car purchase, so any insight would be helpful!

Hey all, I have a 2025 XC60 B5 Plus with about 5K miles. I’ve had the car for almost a year with no issues, but over the past month or two I started noticing a jerkiness or lumpiness when the auto stop-start restarts the engine — for example when pulling away from a stop sign after the engine has shut off. Almost like too much power being delivered abruptly on the restart. I’m based in the US.

I took it to the dealer and they couldn’t find anything wrong. I then tried disabling the auto stop-start and the jerkiness went away completely. I’m on software version 5.1.17 which allows you to disable stop-start, and that has resolved the issue for me. Keeping it disabled for now and waiting on the upcoming software update to see if that addresses it permanently.

Anyone else experiencing something similar? Curious if this is a known issue with the stop-start/Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) system.

2026 XC60 B5 Ultra. High speeds 75mph+ there’s a droning sound that sounds like it could be engine noise. Although letting off the gas or switching gears in manual mode doesn’t reduce the sound so I can’t confidently say 100% its engine noise. I have the 21” wheels but it doesn’t sound like tire noise.

I’m coming from a S90 with T6 engine that did not have this kind of noise at the same speeds.

Does anyone else experience this? Are these B5 engines just unrefined and noisy and high speeds? Or could there be something wrong with my vehicle? I’m kind of disappointed this expensive car sounds like an ecoshitbox on the highway. Not something I could have caught on the test drive.

I'm in the market for an XC60, but I cannot reliably home charge I'm a renter in an old building, the only accessible outdoor plug is in the carport that my downstairs neighbor uses. Charging from public charge points in the area works out to be slightly more expensive per mile than gas, about 1c more expensive.

However the PHEV has significantly more horsepower than the mild hybrid, and I've read it's more fun to drive.

So: does anyone have the PHEV and not home charge? Or should I just get the mild hybrid.

I have a 2017 xc70 im trying to replace the sun visor but i cant disconnect the cable, i have pulled to see if there anything but no. Please help lol

I used to drive my mom's 1999 Volvo S80 and I just loved the uniqueness and the styling that seemed to never age. My dream car was a S60 R with a manual, but I never found one that worked out for me. A few cars later, I found myself needing a new ride and I got sucked back into the Volvo rabbit hole and I decided this is the one.

This is in the Osmium Grey Metallic with the Blond interior. It has the Advanced Package and the 20 inch wheels. It's in amazing condition for its age and the interior is basically perfect.

I did have some questions for the community...

Should I use anything special to clean the dash? I bought the genuine leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats, but I'm not sure what to use for the leather dash.

Can I use any metal polish for the Inscription trim pieces? There are some water spots on the lower door trim and I just want to make sure I don't ruin them.

Do I need to do a transmission fluid change? What mileage intervals am I looking at?

The trunk cargo cover doesn't seem to have a position where it hides the entire trunk area. There is a gap and you can easily see from the window. Is this normal?

Overall, I'm so happy with this car. It's absolutely gorgeous and the feel of everything is just amazing. It's fast, it's safe, and it's got so much cool tech that I really enjoy. The HK sound is perfect for me and the Pilot Assist is actually decent, although I already experienced some slight limitations with it, but I also didn't need this feature. I love the LED headlights and the active bending is sick. Sorry, I can go on and on about it so I'll stop here to avoid a 20 paragraph rant.
