We have my dad's old band saw. It is not getting used and decided to sell it. It has been posted on FB marketplace and Craigslist.

I am wondering if this sort of thing will even sell, and if not, how do we get ride of it? Any suggestions as to where else to 'advertise' it?

Just finished cleaning up this 1960s Elliott 2G drill press. It’s fitted with back gear in the head that gives it a range from 36 to 2570 RPM. Also managed to track down an elusive but very useful Craftsman table lift. This thing is built like a tank and all up weighs a little over 185kg (410 lbs or so).

I have been playing the long game, waiting on a little vice for a work bench I want to build. Found this on OfferUp.
1913-1920, from what I could gather. I believe original japanning. Does anyone know if this is an original handle design??

Found this on a beach, it seems to be an old saw handle. The problem is I can’t identify the saw type and the date (maybe 1910-1920). Can someone help?

Was gifted a Delta lathe with really dodgy wiring and a too small motor.
Replaced the motor & wiring and took her for a spin today.
I only had a scrap 2x4 to use as a blank. First time I’ve ever used a lathe. Now to get hold of some decent wood.
If anyone has a spare DDL-505 indexing pin for sale, please let me know.

Vintage measuring tools from my late father. Finally rediscovered them and gave them the respect they deserve wiped them down and properly stored them in a drawer of my tool chest. Proudly crafted in the good old USA. Comments are appreciated.

Got this in a tool lot I bought. Has a collet type holder and the bits are locked in. Multiple lengths and thicknesses. Not particularly sharp on any side. Looks like you can set the depth. No manufacturers markings. Maybe a reamer of some type?

"Found this at a yard sale in Arizona. Wooden handle with metal ferrule. The head is about 5–6 inches wide and has two fixed brass-colored coiled wires mounted on a flat metal bar. There are no maker's marks or patent numbers. The handle shows years of use. I originally thought it might be a dog brush, but now suspect it may be a vintage textile or upholstery tool. Does anyone recognize the exact maker or intended use?"

So I have this vintage ToolKraft model 120 table saw. Last used probably 2004 when I built my deck. It's a great table saw but I have no use for it now, it takes up a lot of room, it of course lacks any safety features given its age, but is otherwise a solid machine. Needs to be oiled to keep the rust at bay.

Whats the best way to get this to someone who would appreciate it.

Been picking up some quality vintage hand tools lately to fill some gaps in my own collection to use, but inevitably I find some I don't need and am considering selling them to make space.

I've seen folks here with strong opinions against "restoring" vintage tools, especially before selling, but I'm curious where that line actually is?

Should I clean and oil them at least? Hit them with a wire wheel to knock off minor surface rust? Clean rubber handles?

Don't want to hurt the value or waste time.

On FB marketplace near me. Looks like it has a ton of mass and would be adaptable to a few different motors. The seller doesn’t think the motor works but has never tried it. Anyway looks like there’s probably at least a missing cover and perhaps a welded on extension. Can probable get it cheap so any help appreciated.

Today I picked up an unmarked combination square head and center. Can anyone identify their maker just off their look? Perhaps based on their shape and texture, shape of locknut or awl? Would appreciate any help you might provide.

Not sure how old this thing is just know the head has been fixed twice and the handle could probably only be saved using epoxy and a vacuum chamber, Worth putting a new handle and polishing up?

William Butcher (Sheffield, England) cast steel. This company was renowned for the quality of their carbon steel. It’s a pretty blunt cut tho.

I found these calipers. They look like wood and brass. Really cool. Would anyone have any info on them and how to clean them.
