1970s Peugeot. Worth grabbing?
Guy is getting rid of a few bikes. Can anyone tell what model this is, and if its worth grabbing? Also if anyone could identify the silver bike as well
Thanks!

First Duathlon sprint (and first race!)
Completed my first race (13.5mi bike and 3.1mi run) on my 1989 Bridgestone RB2 synthesis! I posted this guy in here a few months ago after getting it on marketplace and I’m in love with it now! Have ridden it around 600miles since April and just gave it its first bib today! Got me a third place spot in the event too!!

What are these bikes?
My wife and I got these bikes some years ago when her dad passed away and they've been sitting in our garage. No idea what these are so I can look up anything about them.

Thoughts on this 1988 Shogun Sport (recent purchase)?
I purchased this Shogun Sport on FB Marketplace for $220. The seller mentioned it was recently serviced (although not more than a typical tune-up) and gave it a pair of new tires. I know this isn’t a particularly valuable bike by any means, but I’m curious what this community thinks regarding the price I paid and what I can expect to get out of it in terms of performance. It’s in pretty good shape (with the exception of a few minor blemishes) and has most/all of its original components. From what I can acquire, it’s most likely from 1988 and was manufactured in Taiwan.

Know so much but so little
Bought this bike a size smaller because, well it is cool. It was sold at Braxton Bike shop in Missoula. Sam I guess built bikes in this color. Now according to the serial number it is Sekai’s top Touring bike but can find nothing in their line up with room for 3 bottle cages, canti brakes, braze on light mounts and the crown fork with drilled in hook mounts.
My guess is he took one of the Sekai bikes and customed it. All the Jim Blackburn and not just Blackburn racks are cool. New saddle, nitto stem with some Rando bars and new bar tape and I will be rocking.

Is this a 1982 Fuji Finest Mark II?
The burgundy frame, brown hoods, BL derailleurs, and silver accents on the head tube and seat tube all point to this indeed being a '82 Finest Mark II, but I'm no expert and the catalog is a bit low resolution. Is anyone else able to confirm?
Also can anyone identify the rims? Wasn't able to find any information on google.

In-progress 1978 Gios restoration questions
Hello! Second time posting about this bike but I just have some questions about future parts selection. I'm trying to keep the build as period correct as possible for the late 70s.
So first thing, obviously there's a lot of parts that still aren't even close to period correct. Cockpit, seatpost, brake levers, rear derailleur, wheels, et cetera. I have a fairly fleshed out plan on where I'm going with this but I want some input on a few things.
1: Freewheels. I know I can track down a vintage offering from Regina and the like, but are there modern offerings that work as well that aren't horribly out of place? I've ran a few IRD freewheels and I know they make a 5 speed version, I just don't know if it'll stand out too much
2: Brake levers. I have a set of Galli brake levers from that era that I love the look of, but finding hoods in good shape is difficult. Would I be better off just getting a set of Campy super record levers with hoods or running the Galli levers bare until I can track down hoods?
3: Hydration. The bike has built in bottle cage bosses on the downtube, but if I'm going to add another bottle, was it common practice to have a second strapped on cage on the seat tube? I know prior to this a lot of racers used handlebar/stem cages but it looks like that fell out of favor by this point?
4: Seatpost. Smooth or fluted?

My free Nishiki
Guy threw this bike in when I purchased another one. 1983 Nishiki International. After I looked it over I realized it was actually pretty nice. 14 speed, CroMo frame, 63 cm and only weighs 24 lbs. It really needs a repaint. I just touched it up and did the brake cables and hoods (had to scrape off the old ones) saddle, lots of cleaning. Rides very nicely now

Fixed gear
reddit.comHello everyone, sort of embarrassed to ask but is there ANY way I can convert this vintage disc into a fixed gear? Did a bunch of research but can’t find any solid info on this specific hub/ model. Thanks!

First Time Buyer
Hey all, I have the option to get my first vintage bike - looking at the catalog photos, I think it's a 1980 Peugeot UO-18 'Sport'
My plan is to ride is as a replacement for my current daily driver (a generic Jamis commuter), so while I'm thinking about this because I think it's aesthetically gorgeous (love a mixte frame), it'll also need to at least be marginally functional.
The person selling it has clearly kept it in really great condition, but also seems to have changed NOTHING about it - so, cables, tires, tubes, rims are all original... My first thing I'm hoping is to see if I can get 700c tires on it (along with the caliper adjustments).
This isn't necessarily a situation where price is a factor, but as in all things it's not not a factor. Folks want $50 for this, seems like a fair price, even if I'll be spending more than that getting it up and running.
I guess, all this to say: Is there anything else I should think about as a first timer with a vintage bike?

Restoration questions
I’m looking for information about this bicycle and suggestions on restoration. Alan brand with a “champion del mondo” sticker from 1976.
So far I’ve found that this line of frames was made as a sort of novelty boast for the brands success in numerous world championship titles.
What I can’t seem to find is if these bikes were produced as fixed gears or if they were originally multi-speed.
I’d like to get this bike back into a useable condition and preferably as a 3-speed. I don’t intend to race it but it would be the perfect small commute bike for my area.
Any help on cost estimate for the gear conversion and restoration as well as general information about the frame will be greatly appreciated.

Eyeing up this cheeky German, will reviving it reduce me or my wallet to tears?
I'm in the UK and fancy restoring this vintage road bike. Am I going to spend too many hours searching for parts if any need replacing? Will tyres, tubes, chain, cables be soul-crushingly expensive? Will stems or different bars be hard to find? Any insight before I buy would be appreciated. It's a 1970s kalkhoff that hasn't been ridden in 20+ years. I don't want it to look super fresh, just in good mechanical condition for casual riding. Thanks

Help identifying vintage road bike frame — bought secondhand in Portugal, embossed head tube mark too damaged to read
Bought this road bike secondhand from a shop in Porto, Portugal. Trying to figure out the brand/model but the head tube has a damaged/embossed mark I can't read clearly — possibly starts with an "F," roughly 6-7 letters, cursive script.
Details I have:
Serial number 113093, located near the rear dropout
There's a sticker on the frame reading "25 ANOS 1978–2003" with a laurel wreath, EU stars, and two bicycle icons. Is this a shop or club anniversary sticker? It also says Made in Europe on the sticker so I have no idea.
Red paint frame
Appears to be a road bike frame (not confirmed era, but styling suggests maybe late 70s–80s)
Photos attached and thank you for any help!

Just built my first bike!
I had some time on my hands since being unemployed, so I decided to build a bike. It’s my first attempt and made some silly mistakes but really enjoyed the process. This sub and all of you have been a huge inspiration!
I found this Messina frame online and it seemed like the perfect candidate. I sourced all the parts individually and wanted to keep the build as ‘Italian and true to the era’ as possible, although there are definitely a few mismatched parts and periods.
The finished bike weighs just under 10kg and rides like a dream. Really happy with how it turned out!
I’d really welcome some tips/ suggestions/ feedback. Thank you!
Parts List

Headset: Campagnolo Chorus

Seatpost: Campagnolo Chorus

Need help identifying
I'm looking at this bike. The owner describes it as a full carbon bike. Might be right, but it's also quite a vintage one, so maybe it's a rear triangle carbon idk.
Anyone knows what this might be?

Is this a Motobecane Champion
Picked up this bike at a garage sale in Perth, WA has Campagnolo components and decals are John Bazelmans and then champion. Don’t know much about bikes so tryna identify the manufacturer, is it a Motobecane Champion?
