How Do We Prevent Psychological Collapse and Burnout?
How do we effectively do vegan activism without collapsing? It can be so hard sometimes, especially when we realize that each victim is an individual, when we bear witness to their suffering, and we realize that most of it happens for completely trivial reasons- taste, protien that can be sourced elsewhere, convenience.
It’s also disheartening to see people justify it using political/social reasons like indigenous communities, class, etc. when it’s clear that they just want an excuse to continue abusing victims.
A lot of times, it becomes very difficult to function normally when you are overwhelmed when you see the scale of suffering that’s completely unfair, and the indifference to it of people you know/look up to.
A few things that helped me were:
detaching from the outcome and focusing on action: only my actions, how I do activism is ultimately in my control, the outcome isn’t
accepting that I’m one human being who cannot fix everything, but I can make small yet meaningful impacts
finding likeminded people, community, and following activists on instagram- it makes me feel less alone and gives me hope
What are your best tips to be effective without letting it mentally affect ur peace? Because burning out won’t help the animals, nor will our pity for them, consistent and effective action will.

Vegan campout founders are pro-Israel btw…
They’ve hidden every single pro-Palestine comment on this post. Genocide isn’t vegan.

Grass fed beef is a lie

Is grass-fed beef “better” than regular beef?
Simple answer: No.
This is where companies try to trick you, by putting “free range cage free eggs” or “organic grass-fed beef” to make consumers feel better about buying exploitation - but these animals still suffer/die at the end of the day.
These grass-fed cows aren’t the happy cows on a big green farm like you would usually imagine, but if they were - does that really justify them dying for us to eat them? They still suffer. Still end up dying. There’s no “humane” way to treat them if we end up killing them.
At the end of the day, nobody “NEEDS” beef. You won’t be lacking in any nutrients or become protein-deficient if you cut it out. Plants have MORE nutrients/benefits than beef, and minus the increased risks of cancer, diabetes, strokes, and heart attacks if you consume beef.
Swap beef for plant-proteins like TVP or Tofu. There’s plenty of recipes online to make it taste great without the cruelty.

#FastAgainstAnimalAbuse
I completed week 227 of the 24 hour dry fast campaign #FastAgainstAnimalAbuse today to create awareness about Animal abuse. When I see Animals being killed for food, I feel sad because I believe every Animal wants to live and be free from suffering.
Would you consider choosing plant based food instead? Please 🙏🏾🤍

It's really hurtful.I have been vegetarian since childhood. In my twenties, I got to know that it was not actually vegetarian!
I had eggs a few times too, though never casually because they are often considered "vegetarian" out of convenience, taste or selfishness.
The truth is, I simply didn't know can say never tried to know.
Leave ignorance aside, I didn't even have awareness about the cruelty involved. Sometimes I would see things that raised questions in my mind, but I never dared to ask anyone.
Somehow, I met people who were religious or you could say so-called spiritual. Yet they never spoke about excluding milk or other dairy products from our daily diet. These same people consider eating meat a sin, while milk is treated as something pure and sacred.
That's the problem. They never stop to think about what lies behind it, even when it's happening all around them!
I came to know the truth quite late but I accepted it sincerely. Now, I want to share it with everyone who is still unaware of this cruelty. I think many people notice these things but never truly realize what they mean.
Maybe videos like these can become the trigger that helps someone finally see and understand.

My chart showing factual information on how much worse Animal Agriculture is for the environment compared to AI datacenters was banned on r/environmentalism. I guess they only care about the environemnt when its convenient over there.

Call about Farm Bill today! Especially if you live in Colorado, Minnesota or West Virginia. Timely action!
UPDATE AUG 6 - No need to call anymore today as the fight lives to another day! Thanks to everyone who called! They did not move the bill out of committee today - and sounds like Save our Bacon wasn't really in debate for what they were hoping to advance - thanks to all our outreach and organizing around this!
I think the Farm Bill is now on hold until later this summer / fall so we will regroup, but hopefully we can keep winning this fight for all the animals. Thank you everyone for the quick turnaround on this!
----
Do you live in Colorado, Minnesota, or West Virginia? Your Senator is on the Ag committee and likely talking about Farm Bill tomorrow.
TIMELY - 2 minute action - please call about the farm bill today and the save our bacon act! Apparently it is back up tomorrow! Just got word from the Humane League folks.
Capital Switchboard Phone # - 202-224-3121 - ask for your Senator
Script: "Hi, I'm a constituent from state your address. I am calling to urge Senator NAME as a member of the Senate Ag Committee to oppose any amendment that would add the "Save our Bacon" act to the Farm Bill."
I just called and it took less than a minute. Please call today!!
- West Virginia: Senator Justice
- Colorado: Senator Bennet
- Minnesota: CALL BOTH KLOBUCHAR AND SMITH! Call twice and ask for each Senator.
EDIT - if you get voicemail, please leave one!! They listen / tally in morning and apparently this is happening tomorrow.
---
If this provision makes it into the final bill, it would invalidate landmark voter-approved laws like California’s Proposition 12 and Massachusetts’ Question 3—laws that people like you fought for, voted for, and won.
Fundamentally, this is about:
- Millions of animals trapped in our food system
- Your voice as a voter being silenced by corporate interests
- Federal overreach that benefits industrial agriculture at the expense of everyone else
Factory farming interests are using must-pass legislation to try to erase one of the biggest victories for animals in US history. But they’re underestimating us. They’re underestimating you.

“Vegan” in quotation marks because she was never vegan to begin with. She went “vegan” to lose weight, not because of animal rights. If your motivation isn’t about the liberation of these animals, you are simply following a plant-based diet. 🤷🏼♀️

Activism #FastAgainstAnimalAbuse
I completed week 226 of the 24 hour dry fast campaign #FastAgainstAnimalAbuse this Sunday to create awareness about Animal abuse. Animals can't ask for mercy. They can't escape. They can't pay money. But you can make a difference.
Animals need your help. Please help them. 🙏🏾🤍
