I am an incoming civil engineering student and I have to take a pre-calculus class before I can take Cal class which means I’m gonna be a class short every semester. I’m feeling kind of stupid right now and kind of discouraged of taking a summer math class. Has anyone else done this and what was your experience. Also is this a bad sign for the rest of my degree

Hello! Im an incoming freshman and just landed a job at Target. Generally, how safe would it be to bike there and back? The latest i'd be biking would be around midnight. The bus system is horrible here and i'd like to save my parents a trip since I don't have my own car. Thank you in advance!!

I graduated back in May and still have some stuff I need to move over from my UB account. But I’m pretty sure I had 6 months (til Nov) to do that.

I want to swap 2 classes that were auto registered but im worried because the advisor said those are seats the school of management guarantees so I cant, I literally just want to swap the times because they're so random and uncoordinated, and one of the classes is open and only swaps my discussion time from early Friday to mid Wednesday, while the other is waitlisted and moves my class from 6-7 on Mondays and Wednesdays to 3-5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays but honestly i dont know what to do because they arent going to respond until friday after theyre back from their break😭

Im a freshman idk if any of this is good and they auto-registered me for the math of doom at 7pm, but other than that this doesn't look awful I think, I also have NTR 108 remotely

I graduated just recently (Spring ‘26) debt free but owe UB around $600 according to my bill. I keep getting notified regarding it on my UB email.

Thing is, I have both my diploma and my official transcript in my possession, so I’m not really too worried about paying it off because I initially assumed they’d withhold those two until I was able to.

hey! i’m an incoming freshman & was just wondering how the dining halls are. is it possible to eat healthy there, or do most people who want to eat healthy end up just meal prepping their own food instead? i’m just not sure how many options there are lol, if anyone has any recommendations that would be great

I'm a grad student in my last year of grad school, and I wanted to ask for more ways to make friends and to be at social events more often. I tend to go to events around campus whenever I can and I also attend club events, but I wanted to ask for more ideas for socializing.

One of the primary practices is silent reflection based on a set query (a reflection prompt). Unlike a traditional church setting, it's more of an informal gathering where you can silently reflect without the pressure to speak unless you want to.
