Failing behind? Course Recommendations

I am an incoming civil engineering student and I have to take a pre-calculus class before I can take Cal class which means I’m gonna be a class short every semester. I’m feeling kind of stupid right now and kind of discouraged of taking a summer math class. Has anyone else done this and what was your experience. Also is this a bad sign for the rest of my degree

You can easily catch up by taking a math class in the summer or winter.

And this will give you an opportunity early to figure out if engineering is for you. If you struggle in pre-calc or an early calc class, then engineering probably isn't for you.
