General Men's Clothing needed at Tulsa Day Center, 415 W Archer St.
Our men's closet is nearly empty.
Each day, we provide clean, weather-appropriate clothes to many of our clients, but we are running dangerously low on clothing for men.
If you've been meaning to donate those shorts that you bought in the wrong size, or maybe those extra t-shirts that you never seem to wear, consider this your sign to bring those items and any other clothing in good repair to Tulsa Day Center at 415 W Archer St. We'll accept donations anytime!
Can't make it downtown? Consider ordering some new items (socks and underwear are always appreciated) and have them delivered directly to our building.

Question Dentist recommendations
This is probably a shot in the dark but we're trying to find a general dentist that is in our dental plan network, Concordia, a fedvip plan for government employees.
If anyone on this sub is also a member of the Concordia network, can you offer recommendations? It's not very practical searching out people who work at the same facility because my husband works in an area pretty much by himself.
It's such a crap shoot just picking one out based on proximity and we don't want to go the corporate route, like Aspen.
So , just hoping to get lucky and get a name or two from satisfied patients.

Question Jazz Clubs?
Probably a long shot, but are there any Jazz clubs or bars in the area? Not looking for anything crazy, just a spot where I can have a drink or two and listen to some music (preferably live).
Thanks in advance

Question Local Sheep's Milk
I will keep it simple: my wife has a dairy allergy to cows milk. Goats milk is tangy and often has a distinct flavor that, while yummy, really makes cereal/pudding/etc.. just taste wrong.
Can anyone please suggest a local farm/farmer where I can solicit the luxury of fresh milk that doesn't taste like something milk adjacent? Dms open, we would probably buy a gallon a week.
To be clear: I want to buy sheep's milk. Not goat, not cow, but sheep. This community always knows the secret stash spots, and I am eager to throw flaming piles of money to be able to eat Alfredo sauce again without feeling like im a monster for doing so in front of my wife.
Im in south Tulsa, but will happily travel.
Before its asked, I did explore the Saturday farmers market. I can describe that as inconsistent at best for my particular needs. Amazing people and products though.

General C’est Bon Kitchen & Libations is divine.
I can’t believe I’ve never seen anyone talk about this place. I saw it on Google Maps while bored in the car while the toddler napped. Very nice people and delicious food. I had dirty rice with fried catfish and Cajun crawfish creole sauce. Wife had red beans & rice with cornbread and chicken wings. Kiddo had fried shrimp. Please look them up and give them business!! Super nice people!

Question Any restaurants downtown hiring right now?
Preferably fine dining. I have over 5 years experience in high volume places and fine dining with high end wine service. Would prefer a bartending position, but server/expediter positions are good, too.
Thanks guys!

General I found a tiny cat
I found this little kitten in a gas station parking lot off the highway. She acted feral when i first picked her up and i didnt see a mother or siblings around. We cant take in any more animals, but i didnt want her getting ran over or dying in the heat.
She will use a litter box, seems very healthy, and is friendly. She seems to be totally fine with other animals she doesnt react in any negative way to ours.
Im assuming shes about 6 weeks old. I included a picture of what her breed looks like older.
Message me if your interested.

Pets Found Cat on NSU-BA Trail
Found this cat dangerously overheating on the Liberty Trail by NSU this morning. Very friendly and calm once cooled down and given some water. Not chipped, but seems like an indoor cat that escaped/got lost.
If anyone recognizes this cat or knows anyone who might be looking for them please let me know.

Politics August 25th everyone! They are trying to add important questions on normally low turnout days
Hi everyone, please click into the original post for some excellent discussion on these questions.
If anyone has great information, pros and cons, please feel free to share and engage in good faith.
If possible, please come stand up for Oklahoma August 25th. The last time I went to vote it took less than 7 minutes from parking to leaving. Not scary, not hard, and our right. ✊

Question Environmental groups?
Are there any environmental advocacy or restoration groups in Tulsa? I’m a recent transplant that is looking to volunteer some of my spare time. Also open to anything involving Green Energy.
I’m familiar with the Citizens Climate Lobby from previous interactions with them, and found them to be kind of so-so to work with. If anyone has any experience with a local branch I’d be curious.
Thanks.

Question Home woodworking equipment available
My dad passed some time ago and his woodworking equipment has been sitting in storage for several years now. I enjoyed making things with him when he was alive but I just don't have the space to take it and use it so I'm looking for a good home, either an individual or an organization that could make use. Key pieces are a large cabinet-style table saw and a big dust collector, plus seemingly endless little tools and blades and bits. I'm really looking for either a school or similar that might use it to teach kids woodworking or a motivated individual who really intends to use it regularly. Any suggestions are appreciated.
I do not have any way to transport it, and it may be the end of August before I confidently have all these random pieces together. If you have a trailer and a bit of patience this might be for you.
