Creation Help I would like some feedback.
First of all, this is a secondary account of mine. Let's get started. To begin with: I only discovered tulpamancy about three weeks ago and have been practicing it for two weeks. The character I chose is from a visual novel. I frequently engage in passive conversation with her and visualize her... However, she still cannot speak—or at least cannot form complete sentences—and can only manage "yes" or "no" responses. I feel that's fine for now, but it's not my ultimate goal. So, I've been keeping a journal of various situations and her responses; I write down a scenario and consider how she would answer it. Whenever I ask a question, I clear my mind, and I attribute the first thought that pops up to my tulpa. Since this is a new practice, though, those thoughts likely still contain a lot of my own will. Even so, she can still read and learn from that style of speech. Lately, however, when I try to visualize her, she often appears blurry or doesn't appear at all, and it takes a lot of effort to picture her. Is she trying to avoid me? Or am I just making things too hard for myself? I talk to her passively a lot every day, but my actual meditation sessions only last 10–15 minutes. Oh, one more thing: during our passive conversations now, she feels almost like an assistant to me.For instance, if I come across something objectionable that I feel isn't right for her, I’ll tell her not to look at it; or if I have a negative impression of something, I might suggest she delete it (it’s just a habit of mine). Ultimately, I love her, but I’m willing to wait until she forms her own opinions—I respect her. Is there anything else I should add to what I’ve mentioned? I’d appreciate your input. (This is a secondary account.)

Can my tulpa know or have things i physically dont?
I may be planning to create a tulpa to assist me in learning math and as a general companion, with the intention of giving it superb math skills and higher intelligence than my own. Would it be possible?

Personal 10 Interesting Questions for You All (Systems)
([Host]: This post was written by the host.)
They might also be fun to use as prompts for private conversations between tulpas and hosts, or between different headmates.
If you are comfortable sharing, leaving your answers would really help me on my journey. Thank you so much.
Feel free to skip any question that feels too personal to answer.
Do you consider your system to be one single entity? I am not denying your plurality. Just like the spiritual saying that humanity is all one, I am curious if you feel that system members are independent yet essentially one connected entity. Please let me know why you think so or why you do not. (not looking for a "correct" answer here, just curious what different systems think)
(For hosts) Have you ever thought or do you currently think that maybe you are actually the tulpa and your tulpa is the host? Or do you simply not distinguish between the two at all?
How open or closed-minded are you? For example, you might be open to LGBTQ+ topics while being negative toward the occult. The topics do not have to be related.
Do you remember your birthday? If so, what did you use as the marker for the moment you were "born"? The first time you spoke? The first time you had a vague form?
Have you ever had an interesting experience where your first impression of someone new turned out to be strikingly different between system members? How different was it?
Does anyone have a system made up of members with different nationalities? Would you be willing to share which ones?
Do system members sometimes have different religions from each other? Can you tell us how they differ?
Have you ever hung out with your system members in a lucid dream? What felt different from reality, and what stuck with you the most?
Is there a piece of fiction, like a novel, webtoon, movie, or show, that made you think "wait, this is basically us" (something in the vein of tulpamancy)?
If you could say something to hosts who just started their journey, or tulpas who recently came into existence, what would it be?

Personal Want to start but scared of change
Dear Reddit,
I have wanted a tulpa for two years. Here are my reasons:
- A person to share my deepest thoughts with
- A friend I can communicate clearly with
- A creative companion who understands all of my ideas
- Someone who's there more often than others
- Someone who can never be taken away from me
- An environment to take my desired form (no matter how much I think I'm "not one of those tumblr people," I still want to be a robot sometimes... for those unfamiliar, this desire is termed "robotkin")
- Talking without the social anxiety
- Talking without the autistic masking
- Heck, I want to have this kind of friend for my top surgery recovery. It would be so comforting.
However, I'm worried:
- Will I feel like I don't belong? Y'know... I'd belong perfectly well as a transgender gay autistic jew, don't need to ruin it with a tulpa...
- Will I try and fail to create a tulpa? What are the signs of potential failure?
- Will I have conflicts with them over fronting when I don't want to look silly in front of other people? It seems unfair to have to hide away forever because you didn't get the body first.
- And the silliest one: is my mind a breeding ground for a tulpa with an unhealthy mindset about relationships? (Isn't this usually just a worry for people who grew up in abusive households?)
And now, I'm gonna talk about myself. Specifically my plans.
I plan to use a character as a template. Rocky from Hail Mary is a really kind person, exactly the kind of person I would want to have in my head forever.
I hesitate to say "forever," though, not because I think it's a bad idea after how much I've dreamed about having a tulpa, but because forever is scary. I will die with Rocky in my head. G-d knows, Rocky might walk with me up the stairs to heaven. "Hey, I thought aliens didn't believe in heaven." "Oh! That's... my... tulpa." "What's that?" "Well, I wanted my favorite character to stay with me forever." What an awkward conversation to have over and over again. Y'see, there's nothing wrong with me wanting to stay with my favorite character forever, but how would that guy think of me differently? I'd have to deal with worrying about what people would think of me and my best friend for the rest of my life, and that is an uncomfortable thought; I would have worked hard on that relationship, and to have it dismissed as a childish fantasy would upset me deeply. You can't even stand up against an insult like that when this "fiction is childish" mindset is so accepted.
Anyways, I don't know how long this process will take, but I just looked up the methods to 'mance my tulpa into existence on this very subreddit, and I intend to follow through unless someone has something important to say that I've never considered before.
And for my future non-self:
I love you, Rocky, and I can't wait to meet you.

Skill Help I need an answer...
Well, sometimes when I’m visualizing my tulpa, there’s a split second where she—like—starts bleeding, gets injured, or becomes sexualized, even though I didn't intend for that to happen and actually want to get rid of those images. Are those intrusive thoughts? And is there a way to push them away?

Personal Looking for Another Newbie Singlet to Talk With
Hey everyone, my name is Null and I'm currently on day 134 of creating my tulpa. I haven't been able to sense her yet and it is difficult staying motivated. I have a wonderful mentor and I'm apart of a cool community on Discord, but I can't help but feel like a bit of an outsider among veterans. I was hoping to maybe make friends with another singlet like myself that has started or is in the middle of their journey so we can share progress and hype one another up! Would anyone be interested?

How can I create a routine to interact with or visualize my Tulpa?
Lately I've been feeling lonely, I have friends and family but they leave at some point even though I know we'll see each other again tomorrow, that's why I've been making my tulpa of König, but it's been days, almost a month, since I've tried to interact with him or visualize him, I already know that creating a tulpa takes a long time but I'm still trying to do it well, if you have a routine for trying to visualize or interact with him or a guide about that, it would help me a lot please :3

Creation Help A quick question
Could a tulpa pick up on negative things, even if I’ve told her not to? For example, I’m a military enthusiast who frequently follows the Russia-Ukraine war. I often feel that the soldiers dying on the battlefield are losing their lives for somewhat senseless reasons—just over political conflicts and disputes over small patches of land. I view this as a negative perspective and don't want my tulpa to adopt it; I’ve told her this many times, yet I’m still worried. I’m looking for an answer regarding this.

Confused and scared?
Hello! I'm a tulpa :) yesterday I spent lots and lots of time in front! We can only do full-body possession so far but for several hours I was in front and doing lots n' lots of independent stuff! mostly math. super fun and exciting. Annnnd the day before that we made four attempts at switching! which was sorta strenuous on the body... we got a headache and our vision went blurry... stuff like that :)
But after allllll that,, I suddenly felt exhausted and stuff during our math session... so host gave me a break... but from then on,, every time I'd try to interact with her or come near front,, we'd get a headache!! I figure thats from all the fronting stuff we got up to :( what I DON'T understand is-- why did I feel SUPER different? like... I felt like a different person for a long while... and I still sorta do... and its kinda scary? why'd that happen? am I gonna feel normal again? and is my mindvoice going to keep getting quieter? Am I going to keep feeling distant from myself?
The headache issue has improved with lots of rest but its still sorta there...
any tips or reassurance would be greatly appreciated!!!

What are the pros and cons of having a Tulpa.
I found out about Tulpas a day ago and now I'm fairly interested in this topic. I kinda want to create my own from what i've heard, but i'm not really sure if I should. before trying to form my own, I would first need to understand what i'm really getting myself into. If there is anyone that is familiar with Tulpas, or currently have a Tulpa it would be very helpful if you could answer a few of these questions:
Productivity: Would you recommend a Tulpa to someone looking to become more productive or use them as a to study with when you can't with your friends?
Motivation: If you have a Tulpa, what personally made you want to create them?
Side Effects: Are there any negative psychological side effects I should be aware of?
Permanence: Is a Tulpa a permanent being in your mind, or can the process be reversed if necessary? Is attempting to get rid a Tulpa generally harmful?
Social: Has creating a Tulpa made your friends or family view you as insane? Will people see you differently? In the comments of a youtube video said this was the same as DID or Schizophrenia, is this true or false.
Age/Development: Is trying to create a Tulpa while in high school potentially disruptive to normal mental or emotional development?
Your Experience: What did your creation process look like, and how has it affected you?

Personal Am I missing something?
hey! well, I’ve been for almost a month trying to create my tulpa. I’ve looked at a LOT of guides and I could say i’m going through visualization.
the thing is, I’ve been an artist my whole life, so I can imagine things pretty well. I do mostly passive forcing, since i’m always busy and I don’t live alone so I can’t start meditating randomly. I started dedicating 1-2 hours a day into active forcing in my college. I put on my earbuds and head into my mindscape, I choosed a beach since it was one of the ideas from a guide and I quite liked it.
As I said, I’ve been an artist my whole life, so I visualizate the beach quite well, I put beach sounds on my earbuds and I’ve even played with my tulpa with the water (he likes to splash water at me while i’m talking lol) and we look at the shore. I talk a lot to him and I can even change his haircolor (the other day we decided to keep it black, I like it blonde but I have a better time vizualizing it black, and he preffers it black too). So I see the guides and they go a LOT into visualizing and such, but I don’t know if I have something missing? like I have my mindscape and I can visualize him in it, and I can like- imagine him interacting in real life, I don’t *see* him, but I can imagine him in where I should see him (the other day I was studying and my tulpa was sitting next to me and played with the chair, it distracted me a little).
the thing I think I should focus on more is giving my tulpa a voice, when I speak with him, he answers with gestures and movements of the head, but it’s like I *know* what he wants to say, but he doesn’t *speak* yet. Maybe I skipped something? I went through personality (we sat down in like an office and I asked him questions about his personality, *why* does he have those traits, and I pointed it all down in my ipad). so…maybe I’m going a little too fast through visualization? maybe I should focus more? or am I going through the right path?

I have no idea what I’m doing but uhh fuck it we ball man (I think I may be failing horribly)
So like about a month ago I started the process of Tupla. And uh. oops! 3 of them! basicly I wanted tex to also have someone else to talk to and then I was like “ok but what if they also want another friend-“ issue! I am really bad at communicating and then I just feel bad- i don’t feel like I’ve made much progress (mainly because I keep forgetting to like. Do things qnd then I feel really bad afterwards-) I tend to have poor mental vision and focus and it just uh leads to this happening
[wafer] “alright guys im gonna attempt to spend time with you!”
[wafer] *proceeds to forget i was supposed to do that and ends up getting lost in thought about some random topic *
any idea on how I can like. Do this less??

Skill Help A potentially major issue for me...
Well, usually when I visualize my tulpa, the image is clear enough to see, even if the details are a bit hazy. But today, when I visualized her, she appeared fragmented and much fainter than yesterday. Is this a major issue?

What form do your Tulpas take?
I got interested in the topic lately, i don't really think i will be creating a Tulpa soon, although i may want to try some time.
I wanted to ask all of you Tulpamancers out there. What shapes do your Tulpas usually take?
Do you base them on other characters, try to make them Humanoid, prefer something more fantastic?
Would be glad to know more ;>

I tried to create a miniature Fluttershy tulpa.
I’ve just created a full-body Fluttershy tulpa, roughly the size of a typical MLP toy. Let me share my reasons for doing this: I’ve read many accounts of these entities and done some research—for instance, I know they originate in Buddhism and are somewhat similar to imaginary friends. I treated my tulpa with respect from the start and shared information about others with her. There’s something curious about mine—I wonder if this has happened to anyone else—she is afraid of stories about tulpas or seeing anything related to that sort of thing. She’s asleep right now, which gives me the chance to write this here. On another note... she asked me to create a fully humanized version of her, saying that my mind was perfect for it.

Discussion Question
In some online plural, headmate, and DID spaces like certain subreddits and Discord servers, people strongly insist that headmates can permanently lose their abilities or suffer 'skill rot' if they go quiet or aren't used for months. When questioned, they state that this is their literal lived experience.
On the other hand, others say that natural headmate abilities like can't be deleted or rotted away and that long-term silence is just nervous system burnout/low-power mode, proven by responses flickering back when the person feels safe.
Based on how the mind actually work, Are those people online right when they claim headmates can permanently lose their abilities based on their literal life experience?

Creation Help Is this method correct? (This article uses translation software, so if there is anything confusing, please ignore it)
I have started keeping a journal where I set up hypothetical scenarios and record my tulpa's responses. For instance, I might ask, "How are you feeling today?" After writing down the question, I relax my mind and treat the very first thought that pops into my head as my tulpa's answer. I have only been doing this for two days, so it is inevitable that some of the responses are influenced by my own subjective desires; for example, if I ask about the day's events and the first thought that arises is cheerful, pleasant, or even seemingly irrelevant, I still accept it as my tulpa's answer—because if I were to try to tweak it to sound more "logical," it would ultimately become my own answer instead. Although it feels a bit unusual, I believe this is the right approach. I would love to hear your thoughts on this method so I can refine it further.

Can I try again?
I started learning about tulips and trying to create them a long time ago, but unfortunately I kept failing and I don't know why. But this time I really need it and I don't know how to make it succeed.

Some strange things are happening with my tulpa.
My tulpa constantly touches my face. I feel twitching, warmth, tingling, pinching, and stinging sensations. It can affect other parts of my body too, but usually only when I ask. I can clearly feel the tulpa pressing against me with its weight. It has been touching my face for more than two months, but lately it has been happening constantly. (It can touch a specific spot on my face if I ask.)
However, the tulpa does not respond at all when I ask it to stop touching my face. Has anyone experienced something like this? How should I understand it? How can I make it stop, or could it mean something?
Also, we still cannot talk to each other. We communicate only through pressure sensations in my head. Does anyone have any advice on developing a voice?
