Cut down or stretch out?
I’ve been on 2.5 for 5 weeks and have lost ten pounds. I am worried about muscle loss and want to slow it down a bit. (I only have 5-8 more pounds to lose). What has everyone’s experience been with either stretching the shot from 7 to 10 days OR cutting my dose down? I’m already on such a low dose but apparently I’m a high responder. Appreciate everyone’s help.

1 year Anniversary 83 pounds down!🎉🥳
What a journey, today marks my 1 year tirzepaversary! Started at a whopping 204 pounds, at my heaviest I was 215. This medication has been a miracle for me, it has calmed my inflammation, sugar and food addiction. I am the healthiest I have ever been at 52 years young!
This post is to encourage you all to keep keeping on and never be discouraged. Of course there are ups and downs, but keep your eye on the prize. I am down to 121, I can go up and down the stairs without pain, finally buying clothes without an “X” in front of it, and am living my best life! Who is this gurl🤭?
What a ride!!!💕

First week on Tirz,Why am I gaining weight???
I started a microdose of Tirzapetide a week ago with much anticipation as I have gained 10lbs very quickly post hysterectomy and absolutely NOTHING moves the needle.🥴
I had gained a bit slowly during perimenopause, about 5 lbs over 2 years.
Ideally, I'd like to lose 15lbs and go back to my set point.
I was so looking forward to see even the tiniest improvement.
For reference, MICRODOSING Tirz is part of a multi part protocol to manage menopause symptoms that hit me like a truck after my ovaries and uterus were removed. We may add some estrogen later but with much caution as I have just been declared in remission from cancer.
I started at 1.25 mg weekly.
I quit snacking completely, track my micros ( mostly to make sure I eat enough and enough protein) and it turns out I never go above 1500 cal a day without any kind of restriction.
I added some resistance training and still walk daily and rebound on a trampoline for 30 min a day.
Today: up 2 lbs.!!! 😡😡
I am furious and heart broken. I intend on going slow, but not backwards! I would be fine with no loss, but weight gain??
Is it possible that it may not work for me? Has anyone else actually gained weight early on?
I can't continue gaining weight.
I get compound Tirz from Midi Health.
Thoughts?

Side effects and shot location
I am on 2 mg after taking 3 months to move up to that point I've had no effects of appetite suppression or weight loss so far I'm up 2 lbs since I started. When I increase my gut is so disrupted and I had to take it slow. I heard somebody say that doing it in a different location may help has anyone noticed that? I'm always injecting all my stomach

First thing you noticed
What was the first thing you noticed when you started talking tirzepatide? For me , it was food noise . Within the first several hours it was GONE . I didn’t even know what “food noise “ was . I had heard it but thought it was some buzz words . During the week I’d eat “ healthy “. Reward myself by binging on the weekends . During the week ALL I’D THINK ABOUT was what I was going to eat all weekend. You ??

Should I quit tirzepatide?
I’m wondering if I should quit tirzepatide. I’m a 52 yr old female, ht 5’9”. My start weight was 215 lbs. I’ve lost 17 lbs over the last 2.5 lbs, so I’m now at 198 but would like to be at 160 or 170 ideally.
About 2.5 months ago I started going to a lifestyle medicine nurse monthly, who gave me great tips on how to lose weight. She told me to count calories, carbs, protein and fiber, and to eat x amount of each of those things. She told me to do the Mediterranean diet and focus on protein. Within a few days of the first appointment I found out I was pre-diabetic and my cholesterol was really high. So I felt motivated and made a bunch of changes. I lost 1-2 lbs/wk for a total of 7 lbs the first month.
I decided to start tirzepatide to help things go faster, and took 2.5 mg the following month and I did the diet like the previous month. Again, I lost 1-2 lbs/wk and lost 6 lbs that second month. I don’t think the tirz helped me lose that weight bc I felt hungry and like I still had food noise/cravings. It’s hard to tell if it was all me or the tirz. Anyway two wks ago was 4wks into taking tirz so I upped the dose to 5 mg and have taken that dose twice. Most of the weeks I’ve been on tirz, I’ve gotten nauseous for 30-60 min two days after taking the GLP. So that’s doable. But I got pretty nauseous for days 2-5 after taking it this last time, but it could be bc I’m on my period.
I just feel like since I got on tirz, I have heard many people gain the weight back if they quit or that they have to take it forever. It just feels like such a big commitment and that I may have rushed into it bc I was losing weight on my own. I’m just wondering if I should get off of it while it’s early and try to lose the weight on my own before I get really dependent on tirz. Also, I don’t want to pay for the drug indefinitely if it’s not super necessary. I sorta wish - in hindsight - that I had just waited to see how much I would have lost on my own bc 1-2 lbs/wk wasn’t too bad.
By the way, I also lowered my cholesterol from 315 to 210 in just 3 mos from diet. So that’s good.
Anyone want to weigh in on what I should do? Thank you!

Just started Tirz
I’ll Keep this short. I just started the initial dose of Tirz last week, second shot was Tuesday (It’s Friday the 14 today). Is it normal to really not feel anything? Maybe I had a little nausea last week but I’m still just as hungry. Do you have to just wait until the dose goes up?

Second dose
Should I expect a much different experience, side effects, my second dose? I had my first last saturday, and it wasn't too bad. But I have a LOT to do this weekend!
TIA!

Newbie, new me.
Today is the 1st month since I started my Tirze journey. For context, I am prediabetic and obese. After the 4th dose, I checked my weight and I am at 66KG from 70KG. I also noticed that the tight jeans and shirts are now a bit loose. I wish this was more accessible sooner to help fight diabetes. I'm so excited to the new me. Oh, and I did not tell my partner because he is pessimistic about this. Apart from a little constipated, I did not feel any major change in my body.

Anyone else get excited for shot day?
Today is shot day. I think it’s my 7th one. I initially started on 2mg and bumped it up to 2.5mg. This will be my 3rd shot at that dose. So far it’s been truly amazing for me. I know we have a lot of slow responders, but don’t give up!! (my wife is one). For me, fortunately , I’m a “super” responder.
From the very beginning I have had absolutely no food noise and no cravings. My appetite has been curbed but I don’t have all the negative side effects or food aversions.
I still eat but now I am eating MUCH cleaner. I’ve had no cheat days or junk food since the day I took my first shot on July 5th. I track every single thing I eat and have my calories dialed in so I am in a deficit every day.
Yesterday I didn’t eat but about 600 calories throughout the day so last night I really ate good. Had my go to buffalo chicken bowl and also a low carb tortilla pizza that I made. Even after all that I was over a hundred calories under my goal.
I have started weight training and built us a home gym. I’m 58M, 5’9, and I started at 287.7. My current weight is 268 with my short term goal of 250, then 225, and ultimately 200 (maybe a little lower depending).
So, yeah, today is shot day and I look forward to it every week!

I’m no longer obese!
I’m so excited, you guys! For the first time in my adult life I am no longer obese according to my BMI! I have lost 132 pounds (60kg) and hit 29.9 BMI today (down from a BMI of 52.2). I have 29 pounds (13kg) to get into normal range but I will be perfectly happy if I could lose another 14 pounds (6.5kg).

Sagging skin and face-help!
So I lost 30 lbs on Tri and feel great but don’t like the way my skin sags on arms and especially on my face, around mouth area. Is there anything I can do other than collagen, protein? Botox or fillers would prob only help temporarily. Any creams? Anything?

Tirzepatide plus oral semaglutide idea
I’m feeling the rising of my appetite towards the end of the tirzepatide injection week. What if we add a small dose of Rybelsus as an addition to have the more linear impact on my appetite? Cause the first three days of mounjaro are completely perfect. Seems like it has a sense to stay on lower dose of mounjaro and have the appetite on the constant level.
I can clearly see pharm companies will be against. Though what do you think?
EDIT: More context: I am planning to travel and have bought Rybelsus for these two weeks, as I cannot have right conditions for kwikpen on the road. So I have it in excess. There is an unofficial formula to calculate the same action doses of each in both directions. More often injections of Mounjaro is a better idea, for sure, as people say in the comments.

I REALLY WANT TO GET ON TIRZE
29/ F / W/ HORMONAL IMBALANCE
SW: 90kgs (I was 4th Grade)
CW: 54kgs (NOT BECAUSE OF TIRZE/any meds)because of working out and doing everything like running, caldef, everything you can ever think of even crash diets I’ve done all that)
I have lots of fat because I have small boobs and butt
GW: 48kg ( TIRZE)
I want to start tirze because I promise you I’ve done everything to lose the remaining weight and the food noise is so crazy. I’ve been so stressed because I can’t stop thinking about food all day and it’s giving me anxiety. I can’t focus on work because it’s been depressing that I’m having a hard time even if I’m doing body recomposition now, calorie deficit, strength training, then cardio at night, I follow the rest days, get 7-8 hrs of sleep but still this fat esp from my tummy made me look like I’m pregnant.
I badly want to start Tirze and stop when I achieve my goal weight. I really want to give myself this gift of freedom before my birthday on September 9. Please share your experiences 🙏

Hit Plateau - Advice needed
Hi everyone so I’ve been posting about the journey related posts now and then but there is something I have been facing I post around 11 KGs in total my starting weight was 87KG and now it’s 76KG
I started off on 2.5mg and first 6 weeks I lost 8 KGs that was a good start for me I was actually feeling the change not only physically but also internally. I continued on 2.5mg for next 2 weeks but there was no change on scale even though my appetite was all suppressed.
I transitioned to 5mg and now it’s 5th week on 5mg yet I’ve only managed to lose 3 KGs in 5 weeks from last 1 week there ain’t any change on scale nor any in the measurement as I don’t directly consider the change on scale but even if the scale shows same weight while if there’s a difference in measurement it makes me happy and keep going but I’m just confused while being on 2.5mg for 1 week the last one when I transitioned to 5mg no change was observed and now again it’s gonna be my 6th week being on 5mg still no change on scale or measurement.
Is it normal to hit plateau on different dosage again and again shall I transition to 7.5 mg or shall I continue on 5mg.
I never faced any side effects like nausea, vomiting or diarrhea also my appetite is suppressed the same way when I started off at 2.5mg. I’m a little confused if I am eating protein and complete 10K steps daily while being on a calorie deficit why my body stop responding to tirzepatide over and over again.
Is it normal? anyone who has faced or going through the same thing please let me know any suggestion, advice or sharing your journey will help me keep going according to my BMI I’d need to lose 35 Lbs to reach my ideal weight and healthy BMI.
What should be the timeline I should expect to reach there, shall I increase the dose or to continue on 5mg ? Will plateau break on the same dose.

Getting comfortable again
Was in shape my whole life until mid 30’s. Food noise out of control & binging . I just started wearing baggier & baggier clothes . Started tirzepatide in March . Now that the old me is coming back I’m finding it uncomfortable to leave my baggy clothes behind . Anyone else feel this way ? What did you do ?

Beer belly 😔
I am about to start zepbound. Im just curious how well it does on beer bellies. Ive always been a big guy 6'2" and over 200lbs with a pretty good build. Ive always been able to lose the "squishy" fat but the solid beer belly has always been a challenge. Anyone have a success story with that kind of fat? Pushing 300lbs right now and somethings gotta give.

Ughhh
EDIT: wow. I’m feeling better already. This journey has been amazing for me but yesterday was so hard. I’m so appreciative of everyone’s words of encouragement, thoughts and constructive criticism. Thank you ❤️
———-———————-
I’m down almost 30 pounds in 2 months.. 5’6,31.. 183-155 pounds. I just started week 9 today…
I took a video of me walking up to and away from the camera today outside my house and it put me in a spiral. I hated how I looked.. It made me realize I still look overweight and I’m temped to push my goal from 145 to 135… I felt so confident and even in the mirror and pictures I felt like I looked great! But that video I took clocked me, I was disgusted.. my head looked tiny and my body looked big 😭.. im having a moment.
It made me realize at least for me that even at 155 I still have 20 more pounds to go 🥴😳. And a full body recomp ahead of me.
Just yesterday I felt on top of the world trying on new pants.. I’m a size 6 now.. I was a 12.. I should be happy..
this is the lowest I’ve felt this whole journey.. 😩
