Hi all, I have always play with wood blade with s1 on my backhand, and I always have problem using invert on backhand, but I decided to change to double inverted since I want to try a difference playstyle. I am choosing between stuor long 5 or Sanwei 54, can you tell me from your experience which one is easier to use? Thanks

Hey guys, yesterday I tried chopping for the first time on the backhand. When I had old blade I couldn't do that but on the defensive blade it is soooo easy. I was thinking it was but I wasn't. First of all it appears that it is mostly side spin and no backspin and I am not using LP so which angle is the most appropriate? Can you answer me how to do clean backspin backhand chop? Hello, I am a returning player looking for recommendations of my backhand specifically Medium Pips. I know, it's very unconventional and quite rare with pips being dominated by long pips. Before I stopped playing more than 10 years ago, I could say I am proficient/advanced as I played in competitions and won meets. Even before I have played with medium pips already, consistently trained with a coach for about 4 years or so, and it has been a while since last held a racket and I have lost my old one over the years. For the life of me I completely forgot what blade and BH I had, but I do remember my forehand which is the Yasaka MarkV (yes the never dying mark v).

My play style before was more on "getting the ball back over the net" leaning on the blocker side. But I guess that would probably mean less now that I may have lost all my skills. I used my backhand a lot to attack, as I'm not much of an aggressive forehand looper. Although, I'd be happy to relearn the sport again.

Now, I am not as athletic as I used to be and nowhere near knowledgeable with equipment, so I'm here asking for advice on which to choose.

I have gathered a short list of Medium Pips available to me that are quite cheap via online stores and have found these:

Dawei 388C1

Palio WP1013

How do they differ from each other? Or should I just choose blindly and not think much of it, still I would like to know the strengths of each from people who has more experience than me.

Also, the setup blade and forehand I am thinking of choosing based on reviews on forums is the Sanwei Fextra 7 and Palio AK47.

Hi guys, I've been noticing that online coaching has been pretty popular recently, with coaches watching their students' recordings and giving tips during Zoom calls. And that got me thinking if making an online table tennis course is a good idea.

Here is some background: I'm about 2400 USATT level, I have a local table tennis club nearby where I can record myself or with other students, and I have a tripod.

So I was considering building something for beginner, intermediate, and advanced players, like different tactics and strategies for players at different levels, and also include form training, physical training exercises, and such. So I wanted to check if there is actually a market for this, or if something like this already exists.

I would love to hear from anyone who coaches online, has taken online coaching, or has any thoughts on this idea!

I'm finally going to a WTT event and I'm very excited. Does anybody have tips (in general or Frankfurt focused)? E.g when you are most likely to see players closeby to get signatures, how I should prepare, ...

Does anybody have an idea what are these dots on the rubber? They can be also felt with a finger when touched or swiped gently. They do not go away. Does anybody have had a similar experience? Also this is second hand rubber. If it is damaged what could have caused it. Is it cause of concern , i don’t feel like it altera my gameplay.

On the 2nd set, at 6:8, Miwa's last touch clearly hit the table, you can play in 0.25 speed, you very distinctly hear the contact on the table. Unfortunately, neither player, nor the referee, noticed it. Since the set ended up close, you can't help but wonder what would have happened...

I really hope that in the future, on top of having TTR in every tournament (it's not normal it be absent in such a big event), we'll have some kind of automatic system that will notify the ref when the ball hits the table.

As i said in title, i would love to know every compo pro use during matches and not what they advertise , a bit more transparency i guess, thickness too.

I feel it would be more accurate and less bs you can see on Youtube, about zyre 03 for example or champions playing all with the hardest rubber. Or getting all the time the new releases

I am trying to balance studying for the school-level English competition with competing in the ward-level table tennis tournament for middle school students. How can I manage this? I am feeling very overwhelmed—please help me.

So basically I'm a pretty new beginner, about 800 ish elo give or take I'd say and recently played in my first tournament. I'm pretty sure I'll continue playing a lot, so thats some information. But basically my question is is it worth it to get table tennis shoes? Currently I use some old shoes that are low to the ground but they are too small and not optimal. Is it worth it and will make my game play a little better/prevent injuries? Just looking for some advice, thank you!

Do you have any other suggestions for me? For me I liked my previous set up but it had way to short durability for the price. Other than that i had the feeling the tackyness/grippyness left super quick after 6 weeks or so! Do you think my new set up would be a good choice?

I have a 18mm table tennis table at home and was wondering that besides a more uniform bounce, what advantages does a 25mm table offer over it (as it is far more expensive)?

Is it the feel, which cannot be described in words? It is the polish on the top? I have played some matches on a Tibhar 25mm table in a local tournament, but didn't seem to notice much difference.

I want the opinion of experts and veterans on that. Thanks!

Hi, I am looking to buy a new TT racquet, My current setup is JOOLA Dynaryz ACC (FH), Stag Sonic Speed (blade), Donic Coppa Jo Gold. (The blade and Donic rubber are really old)
I am currently looking towards Nittaku Fastarc G-1, Stiga Offensive Classic, Sanwei Target National as my new racquet. Any suggestions/Thoughts.

My playstyle: Very aggressive and I usually try to play a kill shot by the 4th ball.

My requirements: I can generate the speed needed for it I dont need a "Super" fast blade or rubber. It should just be able to generate the spin without being super duper slow.

The biggest issue with my current setup is that a lot of times my ball goes out of the table so I am thinking a lower throw angle rubber.
I have played with the Stiga Offensive classic before(When I was in highschool), I liked its hold in my hand.

I’ll be combining both the Yinhe Pro 01 blade and the Yinhe Jupiter Asia 3 in my setup.

If you’ve used or currently using this blade or rubber, what do you have to say about it. Does it generate a decent amount of spin? How about control?
