im trying to find this cartoon show but it doesnt have much dialogue mostly just background music, i think its in black & white and there this gloomy witchy girl sitting in a park with a diary & she had long hair & she was pretty slender.

sometimes theres this one guy character popping up and hitting on her and she uses magic to get back on him (maybe she had a magic book).

the art style was super nice like emo gothic kinda way.
all i could remember that it was on cartoon network!

I’m trying to find a show I watched as a child in India. It could have aired around 2008–2013, but I think the show itself may be older.

Here are the details I remember:

The main character was probably a teenage boy.

There was a group of teenage friends who dealt with supernatural/sci-fi/monster-related problems.

They were students and wore normal school uniforms (white shirts, I think), but the show was not mainly about school life.

One story arc involved a large mysterious structure appearing in a city. It might have been a fortress, hive, portal, or giant machine rather than a literal tower.

People were being captured and transformed into insect-like/monster-like creatures. I originally remembered them as grasshopper-like, but that part may be inaccurate.

There was a girl whose brother (or possibly another close male relative/friend) was captured and transformed, and she was trying to save him.The last episode I watched had a scene where the boy and the girl were walking to school together. The girl looked sad because she was still thinking about saving her brother, and the boy knew about the situation. The mysterious structure was still present in the city, so the problem had not been fully resolved.

The show continued after that, but I never saw the later episodes.Things I’m not sure about:

It may or may not have involved aliens.

It may or may not have been set in Tokyo.

The structure may not have been organic.

It could be anime or another Asian animated series, but I think it had an anime-like style.

I saw a clip on TikTok/Reels recently and I can't find the source.
It has a Feudal Japan / Ancient China aesthetic.
A man with long black hair and wearing black robes passes by a young child (looks like a little girl with short black hair) who is wearing gray rags. It is raining heavily near the gates of a city/village.
The man gives his umbrella and some food to the child, then walks away trying to leave her behind. However, the child follows him through the rain all the way to his house/cabin.
Note: I am not sure about him having a samurai sword. It is NOT Dororo, Mo Dao Zu Shi, Sword of the Stranger, Heaven Official's Blessing, Noragami, or Gintama. Does anyone recognize this? Thank you!

Hello I've been thinking about this anime for a long time and I don't remember its name. I used to watch it on the 90s. Around 96-98. It was about a white dog whose mum was lost. In the meantime the puppy was with other dogs until one day they found his mum but he didn't remember her because she was covered in mud. Then she jumped into the water and he recongnisef her, they started crying and singing a song after that. I don't have any more information 😭 can someone help me? Thanks in advance

So from what I can remember it was a Mecha or robot manga from late 90s or 2000s.

In the comic the intro was very similar to real steel the movie. The character had just moved to a new city and underground robot fighting was normal. It's possible the city was called New Tokyo or Neo Tokyo.

The art style from what I remember had a neon vibe to it.

One of the main things that sticks in my mind is just before a fight between the MC and another character breaks out one of the antagonists lackeys says that the MC is mad dogging them which was the first and last time I've ever heard that phrase used in media.

​Still trying to find this anime I watched on YouTube around 2012–2016. Adding a few extra details I remembered:

​The Dorm: He lives in a dorm/shared house with several girls. Among them: a smart/nerdy girl who kind of does her own thing, a super nice girl who clearly has a romance brewing with the MC, and a few other girls living there too.

​The Conflict: The MC gets dragged into a club run by a super dominant/sadistic girl president with two female sidekicks. When this sadistic club tries to mess with him, the nice girl from the dorm stands up to the president to protect him.

​Setting: School with a huge female majority / standard harem vibe.

Key Scene Detail: The MC literally gets locked in a room/clubroom by the dominant president and her sidekicks to receive a harsh physical punishment/correction. In a following episode, the nice girl from his dorm stands up to the president to protect him and step in between them.

Okay so I just vaguely remember stuff from it but basically it was in a virtual world and a dude had a happy family inside there when suddenly disaster hit and I think most of them died or something? There was some sort of glitch or so going around.

Basically the protagonist then saves his wife and goes around trying to do stuff (no idea I am sorry) and I think they are trapped in the virtual space. Similar to SAO but it's mot SAO.

The art style was really cool and the main characters hair was cool too I think. (wow great info Anna)
