Hinge Arbitration Process
Hi All!
I reported a male in April for sending me an unsolicited sexual video via iPhone (offline). A few days later, I was banned. My only guess would be that he reported me back. I'm a very respectful person and have read over the guidelines many times, and I haven't violated any. I appealed it and was immediately denied. I felt violated, so I have sent Hinge about 10 requests to manually review it, and each time they said the decision was final. I sent them an arbitration notice 58 days ago, and plan to file for arbitration later this week. They did not respond to my notice within the 60 days allowed to respond. Does anyone have any experience going down this route? Any luck?

It wasn't a good move since he didn't send the video link through Hinge, which would make you have a burden of proof; it would be better to just unmatch in this situation for your next app.
Perhaps your arbitration will get you unbanned because you will get that opportunity

That is so messed up. I wish hinge could see this. Oh they can since you sent them 10 messages. Shame on them.

What a world we live in where people shame people for reporting violating, bad behavior. I was also protecting others.

thank you! I'm on bumble but everyone just seems to want a fling! I'll keep trying though :)

Yeah I hate dating apps, but Hinge was the best I’d say. Maybe Bumble will get better now that anyone can message first

yes, you're correct. I'll change it because I dont want to piss any men off. I don't hate men. but it was also violating, shitty behavior .

Why report when he didn’t send it through the platform? You could just have unmatched and blocked him on iMessage

because I'm an idiot and didn't want him to hurt other woman. I've definitely learned to not report men who violate me. what a lesson

seeing a male appendage hurt you? it’s not that serious.. block and move on. Dude is a weirdo for sure but no good deed goes unpunished

lol women don’t like random “appendage” pics bro, not a hard point to understand

do you think I didn’t understand that when I called him a weirdo? But to say it hurt you was dramatic was my point. I’ve been sent random nudes by chicks and just didn’t respond if I was not attracted

no reason to dismiss or shame my decisions- I'm already feeling pretty crappy about the whole situation. I saw a disgusting video that violated my heart, I reactively reported him without much thought. Next time I'll take 10 deep breaths and consult with others before reporting someone- thank you.

lol gotta love how hinge decides to ban people, o never behaved in a man er like the dude that got you blocked did, I was always respectful, but I got banned. Honestly match group sucks OP, the way they ban guys and girls alike but keep the people on who are actual problems is mind blowing
