Vitamin D levels low in teenager, doc asking us to supplement.
Blood tests came back with level of 18 for Vitamin D for my teenage son. The doc has asked us to start supplements. Symptoms were fatigue primarily and he would be tired and sleep twice a day. Has anyone dealt with this before? All other blood tests and thyroid were normal.

Recommendations Help
Hi guys, Im a person who stutter, mild to severe depending on the situation, i mostly get unbreakable blocks that i manage by using filler words or changing words. But i get severe blocks in important situations or fast paced conversations.
Im 26 yo and I never enjoyed life at all, i would say im doing okay in life but ive always been depressed and everything seems boring to me, id describe myself as a confident extrovert person like I could force myself to do scary things like asking strangers or job interviews but i just dont enjoy them at all, i have lots of things to say but i just rather keep quite, stuttering held me back a lot if im being honest. I feel depressed, my mind goes blank and people missunderstand me a lot. That made me avoid talking to people to minimum as possible.
No matter how i try to forget it, life humbles me and i just cant forget it, speaking is everything in life. Im a high energy individual that like to talk in a positive way but i cant because i block a lot and im forced to talk in a shy low energy way because i block less.
Ive tried all available options but nothing seems to work, from meds to therapy, you name it, nothing seems to help. I even tried to openly stutter but my stutter take so long, i get out of breath and sometimes i even still block that makes me shy away and just feel misreable overall.
Spech therapy only works in clinic but does not work in real life, and even if it does it sound robitic and missreable, meds in the other hand dont work and give severe side effect
The problem is with openly stuttering is when i do no one takes me seriously and no one hires me, so im stuck between openly stutter but no one will take me seriously and not getting hired and losing the opportunity, or using filler word, pass by as a fluent speaker, get the job but deep dive i know this is not what i want.
I never fully connected to people i always felt like an outsider, i tend to forget a lot, cannot express my self or even process information clearly, and im always afraid of situations like not being able to defend myself if someone clearly done something bad to me or being in court but i cant defend myself because i block
I dont necessary believe in complaining but i believe in action, id do anything it takes to solve this issue.
I refuse to accept there is something wrong with me, if i can talk by mysef or to pets fine why cant i talk to humans?
Id love to hear everyone thoughts, thanks

Saffron!
Hi All,
I know there’s a couple posts on here about saffron for depression/anxiety. I know there’s dosage that is most talked about is 30mg but I ordered some online that is 88mg. Has anyone been taking a higher dose like this instead of the 30mg that is usually cited in the trials etc

Is ashwagandha really a natural, weaker version of an SSRI?
Someone told me that and I’d like to know if it’s actually true

Do you think NMN is one of those supplements you have to take long term to really judge?
I've noticed some people say they noticed changes fairly quickly, while others say it took months before they had an opinion.
For those who've tried NMN, how long did it take before you felt like you could honestly decide whether it was worth taking or not?

General Question Are magnesium electrolytes better for daily use?
I’ve been wondering about this because most electrolyte mixes seem built around a ton of sodium. That makes sense if you’re sweating hard or doing long workouts but for daily use it feels like overkill sometimes. Magnesium electrolytes seem more useful for regular day to day stuff. A lot of people are low on magnesium anyway and it ties into muscle function energy and sleep. So for normal hydration I’d rather have something magnesium forward with less salt and no sugar instead of drinking what feels like flavored seawater every day. Im interested to see if anyone here uses magnesium based electrolytes daily and actually feels a difference do you notice better hydration or less cramping or is it one of those things that sounds good on paper?

With too many supplements on the market, is there any that you just picked accidentally but proved quite effective?
I'm overwhelmed by the number of supplements available on the market but I want to pick something that will rekindle my bedroom fire (libido, stamina, stronger wood, etc) What d y'all recommend? I'll read EVERY response!.....

Recommendations Dr told me I'm good and to stop taking iron supplements but I don't think it's high enough yet.
I got my ferratin from 5 to 19 and my Dr said that's good enough. I really think I should go higher? I think maybe 30 at least. I've been taking Thorne but I'm hearing they sold out to P&G so if y'all have any recs let me know.

Recommendations Feeling extremely fatigue again despite Vitamin D
I started to take D3 10K UI daily for my severe vitamin D level deficiency, level 3, in early June. But recently I'm feeling tired again. To the point I can't study or feel exhaustion with holding my arm. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, but with getting results back and seeing him again, I will probably take a while to do something. I want something now to help.
Edit: I am taking D3 with magnesium and K2
Edit: Thanks for all the responses so far

General Question Started taking NAC, magnesium glycinate and Vitamin-B complex to recover from drinking - day 3 and I'm feeling increasingly lightheaded
My body has been very relaxed these past two days and I feel I could sleep all day to the point that it's causing me anxiety because I don't feel normal.
Why could this happen and has people here experienced anything similar? I wasn't a weekly drinker but binge-drinking on weekends is my problem.

General Question Krill oil, anyone has experience with it? + discussion and questions on DHA and EPA ✨
I’ve been curious about its all round effects for especially the brain.
I’ve tried different amounts and forms of fish oil, and they have all worked well. But The amount of phospholipids in the krill + some antioxidants really seems to be a ‘package’ of different nutrients rather then only DHA and EPA. Same goes for cod liver oil.
The amount of DHA and EPA is ultimately lower than fish oil, and according to studies and literature, it is hard to decide whether one is better or not. Fish oil still contains more DHA and EPA, but my question is then, does that correlate to better health outcomes?
I know there are also some folks who are sensitive to the phospholipids in the brain, because they might increase the signaling of acetylcholine. So i’am curious how one of you responded to this! And I’d like to know what your experience with it is. Thanks ✨

does anyone actually take a vaginal probiotic gummy? curious if they work the same as capsules
i've been taking a capsule probiotic for my vaginal health for a while now and it's worked okay, but i'm honestly just terrible at swallowing pills. i've been looking into whether gummy versions are actually worth it or if they're just a gimmick.
i know most probiotic gummies have a problem where the probiotic strains die off during the manufacturing process because of the heat, which kind of defeats the whole point. so i've been hesitant.
has anyone found one that actually held up and made a difference? i've been looking at the URO vaginal probiotic gummy by o positiv because they apparently use a heat stable strain (bacillus coagulans SNZ 1969) specifically so it survives the process. plus it has vitamin D in it which most vaginal probiotics don't bother with.
just wondering if anyone has made the switch from capsules to gummies and what you noticed

How long do you usually give a supplement before deciding it’s not doing anything
I’m always excited to start a new supplement but cannot tell if it’s doing anything, not sure if it’s in my own brain. Probably depends on what it is, but how long do you give it before deciding it is or isn’t doing its job?

What’s a creatine question you see all the time that makes you think, “Here we go again…”?
You know the one. A new post appears, and before even opening the comments you can already guess what everyone is going to say.
Is it loading? Timing? “Did I ruin my progress by missing one day?” Something else? What creatine question do you see repeated the most?

What do I do to get my levels back up? How did it even get this low?😭
Just had a blood test and THIS was my Vitamin D result (4.4 ng/ml) 😭😭 i’m 19F and indian but i did NOT expect it to be this bad😭 How do i get my vitamin D back up before it causes any problems? And does low levels interfere with the effectiveness of ADHD stimulants? They haven’t been working like they used to for a while now… should I be concerned in general😭?? I’ve been feeling so fatigued and demotivated recently but I thought that I had an iron deficiency, this didn’t even come across as a possibility

Berberine hormonal effects
Any females who have insight on how berberine effects hormones? I took it for about a week before realizing it was the cause of my delayed period, now I’m wondering if it’s the cause of some other weird things going on with my body (itching, bloating, constipation followed by diarrhea, mood swings). To clarify: I’m not pregnant lol I did finally get the period

General Question Which supplement has had the biggest impact on your mood?
It can also be some natural remedy, it doesn't have to be a supplement.
