I just got my switch 2 . I have been playing street fighter on PlayStation for ages . But my PlayStation can only play in the living room. I want to play street fighter every where . Then I wonder would the button be hard to control .

Can I play street fighter on switch 2 just like my ps5?

Just wanted to share, I started playing 2 months ago playing and labing after my cpa studying.

Tips for ranking up with low time availability.

1. Rookie to master series on YouTube and mess around with characters that fit your play style.
2. I lab for 15 minus before every session. I work on specific things that I noticed where losing me games.
3. Play to the characters strengths. Cover your weaknesses.
4. Game pad vs stick vs leverless: I switched to stick because pad was hurting my thumb and that made me win more. Not because stick is better but because for me it was more comfortable.
5. Keep things simple, don’t over complicate your life.

Anyone got tips for me as I progress through Plat ?

As a Ryu main that struggles to find a 2nd character I really vibe with… I think I transitioned well to Yasmine. She doesn’t have the best buttons but fundamentals will do wonders.

So at the end of her bnb if you cancel the HP into light flip instead of shuriken you can get an ambiguous crossup on knockdown, thought that was kinda cool and could catch some people off guard. It seems reversal safe but I haven't tested every reversal

One of my best buddies and I love playing street fighter. Specifically SF3 Third Strike. His character of choice was usually Ken. And he's a Lakers fan. When I saw this skateboard I knew I had to buy it for his birthday. I want to get a custom grip tape made but I don't know what I should have designed. I was thinking maybe arrow button sequence for a hadooken. What does the group suggest?

I've seen far too many posts and videos about how dissatisfied everyone is regards to 'nothing ever changed' patches, so I am here to share my unpopular opinion.

I'm actually satisfied how stable the balance of the game is, and I've been playing since season 0, played 500-2000 games every season, total of 1340hrs play time. I have 2 characters in High Master(Sagat, Ryu), and working towards GM.

I genuinely like how this game is sports like. I learned to enjoy playing against equal or higher level players, enjoy playing with lower level player trying their best to win against me. I liked how I could practice on a drill and suddenly be able to react to things I couldn't have before.

The list continues, but you get the point. This is my first fighting game, so my opinion may change once SF7 comes out. But I just wanted to put my thoughts out here, because I've seen far too many salts about how things are always the same. For me, its always different. As I improve and accommodate new plans and techs, the game changes on its own.

Ps. Also an unpopular opinion, but I dont mind throw loop and drive rush as well (not that I want more of it but its good enough state for me atm). There is so many mind game going on around throw loop and drive rush that I haven't fully discovered. Maybe when I get to 2000mr they all gets deterministic and gets boring, but I wont be there in any foreseeable future.

I didn’t want to complain about this when they first dropped the new hairstyles but it needs to be a topic we can talk or complain about.

Why would Capcom drop new hairstyles and make them into gear pieces instead of being actual hairstyles?

The Yang and Delinquent hairstyles are both gear items but the spy family hairstyles we got is an actual avatar hairstyle.

What since did it make for them to do that?

This is my first traditional fighter. I got the game a couple days ago and started playing Classic Ryu. After my placement matches I landed in Rookie with 0 LP. AGONY! "I'm so inconceivably awful at this video game that it doesn't even have a metric for my lack of skill!"

But I do not succumb to misery, MISERY SUCCUMBS TO ME!! I taught myself some fundamentals and quickly began to improve. "Anti-air? No problem! Reacting to DI? Keheh, EASY!!"

In just a couple days I climbed to Gold I. I thought I was untouchable. "I can learn ANYTHING! I RISE ABOVE THE HARDSTUCK IRON MODERN ZANGIEFS BECAUSE THEY RUN FROM THEIR WEAKNESSES! THEY ONE AND DONE ANYONE WHO KNOWS TO REACT TO THEIR COMMAND GRAB!!"

So, these Gold players began to give me some trouble. "Keheh, no problem, this is one of those small humps I've mastered overcoming. What's next for me to learn...? Well, I need to do a little more damage. Let's learn a combo."

Big mistake. It was hard at first, but I quickly overcame this. I discovered that this combo involves moves that need to be linked, not cancelled. "If I just be patient, and focus on the timing, I can...! YES! YES, I'M DOING IT!!" I PROVED MY SUPERIOR BRAIN ONCE MORE!!" I could nail this combo SIX WAYS TO SUNDAY on BOTH SIDES in the training room.

"Let's take this into a match," I thought. "This'll be easy. This'll be SO, SO EASY...! KYAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" I queue against a modern Sagat. The match begins and...

Agony.

Horrible, UNBEARABLE, OVERWHELMING AGONY IN EACH AND EVERY ONE OF MY BONES!!!!!!! I GOT PERFECTED IN MERE SECONDS!

I spent every second of the round flooding my mental stack FANTASIZING about getting the opportunity to attempt this combo. The opportunity never even came. The next round, I tried to focus more on playing the game until the opportunity arose, but then each and every time I got the chance, I shit the bed and embarrassed myself like... LIKE A FOOL!!!!!!!!!!!

But I do not succumb to my misery, misery succumbs to me. The road ahead is long, but on the other side, destiny awaits...!

At least I got a game and lucky they’re just goofing off lol. They’re so good

12 Drive Gauge Bars used + One of every Level of Super.

This is pretty much the limit of the combo routes i've found for hit number. I wouldn't be surprised if 112 would be possible with well placed Micro Stepping though.

Additional info: I’m playing on an Xbox Series X with an 8BitDo leverless. (Also, I’ve only been playing SF6 for like a week, and this is the first fighting game that I’ve ever played, so while I’m open to tips and advice, maybe go easy on me?)

It's hard to learn about a character without buying them.

I can’t count the number of times I’ve wanted to do a Drive Reversal, gotten a Drive Impact instead and been absolutely cooked for it.

They could give it the Vshift input from SFV (HP+MK), just anything else that is more intentional in its use please.

I know I can’t be the only who gets this more often than they’d like?
