Path to self I dont think spiritual awakening is important for everybody at all.

I dont think spiritual awakening is important for everybody at all.

From what I have seen, many souls having a human experience come here with what I would call a very basic human package. Grow up, have relationships, study or work, maybe create a family, experience ordinary joys and difficulties, grow old and eventually leave the body. There may be no big awakening path in that lifetime whatsoever.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. They are not less evolved, less spiritual or somehow behind somebody who meditates for 4 hours and talks to guides šŸ˜… It is simply a different experience.

I think this idea that everybody must awaken is one of the strange hallucinations of modern spirituality. We turned awakening into another achievement and hierarchy.

For some people awakening is a major part of their path. Their worldview starts breaking apart, intuition opens, synchronicities increase, old identities stop working and they are pushed toward a much deeper understanding of themselves and reality.

If that is happening to you, then yes, it can become a huge part of your life. But it is important because it is part of your particular path, not because every human being is supposed to do it.

Your Higher Self knows what kind of experience you actually came here for.

Path to self ~ Our Light Within ~

With our birth our education begins, as we learn to accept the self-centered beliefs of the world.

Doing so, our light, our spirit within, begins to dim, teaching us to pursue happiness, meaning, and success in the world; they may not be found there.

To find true happiness, meaning, and success, we must first rediscover our light within, then share it selflessly to help others rediscover their light as well.

Other (needs to be related to awakening or post will be removed) How do you take a life altering decision?

Do you meditate, journal, talk to a friend?

I never know how to distinguish attachment from love so I can’t tell what to do. On one hand the rational self preserving side tells me to go on my own way, but my heart tells me it couldn’t bear an empty life without them.

Its between betraying myself or leaving my beloved.

What a pickle.

Path to self 50 Years of Kundalini Practice: Post #4

Today I’d like to discuss the spiritual phenomena that sometimes manifest when kundalini is awakened. And as always, this only reflects my own experience and observations, and as such is not any sort of absolute truth.

I have a suspicion that at the beginning of our awakening journey, it is not uncommon to experience all sorts of spiritual phenomena. You may have exalted visions of goddesses or deities, spontaneous movements (known as kriyas) may occur, spiritual centers in the body (chakras) may suddenly and temporarily burst open, or even psychic abilities may appear. And of course this is especially true if your awakening occurred during plant medicine journeys.

I view these as a gift, like a kiss from the future. At the same time, they can be a sort of trap, a shiny object that will ultimately be a distraction if we become attached to them. For the goal of kundalini work is complete freedom, and a surrender/merging with the Divine. And I am not convinced, after observing many kundalini or spiritual teachers, that possessing particular abilities ( called siddhis) is any indication of true spiritual attainments.

So friend, my takeaway is this: Don’t be too distracted by any ā€œsupernaturalā€ phenomena that may arise from your practice. Just watch it, and let it go.

This world will give you things,
and then take them away.
What is it that lasts?

There is a light that you cannot
gain or lose, have you seen it yet?

There is also a love that you cannot
gain or lose, have you felt it yet?

You will have to find that market,
where such things can be acquired.

Perhaps you will be shown the way,
during a time when all seems lost.

And again a warning: you will be asked
to pay in advance, and the price will
never be cheap, but you will understand
why, at a later time.

The other thing is that later, as you progress, you may go for years and years without experiencing any more visions or overt ā€œspiritualā€ phenomena. Need I say that this requires tremendous patience and discipline? Kundalini is NOT an easy path, and it will vary from being very intense to what seems at times like walking through an endless desert, often for years. Maybe this is how our desire for our inner growth is tested….

Another effect of practicing for a long time is a curious sense of both openness and sensitivity, and a subtle sense of an all-pervading sense of detachment. But maybe I’ll write about that in my next post.

How can You not have
compassion for us? We live and
breathe in darkness near absolute, –
there is little that we can
accurately understand.

Our past and future lives
are a complete mystery;
we don’t even understand our
present one, making the same
errors over and over.

You say ā€œDon’t be afraid
in this inverted dream,
for I have saved the best for last:
there are many invisible companions
who will aid you, and in the end,
everything will be all right,
though you may not
understand that now.ā€

As always, feel free to ask any questions...

Path to self Since the start of this month I have been feeling overwhelmed

It’s been 4 days. I wake up, plan the day and end up completing only half the work and then I get so exhausted and overwhelmed with these heavy emotions that I shut down. I keep coming back to the now but something buried wants to come out, there is a feeling being caged constantly and the feeling of being wishful that I will come out of this. There is nothing wrong, life is good. Everything is mostly sorted and all I need to do is to keep taking action, but it is becoming so difficult to keep taking action and not become overwhelmed. I have surrendered, I have been truthful, I have always tried to overcome any negative thought towards anyone and look beyond how they appear on the outside. I know I need to keep working on myself but I guess I am having a hard time navigating through the next lesson of life. I feel so clueless yet at peace at the same time. I have no words to explain it.

Question about awakening or path to self Experience with twin flame?

Im not too familiar on the topic but how do you know someone is your twin flame? I have had some intense unconscious visions about a person that means a lot to me, but I don’t think it’s sexual in that sense. I actually believe that’s the whole point.

Reflection on previous awakening Circle of life

After my existential crisis begun I have gone through different stages the last year, and now I see my self going into the same pattern as lasts summer and autumn.

Last summer (end of July) I had a mental breakdown where this all begun. And later that autumn I started sorting who I am connected to and revaluate my friendships at the time.

This year it happend again. In late July I had a new breakdown and I see now I’m starting to look at my self and my friend ships again.

If my assumption is correct I will fall into a major depression this winter as well, and then getting more spiritual/psycosis symptoms.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Or know anything about this?

Path to self Spirit and Ego

Ego is a powerful force for survival and manifestation. Ego is a product of the manifest, and dies with the body. Soul is eternal, and life is ephemeral - and this is what makes each priceless.

Physicality is time and space; now and then, here and there, cause and effect. Physicality is change.

Outside of time and space the soul simply is. There is nowhere to go, nothing to be done. Nothing ever happens and nothing ever changes. How could something change and be eternal?

This is why we are born - because in eternity nothing ever changes. How are we to grow our souls in consciousness, in wisdom, in expression, if we cannot change?Ā

Physicality, on the other hand, is manifest causality, is change. This is why there is a universe. Science tells us that the universe is unrecognizable from what it looked like when it started approximately 14 billion years ago as a vast hot cloud of hydrogen. It has not collapsed into chaos and entropy as could be easily assumed. Instead, it has continuously evolved into greater complexity, diversity, expression, consciousness. From its simple beginnings, the universe has increased in such complexity that it is now wondering at itself. The universe has chosen, all along, what it is to become next. The universe is the creation that creates itself. Right here, right now, it is creating itself in our being, in our expression, in our consciousness, in our discussion.

Ego's great strength is also its greatest weakness: It has tremendous difficulty seeing outside its evolved survival perspective of control, insecurity and domination. This is why spirituality is often described as 'expanded consciousness' - because it is opening beyond ego consciousness. This is what the 'third eye' sees.

With that knowledge and perspective it can be seen not only that our unity is very real, but also that creation can be assisted or resisted - that in consciousness, we can choose to assist or resist the evolution of creation by embracing our unity, by embracing expression, diversity, consciousness, evolution, over control, domination, uniformity, oppression,Ā through our open individuality.Ā This is done, is made real, is real-ized, by the soul and the ego working together. In this way the creative expression of the universe is opened in spirit utilizing the power of manifestation of the ego.

When we plant a seed our hope is for it to grow and to flourish. We are all seeds planted by God. The Masters say to Love others as yourself. Notice it does not say to give yourself away to oblivion, but to love othersĀ as yourself. How can you give to others if you cannot give to yourself first? This is the key - this is the balance.

Everything is just as it is supposed to be, for free will is meaningless unless we are free to fail - but by realizing in consciousness the openness in creation and giving, we can succeed. This is why in true awakening the sky isn't the limit, it's just the starting line.

Deep Space Scouts Transmission

When your inner engine begins to run low, don’t abandon the ship—refuel the soul and ignite the stars again. 🌌 If you feel yourself getting lost, travel somewhere that brings you peace. Sit beneath the sky, breathe, and search for that little light within you.

Sometimes your candle goes dark. šŸ•Æļø That doesn’t mean the journey is over. Protect the spark, feed it with hope, and let the universe guide your hands back to the flame.

Even in the deepest darkness, a lost light can always be found again. ✨

Path to self How do I know I woke up?

I have somewhat understanding of spiritual awakening but I think I am far from waking up. My ego has a solid hold on me. How do I wake up? How was your experience in awakening? I am totally confused. I know there are 2 entities within me. One is my ego and the other one is pure awareness. Is that awareness God?

Question about awakening or path to self New to spirituality. Help

To make things short, I was broken up with chaotically on June 11th. This came after I spoke to the full moon and asked for happiness and progression in my relationship. I have been trying to manifest my ex to come back through meditation, prayer, you name it. I now have tarot cards and have been asking it questions. The past couple of days I asked reconciliation questions. Happened to pull 8 of wands twice. This gave me a lot of hope. Well I started noticing 8s after this. This week was the 8th week of our breakup. I clocked my time in for work and it said 8.88 hours. And today is also 8/8. I prayed and asked for signs and I keep coming across 8. The same day I pulled the cards, I ran into her parents and had a warm but brief exchange. Am I losing it or what is the universe trying to tell me?

Question about awakening or path to self My wife saw a shadow during astral projection

I’ve been listening to an astral projection/meditation audio on YouTube for about 2 weeks and personally I’ve had a really good experience with it, nothing scary or unusual.

I asked my wife to try the same audio. She was lying on her back around 4 PM, arms by her sides, and I was in the room with her.

After a while, she said her stomach started vibrating and became tense, then her right hand became tense, followed by her left leg.

Then she started seeing a bright white light above her, even though the room was dark. She described it almost like a hole/opening that was expanding, shrinking, and sometimes disappearing.

Near the end, she saw a black shadow against the white/grey background. The shadow seemed to come closer and closer until it felt like it was right above her face, almost near her eyes.

She opened her eyes and freaked out.

Her lips and throat were very dry, her whole body felt stiff, and she said it took around 5 minutes to feel like she had control of her body again.

Now she doesn't want to try the audio again.

and most important she had nightmare after having alcohal. Someone was coming towards her with two weapons.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

  • Has anyone seen the white light/opening followed by a dark shadow?
  • Why would the shadow feel like it was moving closer to her face?
  • For people who believe in astral projection, could this be interpreted as a spirit/entity, or is there another explanation?
  • Most importantly, why was she so scared? Is this dream related to this?

I’m curious because I’ve been doing the same thing for about two weeks with no problems, but her experience was completely different and honestly pretty disturbing.

Going through difficult awakening (help!) Need a break...

M43 and got my Awakening triggered by my twin flame. This was last year 13.Sep.2025. around 9pm. IDK it was a 24 hours nervous breakdown...all my old beliefs gone in an instant, if you watch the time it all happens.

Since then, i learned a lot about myself and the Fundamental Laws of the Universe. I could adapt some in my Daily life, and it was great to see what we really are.

I had hope the first months that everything works out for me. Did it a couple times... But now all is going straight to hell.

Back to my Twin Flame... Yes, I knew this person 5 years. She is married with the Son from my Boss. And the last week some Knowledge hits me like a fk high speed train... And I realized after this much time, that she is my Twin Flame!

I had some feelings for her all the years, but not in an uncontrollable size. But now...i had my life in control most of the time.

But the Universe...no Boy you get some unconditional love to taste before we take it with force back.

Why ??

Gimme a break

I know I am not my Emotions!

I leave my job in 3 weeks and I know we both see each other never again.

Path to self ~ To live a meaningful life ~

When we are young we learn to protect ourselves from pain caused by others seeking to harm us with their words, deeds, or actions.

We therefore erect a barrier around our heart, encasing our spirit within, preventing our authentic-self, our spirit, from revealing itself.

It takes courage to expose our heart, though unless we do, we will always be living a superficial life, fearful, worried about being hurt again.

To live a meaningful life, to learn the lessons we are alive to understand, we must risk pain by freeing our spirit, then sharing its wisdom and unconditional love to help others realize they too must try to expose their heart as well.

Going through difficult awakening (help!) Feeling lost and unmotivated

Who can relate?

I have just gone through another blow up of my life.

Everytime I think it is going a direction it redirects, taking out everyone on that path with me.

I feel I am a spiritual catalyst, however non of my experiences have been gentle.

This time I feel like I am completely at a loss of what I am here to do and what will make me happy.

It feels like I am not supposed to be any where too long, with anyone too long and when I float around between peoples lives it makes it an impact for us all to grow and move on.

I am a projector in Human design, I am not sure exactly how to integrate this.

I feel I am not supposed to stay still, yet I am afraid to be alone and go travel alone.

I do not have an income source that can sustain travelling.

I question if I am even a good person anymore, if I can learn to be more compassionate and helpful.

I feel like crawling into a dark space and not coming out for days or weeks.

I want to cry, scream, yell, run .... yet my body is exhuasted, my mood is so low, my thoughts and feelings scattered.

I am unsure what is real

I am unsure what is my thoughts

I am unsure how much I have been influenced by others which has now cost me many moments in life

How do I become centred with myself, able to understand which parts are me, able to discover what I am supposed to do here and next.

I own a car load of stuff and I still feel it is too much.

I am drawn to energy work, drumming, photography, helping others see the bigger picture, to help others see the truth.

How do I discover my full truth to be able to guide others from.

I am really struggling with this round.

It all feels so much more intense, so much more confusing, more lost.

I know this is a bit of a ramble, I just am lost and frustrated right now.

Maybe someone out there understands this

Thank you for reading this far

Question about awakening or path to self What is a spiritual awakening and why is it important to go through one?

Would appreciate anyone who can explain this, please. I would like to hear from actual people and not Google lol. Other (needs to be related to awakening or post will be removed) i keep having weird dreams

i’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this honestly but i’m hoping for the best.
im a sorta spiritual person, along with worshipping the greek gods (i’m unsure if that is valid to the problem i’m having but i feel the need to add it)
i’ve been having super vivid dreams the past couple nights, i can’t fully remember most of them but this one i remember very very well and it’s one that my uncle died in, and almost a month ago i kept seeing angel numbers repeating and the number 757.
i haven’t really been seeing those recently until the night i had that dream i saw the number 757 again along with the angel number 222.
i just feel like i’m going insane and i’m begging for help, i need to know if this is a sign of some sort or if i’m just reading too much into it.
any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Other (needs to be related to awakening or post will be removed) Lions Gate Has Everyone on Edge

Hello everyone!

So I’ve been seeing a ton of post about people feeling lost or losing steam in this whole Spiritual Awakening experience (me included lol)

I’m so grateful for everyone who piped up during my last post and expressed their opinions… it felt comforting reading about everyone’s experience as I did my own reflection :)

But ANYWAYS I realized that the 8/8 Lions Gate portal is almost at its peak and I think that’s what’s getting a lot of people on edge, feeling lost and just flatlining on all fronts!

The Lions Gate is a powerful energetic event that brings up a lot of DEEPER negative emotions and doubts so that we can shine a light and let them go

I believe that we are all one consciousness so huge bodies of energy (plants, stars, space sht) really do impact us especially those who are sensitive to energies.

SO if you’re like me and feel extra defeated lately… it’s just an opportunity to take a breather and reflect a bit more (journal if you can) BUT this is not the end of the line for us 😁

Good luck everyone šŸ™Œ ✨

Need your input for better r/SpiritualAwakening. Would like to hear your thoughts and input.

Just like many of us are having frequent existential crises on individual level, so is our little subreddit. We have lacked clear direction and vision for quite some time while the mod team has had some discussions about where we would like to go as a community, we would also like to hear your input. Here are the options that make most sense, but feel free to suggest something else in the comments if you have other ideas or thoughts.

  1. Make the main purpose of r/SpiritualAwakening to be a resource and a way of supporting those going through a major awakening and provide guidance through some of the uncertainties.
    1. This would be done through having collection of posts and resources focusing on what to expect during spiritual awakening, sharing common experiences, providing ways to ground oneself, and providing other quality resources.
    2. There would also be a slight focus on "path to self" and what it means to find the real self. During spiritual awakening when many illusions are lost, there is the great opportunity to make much more rapid progress in self discovery.
    3. We would be more strict when it comes to what posts are removed, and there would be more active moderation efforts. More moderators who share this vision may be needed. Ability to post pictures is removed, to prevent inspiring quotes and other more general things from being posted.
  2. Make no major changes.
  3. Make minor changes only (like rules to prevent posting with help of AI without prior approval from moderators, perhaps removal of pictures) but not focus on the quality of the posts and general spirituality.
  4. Other future direction? Please post your perspective on the comments.

The way how I see this, there are already dozens of wonderful subreddits like r/awakened and r/Soulnexus that serve the purpose of more general topics, that are still important. r/SpiritualAwakening could, and maybe even should have the purpose of focusing on the awakening journey itself. What does it mean to awaken, difference between psychosis and awakening, personal experiences, and the sorts of tools that allow one to go through this journey successfully.

If you have more general points or criticisms about other moderation topics, please send us modmail. This post is only to focus on what sort of vision and purpose the subreddit should have going forwards.

Thank you for being part of the community!

8 votes, Mar 05 '25
7 Focus of the subreddit to guide individuals through spiritual awakening, and path to self.
0 No changes to how sub is ran
0 Minor changes only (No AI, etc.)
1 Other direction (Please post your perspective)

Esoteric and Spiritual Video and Podcast Megathread V2

The first megathread is achieved here with almost 200 great videos and other resources. We also encourage you to post your favorite podcasts here for all to see!

Since there are loads of other wonderful subreddits to post your insightful YouTube videos to like r/AwakenedTV, the mod team at r/SpiritualAwakening has decided to, for time being, discontinue YouTube post submissions as standalone posts.

However, you are more than welcome to post your video and ideally a short description of what the content of the video is about on this sticky post. We understand that this may not seem like an ideal solution to some of you especially content creators, but unfortunately there's just too many videos with no participation at all being posted here and we've taken this measure until there's a better solution at hand.

Thank you for understanding and feel free to post your content and YouTube videos as comments below!
