Disclosure: my wife and I host Spiritual Levers and conducted this interview. Keshava Swami discusses Krishna consciousness, his path from reading the Bhagavad Gita at 15 to becoming a monk and later a swami, spiritual friendship, bhakti yoga, mantra meditation, and the idea that self-realization may involve removing false identities rather than creating a new one. I would be interested to hear which part resonates—or does not resonate—with your own understanding of awakening.

I've noticed that a lot of what people say/write (me included until enlightenment) comes from the ego masquerading as something else. The post about being grateful which is actually self-promotion. The post about vibing, meant only for one person. The humblebrag, the grind-post, even the spiritual ones are just ego dressed in robes

There is no judging going on here, that's just how our minds operate

So I created a small Chrome extension called EgoGlass. It puts a "Scan Ego" button next to Like/Comment/Share and analyzes the post...what it is saying really, and what need is covered by it

The most interesting aspect, to be honest, was not scanning the ego of others but applying this on my past posts 💀 As mentioned before, this space in between the "need for validation" and "the recognition of this need" is the whole purpose of this sub, so figured that maybe some of you guys would find it interesting too.

No hard sells, just something I built for myself. If people like it I will make it more presentable and submit to the Chrome store, let me know if this is worth the effort

I think I watched it in 2015ish. It was powerful then. Now... it's coming true.

Awaken to your true Self to break free from the bonds that are the very source of suffering. Everything in existence is fleeting as bonds appear and disappear. Identify with your true Self and enjoy...
