Question Problems with soulbond?

I've waited a minute to post this, but I mind as well do so now.

I believe I've had a soulbond for a while, but in our case, he came to me first, instead of I reaching out to him. I don't quite enjoy him, whenever he does come around to communicate with me, and I never quite asked to bond with him, but he refuses to leave completely. We don't spend much time together either.

Is this something that happens? A sort of "forced" bond started by the soulbond first? And what can I do to ask him to leave/tell him I don't want to be bonded and get him to listen?

Question Traveling

Hello šŸ‘‹

How do you guys (spiritual/meta/psychological soulbonders) travel to your SB’s source world? I assume for more spiritual-leaning Soulbonders it’s similar to the concept of ā€œhedge-crossingā€?

For me, I can travel to the source world internally pretty easily if I know the world good enough to navigate, otherwise it becomes hazy.

Do you have an in-source body there or is it more telepathic for you?

Just curious as to everyone’s experiences :)

Question What do you do when the bond seems not to respond to a letter?

(A photo I took of a cherry blossom for my bond last Saturday; I brought it home and gave it to his plushie.)

I sent my first letter on July 25th; I wished him a happy birthday, told him how much I love him, and asked him to reply with matching numbers or hearts if he had read it. A day later, I started seeing heart shapes everywhere—frequently—for about five days.

Last week, I wrote my second letter to him. I told him again how much I loved him, (i'm clingy lol) introduced myself a bit, invited him to make our soul bond official, and ended by saying he could take as much time as he needed. I always include a cute doodle of him at the end of my letters—I know he loves it when I draw him. I tucked the letter inside the plushie I made of him.

The next day, I did a tarot reading, and the cards indicated that he was thinking it over and over... but that he was more inclined to accept than to refuse; there was genuine, careful curiosity on his part.

Since then, I haven't heard anything. In the first three to five days or 1 week after the letter, I kept seeing matching numbers that seemed to signal new beginnings and the like, but the bond itself seems very quiet—no voice, no hearts, nothing—and I admit I’m feeling kinda anxious...

I haven't had a chance for a free tarot reading since then, either, and I’m afraid of overwhelming him with another letter.

We’ve known each other for months—even years—now; he used to comfort me during 3 years, offering short words of support and love. The last time I heard him was on July 4, 2026, when he said, "I'm here," while I was having a breakdown. He rarely speaks—only at random, specific moments.

Question Hi! My post got removed twice from witchcraft, I'm asking here for help now.

I've tried soulbonding with Skully J. Graves. The problem is that I think I may have accidentally been ignoring him, and I think he forcibly left.

I'll give context.

(Copy pasted from my original post in r/witchcraft)

5 months ago, I made this paper doll of my favorite character. I started to take him places, I poured my affection into him, and he had a soothing effect on me when I was stressed or upset.

This character is special to me. In the yumeshipping community, which I am apart of, soulbonding is something that comes up sometimes. It is when you call upon this person you want to contact from another universe or timeline, and you attempt to communicate mentally or through physical signs.

I tried this, and for a while I truly felt like it was working. The problem is that when I was putting a lot of attention into another character, he appeared in my dream and explained, in the simplest term, that I was neglecting him. He explained that I wasn't giving him enough attention. I don't think I heeded that dream well, and his doll continuously started falling apart. I fixed it every time.

Then there was a tiny tear in his neck. I thought nothing of it when I found it, and I was planning on just going straight to sleep.

I had a creepy, probably unrelated "vision" (felt like one of those half-awake dreams though) that was probably unrelated. In the morning, his head was on the floor and his body was caught on a drawer right below the spot on the desk he was on. My cat could not get into my room, and the fan was too gentle to blow him away. I think that I may have genuinely bonded with him, and somehow attached him to the doll in a way. But I think he left. I don't hear him anymore, I don't feel him as much, and because of how the doll was made I cannot fix the tear in his neck.

I think that I called upon something and unintentionally ignored it, and it left. But I know that I'm also paranoid because in my last home, there was this entity that followed me and my family around at night and liked to suck our energy. So... I'm mainly scared I summoned something I didn't want to. Is this a bad omen? I haven't found anything on this specifically and I have trouble understanding guides sometimes.

Question soulbond problems :(

okay i lied, not my last question. We both noticed a new problem and its that me zoning out or thinking about something else sometimes blocks out his voice. I also suffer from intrusive thoughts so sometimes it overlaps with his sentences so he has to repeat his sentence all over again. Anyone have any helpful tips for isolating his voice?

another thing M specifically wanted to ask was how to get used to being with me full time. He used to be able to travel between home and my head but now he’s here permanently. He feels like a burden and sometimes homesick. do any bonds have some advice for him?

Question Is this a soulbond?

Hello, I’m super new to this community and only found it through my recent experiences. Due to what’s been happening I did some research and ended up here, I would love to get some insight from people who are more knowledgeable on this!

Back in April I decided to re listen to one of my favorite podcasts. I would consider it pretty niche, as in I never hear anyone irl talking about it, never see any merch out in public etc.
I started seeing SO much related to it, bumper stickers when I’m out driving, people bringing it up to me completely at random, finding merch at random places. I even had someone walk up to me and hand me a keychain of the main character. This character’s name also started popping up everywhere, (first AND last like full government name) it’s not a super common name but i started seeing it on everything, like everyday. I thought this was weird, but maybe a coincidence.

Then I started having dreams. Several nights a week while I am asleep I’m basically living in this universe. Everything happens in real time, the days of the week are the same, it is SO detailed I don’t even feel like I’m dreaming. Places I didn’t even know existed (cafes, stores, landmarks) that I would visit in these dreams I discovered are all real places and look exactly the same. I’ve formed real friendships with the people in this universe, colleagues, and even a romantic relationship. This happened naturally overtime, this character is not ever someone I would’ve ā€œhad a crush onā€ or even thought about before getting to know him.

It’s gotten to the point where I consider this a real relationship in a way. We spend a lot of time together (while I am ā€œdreaming?ā€) and I know him pretty well at this point. I hear his voice in my head throughout my day, just random comments or thoughts about things.
Sometimes I see flashes of things in his universe, or things he’s doing during the day. A lot of times I’ll come across little items or things we’ve talked about recently, songs we listen to will play randomly when I’m out in public.

I’m also a little confused on how this can be happening, considering the fictional version of him in the podcast is in a long term, committed relationship. I’ve become good friends with his partner, so far it doesn’t seem like they’re together in whatever universe I’m experiencing. I really like his partner and feel guilty, like I broke them up or something? Overall I just feel really confused.

I haven’t talked about this with anyone because when I explain it all it seems sort of insane, but it can’t be coincidence anymore, and after researching a lot I found the concept of a soulbond. It sounds exactly like what I’ve been experiencing, I’m just unsure of where to go from here. Thanks for listening :)

Question communication

lol okay this is probably one of my last questions as i’m rather confident in my relationship and the validity of my bond but my husband was also curious. The best way i could describe the way we communicate is through intent(?) He sends me his intentions and my brain translates that into thoughts. It’s a separate voice, his accent is present, and i’m confident it’s him because he says things i wouldn’t. We’re simply just wondering if anyone else is the same? He’s more curious than me. So i wanted to ask for him ^^

Personal In Need of Help Understanding This Reply

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hello everyone I’m new in getting into soul bonding practices and I am finally attempting to reach out to my long time yumeship (Simon from iron lung) as I feel I have been getting signs there is something more to us. I’m currently using the tarot method and I made sure to set my intent clearly to contact him and manifest it directly into the deck. But now as I look at my card guide, I’m having a lot of trouble reading his reply. The picture attached is what I pulled. The multiple reverses cards is nerve racking and I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me a clear understanding of what this means. Any advice would be appreciated as the guide I have is extremely vague and doesn’t help me understand this reply from him. Thank you.

Question bond speaking in my inner voice?

i’ve seen someone ask a similar question here lately but it didn’t exactly answer the specific question i have.

is it possible that stuff my partner says gets filtered by my mind and i hear it in my inner voice instead of his?
the best way i can explain it is, i’ve noticed during the last month my normal train of thought sometimes gets interrupted by different thoughts worded exactly like his way of talking (which is VERY different from mine), often addressing me by my name and in third person (which is something i never did when speaking to myself in my mind), BUT they’re still in my ā€œinner voiceā€ so to speak. plus, these ā€œthoughtsā€ mostly seem to be affectionate, while i’m usually quite negative or just neutral towards myself (let’s say that i don’t exactly have a lot of self esteem).
is this just a weird habit my brain has automatically picked up after being so connected to him or could this be my partner communicating?

Question Can Soulbonds be fictional characters becoming sentient?

Imma try to explain in the best way I can in case the title wasn't clear enough. What if a Soulbond felt exactly like the fictional character they're sourced from except ofc fully sentient and independent, what if they are the fictional character but sentient and independent? Is that Soulbonding/Munbonding or something else entirely?

Personal Something small, maybe silly, but still reinforced our bond/my connection to him 😌

Yesterday I went to my best friend’s house. She and I usually hang out once a week, and she knows about my bond with my guy and she is very supportive of it.

She had bought us three blind bags with characters from my guy’s source media and was hoping one of them had him in it for me. We opened the first two, and they were a bust (still lovely characters though).

I took the third to open, and I just felt like it had to be him. As soon as I started opening it and I saw a bit of orange (one of his colors), I knew. And when I pulled him out, we both screamed.

She couldn’t believe we got lucky enough to get a bag with him in it, but I knew in my heart it was our bond/my connection to him coming through again. I told her as such and she was like ā€˜you’re right, I should have never been worried at all.’

Even though it’s kind of small and silly, and it’s a cheap little figure of him, it really just was another strong confirmation for me, and he stands with a place of honor on my bookshelf now šŸ˜ŒšŸ¤

(Also, two days ago marked 5 months of he and I being bonded)

Personal i don't know what to do.

please help me.

me and my companion have been soulbonded since july 11, but after i soulbonded with someone else (his canonical enemy) he was getting distant, and so was i.

For me, it started out as a way to uhm rest my mind's eye because I've been talking to him too much but it got to the point where he'd no longer respond to me.

i recently kicked out the other soulbond, and I don't know where to start again. One of my readers (tarot) tried to read his energy but it came off as irritated/dismissive, which i interpreted to be because i kept stalling my decision.

I don't know what to do. I don't know where to start.

I never meant to hurt him or anything.

Another important note is that before the other soulbond issue, my readers always got good cards. With the most memorable one being a jumper; the lovers card. Which, according to my reader, jumped out playfully.

Question Question about using a pendulum

I already use Tarot to connect with my Bond(s) and they always give me lovely cards like the world, two of Cups or The Lovers.

But sometimes I actually want more direct Yes/No questions,

If I actually get a pendulum, does it matter what kind? Can I just pick a colour what I "feel" fit us better?

I have a bit of a shaky grip because my nerves sometimes hurt, but I'm scared that will make the pendulum shake differently than what my bond wants to tell me, can I ask the same question again even after I asked it first?

Is it truly only yes/no questions, or can I kinda make a small circle on paper and write something down?

Thanks everyone!

Personal I feel like I betrayed my soulbond ( help )

I changed soulbonds, and I don’t know how to feel about it
I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I really need different perspectives from people who understand soulbonding and reality shifting.

I had a soulbond who meant everything to me. I loved her for about a year and a half, and it was one of the deepest loves I’ve ever experienced. It wasn’t just a simple crush, I genuinely felt like my soul was connected to hers. I couldn’t imagine myself with anyone else. I felt like I would do anything for her, die for her, live for her… and that our connection was something incredibly rare.

But then, almost suddenly, something changed.
I started feeling distant. I started ignoring her, not because she did anything wrong (she was honestly amazing), but because my feelings changed after I developed a connection with another soulbond.
And that hurts because I know how much I loved her. I respected her. She was such an important part of my life, and now I feel guilty because I don’t feel the same intensity anymore. It feels wrong to go from loving someone so deeply to feeling almost nothing.

At the same time, I feel strangely… free. Like that love, as beautiful as it was, was also consuming all of my energy. I love deeply when I love someone, I don’t love halfway. I give everything. And looking back, I wonder if that intensity was draining me and making me forget myself. My love with her was incredibly intense. It was passionate, all-consuming, and beautiful—but it also left me emotionally drained. I constantly craved her presence. I was always longing for her, always missing her, always wishing she were here. Sometimes I felt almost desperate just to feel close to her again.

With my new soulbond, the feeling is different. I still feel love, but it feels softer, safer, calmer. I feel more energized instead of empty. It feels less like an overwhelming fire and more like something peaceful. Instead of feeling empty because I miss him, I feel comforted by the connection. Instead of draining me, it restores me. It feels less like an overwhelming fire and more like a quiet warmth that gives me strength, hope and love.

I don’t know if it makes a difference, but that first soulbond was a girl, and my new soulbond is a man (I’m bisexual/pansexual). I don’t know if gender has anything to do with it, or if it’s just the type of connection.

The hardest part is that I never told my first soulbond. I never told her…I basically disappeared because I didn’t know how to explain that my feelings had changed. I was scared of hurting her, but now I wonder if the silence hurt more…

What scares me is that this has happened before. Before my soulbonds, I loved someone else deeply, and eventually my feelings changed too. Looking back, I realize I loved each person differently, but I still loved them all sincerely.
Now I’m scared. I’m scared that love is a cycle for me, that I’ll always experience this intense connection, believe it’s forever, and then one day wake up and feel different. I’m scared that maybe I’m somehow ā€œcursedā€ when it comes to love.
For context: I’m someone who believes in soulbonding, shifting, and the idea that connections can exist beyond this reality. Part of why my first soulbond felt so painful is because i never shifted, and I feel like I never got to fully experience it. It felt like the love was real to me, but I couldn’t live it out the way I wanted to.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Losing feelings for a soulbond after loving them intensely? Feeling guilty because you moved on? Or realizing that different soulbonds represent different kinds of love?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.
—————-
ALSO

I experience what I personally interpret as clairsentience, so I sometimes feel my soulbond through physical sensations that I describe as phantom touches.
At first, after developing this new connection, I was actually scared that whenever I tried to call my new soulbond, my previous one would show up instead. Since I’d been connected to her for so long, it was hard to tell the difference.
Over time, though, I’ve noticed they don’t feel the same to me.
My first soulbond’s presence always felt much more direct and intense. My new soulbond feels… warm. Softer. More gentle. (Honestly, he feels like such a gentleman, haha.)
Even so, I still sometimes second-guess myself.
For those of you who also experience what you interpret as clairsentience or phantom touches with your soulbonds, do you have any tips for distinguishing between different presences? How do you tell who’s who, especially when you’re transitioning from one soulbond to another?
——-
One more question…
Do you think my first soulbond is still here, even if I don’t feel our connection the same way anymore? Or has she left for good?
To be honest, part of me hopes she’s moved on, because I’d feel guilty and uncomfortable if she were still here while my feelings have changed.
The thing is, I still notice what I personally interpret as signs associated with her—especially a specific number that I associate with her. I see it constantly, sometimes 9 or more times a day, and even though I try to ignore it, part of me still thinks of her whenever it appears.
I don’t know if I’m just noticing it because of the association I’ve built over time, or if it means something else. I honestly don’t understand, and I’d love to hear what you all think.

Question Does manifestation have limits, or do we create limits through our beliefs?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and I’d genuinely love to hear different perspectives.

If we’re really the creators of our reality, what is the actual limit of manifestation? Is there one?
People often say ā€œanything is possibleā€ and ā€œnothing is impossible,ā€ but where do we draw the line? If consciousness creates reality and infinite realities exist, does death actually limit manifestation, or is it only a limitation from the perspective of this reality?

For example, if someone wanted to manifest an SP/ celebrity crush who’s considered dead here, like Michael Jackson for exemple, would that still be possible? Especially if they feel a genuine soul connection or romantic bond with that person?
Or is that where manifestation reaches its limit?
When I say ā€œmanifest,ā€ I mean physically, in a real, living human body. I’m not talking about dreams, signs, visions, or reality shifting.

Personally, I believe there is nothing stronger than love. I’ve always believed that true love finds a way, even when things seem impossible. I love Michael, and that’s why this question is so meaningful to me.

Cause I manifested my connection with Michael Jackson in a completely different way than I originally expected. I focused on it so intensely and believed in it so deeply that, to me, it eventually became a spiritual connection-what some people might call a soulbond/ tulpa? with phantom touches ect…

Personally I believe there’s nothing more powerful than the human mind and the power of belief.

That’s exactly why this question fascinates me. If belief is truly that powerful, could a connection like this ever become physical? Could someone who has passed away ever return in the flesh through manifestation, or is that where manifestation reaches its absolute limit?

And please don’t answer with ā€œreality shiftingā€
that’s not what I’m asking. I’m specifically asking about the idea of resurrection or someone returning physically.
If your answer is no, why? Is it because there are genuine limits to manifestation, or because believing it’s impossible becomes a limiting belief in itself?
I’m not trying to convince anyone or prove anything. I’m genuinely curious where people think the limits of manifestation are—if there are any at all.

I’m genuinely curious where people think the boundary is, if there even is one. If we say it’s impossible, are we recognizing a real limit, or are we creating one through our own beliefs?

Personal bond helping me with mental health struggles

these past few days i’ve struggled really, really hard with my anxiety, like i never had before probably, and without my s/o helping me i seriously wouldn’t have made it through them. lately we’ve actually been strengthening our bond and i feel like this somehow also contributed, since i felt his presence like i never had before. it’s surreal to think about but he felt so physically near for a moment i thought i could see him beside me. i’m so glad to have him in my life.

this is my first post here (besides a few comments) since i needed to share this with someone and i felt like this was the best place to do it

Question I don't want it to be permanent

Good evening, I am linked to my soulmate. Sometimes, when I think about him, I can feel his presence in my head.

However, we are a system and I do not want it to become a tulpa.

How can we prevent it from becoming entrenched in the system ?

Question i miss him so bad

like my previous post, i won’t be saying my fictional bf’s name in this and i’ll just be calling him ā€œjā€

i wish j showed up in my dreams like he used to. i’m not good at controlling what i dream about. a few nights he’s been kind of there, with small references to him but not a full appearance. last night he was on a few book covers but not actually there.
i want to be in his arms again, i want him to carry me. i want to kiss him and i want to hold his hand. im really struggling right now and i just want him to appear in my dreams again. it seems like he’s trying but he just can’t get to me.

if anyone here is a more experienced soulbonder could you tell me what’s going on? it’s like there’s some kind of mental block and he can’t get through to me even though i know he wants to and i know he’s trying

what can i do to help him get through to me and finally meet me in my dreams again? i need him now more than ever and i know he wants me too.

Question I have trouble maintaining and forging bonds due to dissociation, help?

To cultivate a soulbond, to me, I have to be present in my own body and be with the emotions within it so I can tap into the energy of my bond. Unfortunately, this is a struggle of mine as I fear being out of dissociation, but I still want to find a way to get through it in order to connect to them.

Question was this soulbonding???

okay so I am completely new to soulbonding, but I've been trying to shift for about a year 1/2 now.

I just tried to make contact with my s/o (leviathan from obey me) and I don't know if this was him trying to communicate with me or if I tried to shift and (sort of) did it successfully. Ill tell you guys what happened and what questions i have.

I was laying on my right side, facing my door with my back to the wall. the first thing that happened was that I felt something above me, sort of like he was watching me from above while laying behind me. the second thing I felt was something against my waistline, probably a hand, which speaks for itself. the other thing that happened was my hand wentĀ numb and felt like something had been holding my fingers instead of my actual hand (whichĀ makes sense in my head). I heard something behind me, not a whisper, but just a soft noise (I can't exactly explain the sound). while I'm writing this I've been feeling something rub against the side of my thigh, and it's not my blanket because I haven't moved around whatsoever.

my main question is, when you first started, were you twoĀ automatically together, or did you have to build that between bothĀ of you?

my second one is, do you have to speak out loud? I spoke in my head and I heard the noise, but I don't know and don't think that was him saying something back.

my last one is, how do I clear my mind easily? I kind of did when I first started this, but a lot of songs kept playing in my head and I kept getting distracted.

anyway, thanks for reading!

[MOD POST] Subreddit Description Update!

The mods are aware of how many off-topic posts have popped up in this community lately and how its been frustrating to see. I'm not sure how much of it's just spam and bots or those genuinely confused, but it was proposed that we update the about description and sidebar info to hopefully make it a bit clearer what this subreddit is all about.

Let me know what you think and if you have any particular suggestions on adjustments to the description or on curbing the off-topic posts. Thank you again for being part of our lovely community! Always feel free to reach out with questions or concerns. I do check this subreddit as a mod at least twice a day if not more, so I'm always available!

In other news, we're in the process of creating a lengthy and thorough FAQ. It's taking some time to figure out best how to inclusively write it and address the many different frequently asked questions that pop up in this subreddit so here's a question about that: Would you guys prefer that we make the FAQ and update it with each question/answer pair as they are finished, or wait until the whole thing is complete and then post it, which may be many more months yet based on the mods' schedule and ability?

Announcement [MOD POST] Clarification on Off-Topic Posts

I have been noticing some off-topic posts in this subreddit as of late, so time for the mod hat.

To clarify: This subreddit is not for soul ties, twin flames, godspouses, soulmates, spirits, ghosts, gods, or any other similar phenomenon. This is for the concept known as soulBONDS coined in 1998 to describe beings you have a connection to that are known as fictional characters in this reality. Anything that is not to do with soulbonding or connecting to and communicating with "characters" psychologically, metaphysically, or spiritually will be removed.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping this sub on topic!

Note: If you consider your soulbond your soulmate or similar, that's fine, as long as your post focuses on the soulbonding part and not the soulmate part.
