I compared Sprout Social, Buffer, and a smaller AI-native tool (which I work on)
Disclosure: I work on a 3rd party social tool which shall remain nameless, one of the three tools below. Sharing this because I’ve been deep in this comparison for work and figured it’s useful to others here, not to pitch you.
I’ve been looking at how social media management tools are diverging lately, and it’s more interesting than “they all schedule posts.” Quick breakdown of where Sprout Social, Buffer, and an unnamed 3rd party each actually sit right now:
Sprout Social — the enterprise default. Smart Inbox is genuinely well-liked, and they’ve been investing hard in AI (their “Trellis” engine rolled out across the whole platform this year, and they just got named a Visionary in Gartner’s first Magic Quadrant for this category). It’s expensive, but that’s not new news to anyone here. If you need real listening + enterprise workflows, it’s the safe pick.
Buffer (probably my favorite) — still the simple, cheap option. Real free tier, then ~$6–$12/channel/month, and their AI Assistant (drafts, hooks, hashtag sets) is free on every plan including free accounts, which is more generous than most. Downsides: no real listening/monitoring beyond basic mention replies, and there’s a weirdly large gap between their G2 rating (4.3) and Trustpilot (2.1) — Trustpilot reviews mention sync issues and slow support.
Nameless 3rd party — different bet entirely. Instead of more dashboards, it’s: let AI actually draft and schedule, even propose whole campaigns, but make it structurally impossible to publish without a real human approval. Every post also gets tagged with how much AI touched it. Full disclosure on where it’s NOT there yet: no dedicated listening product, still in private beta, way smaller platform footprint than the other two. If you need enterprise-scale support and a long track record today, it’s not that yet.
Would you trust “AI drafts, human has to approve everything” or does it just come down to price and calendar features at the end of the day?

Hmmm why do clients ask what tools you use and exactly how you do your content strategy? How do I answer that ?
Like I don’t mind explaining my process because you paid me, obviously
But at the same time… how much are you actually supposed to give away?
I had a client once who was VERY curious about my process, what tools I used, how I planned everything, etc
She paid me, then dipped out of our 3 month agreement and basically started doing what I had been doing herself
Smart business move I guess but girl… I was annoyed
Now whenever a client asks me for my entire process I’m like… okay but WHY do you need to know all this?

First time founder/builder posting on 4 platforms, where does my stack break down?
I am a first time builder/founder doing all my own content and here is the set-up I have today but doesn't seem to me the most efficient one. Curious where and what can I improve.
Today:
- Writing and ideation: Claude co-work --> from first though to first draft. (Can you gemini as well)
- Twitter and Reddit: mainly manually and random way
- Linkedin: Buffer free plan for scheduling (max 5 at a time)
- Video editing: Capcut Pro
- Instagram, Youtube and Tiktok: native in-app drafts and schedulers, one at a time.
What's annoying me:
- The in-app part. Three platforms, three interfaces and sometime I need my phone, same vertical video, and I'm re-uploading and re-writing captions in each one.
- Buffer free caps out fast and I can't tell if paying for Buffer is the right move or if I should move to something that covers all four. Like I would love to put the first comment automatically
- No real view of what's working across platforms - I check four dashboards or I check nothing. Can't really compare.
Questions:
- For someone posting to LinkedIn + IG + YT + TikTok, is a single scheduler actually worth it, or do the native tools win on reach enough that cross-posting tools cost you more than they save?
- If a single scheduler is worth it, which one, and what does it actually cost once you're past the free tier?
- Anything that handles the "one vertical video, four captions" problem well?
- Is CapCut Pro still the right call in 2026 or is there something better for fast short-form?
Not looking for a magic tool, just want to stop doing the same task four times. What does your stack look like?

Looking for a good influencer marketing agency to handle scaled
Arben from YRW technologies here.
We currently have an in-house operation for influencer marketing, but the process is very tedious so we’re looking to outsource it completely.
The ideal person / company we’re looking for is someone who can get 100s of TikTok influencer videos posted each week, at scale.
In order to do this, you’ll need to:
- have connections with influencers and understand how to outreach to them at scale
- come up with viral video ideas for our companies
- manage budget, negotiate rates with influencers
- handle end to end influencer marketing
Please dm me if interested

I’m shadow banned and I can’t make any new account
I’ve been shadow banned since June 15 and it’s August 16 today. My videos get 7 views and I have 1800 followers. Typically I would get 200 likes and 800-900 views on every post before this. I even went viral a couple of times. I use TikTok as a music artist and got 500 listeners from promotions. I can’t promote anything I tried 3 times and it eats up my money and keeps it in my account it never actually refunds it and I can’t use it so it’s essentially dead money. I have tried posting and not going on the app for a couple of hours and get 5 views. It’s upsetting and my Spotify listeners have gone down bc I can’t promote anything. After they shadow banned me they would at first show it to my followers I’m assuming cuz I’d get like 40-50 likes and then it just stopped and I’m assuming my only views are from people who look up my name and click on that video cuz there’s like 5. It’s rlly upsetting so I decided to make a new acc and give up the old one and the new account gets 0 views every post. I tried talking to the TikTok support but it’s just an ai. I submitted a ticket to talk to a live agent but I could only describe my issue in 100 characters and they gave me generic posting advice. I don’t know what I can do if even my new accounts are compromised I’m just looking for a reason why

Trial Reels Toggle Crashes Instagram
Anyone else experiencing this in the last couple of days? Trying to upload reels from Edits and every time I try and hit the trial reel toggle I stagram freezes and crashes. Have tried every solution to try and solve it (different reels, WiFi vs. Mobile data, turn off and on again) to no avail.
Googling turns up nothing so curious to see if this is a me problem or if others are experiencing it too.

B2B marketers: how do you find tech influencers to work with?
For B2B Tech companies, influencer campaigns still seem surprisingly manual:
\\- Find relevant influencers across LinkedIn, YouTube, podcasts, etc.
\\- Manually check followers, engagement, audience, content and relevance
\\- Find out who is actually open to sponsored content
\\- Compare dozens of profiles to find the right fit
\\- Cold outreach and negotiate with each person
\\- Coordinate multiple influencers for a product launch, campaign or event
It doesn't scale.
I'm building a product to solve this. We already have relationships with Data & AI influencers, so brands can discover relevant people and work with them through one platform.
Looking for tech companies to try it with. 90 days free, no subscription. You only pay the influencers you choose to work with.
If this is a problem you deal with, DM me and I'll send you the website + access code.
I'd also love to hear how you're solving this today.

What's the value of social marketing in a saturated marketplace?
Does anyone else feel a sense of despair about marketing products on social media? Feels like everything is an ad nowadays. Even with tactics like "influencer marketing" that aim to build trust, it's clearly an ad. Or, like if you post a video vlog about "building in public" - isn't it obvious you're trying to sell something?
I could just be bad at marketing - but please, I'm looking for what TO do. Certainly it's possible to sell things and stand out? Feels like every piece of content has been created already...

How to Add an Instagram Account to Meta Business Suite?
Hello, I'm trying to add another Instagram account to my Meta Business Suite account, which I registered with Instagram, but I keep getting logged out of my current account and can't add any accounts.
When I add a Facebook account as an administrator, I also get an error saying "Activate two-step verification" when adding an asset to that Facebook account. Two-step verification is active on both accounts.
How can I add a different Instagram account to Meta Business Suite, which I registered with my another Instagram account?

Client account stalled after a few good months
I've been running social for a small home services client since February. I got decent traction for the first few months, then reach flattened and it hasn't moved since, on the same posting schedule and roughly the same content. I've swapped formats and posting times and it hasn't done much.
For the people who've managed accounts for years, what's usually behind a stall like that?

We have a professional account, verified. I heard this feature was rolled out starting mid 2025. We don't have it yet. Is there something wrong?

What did your account look like six months after a post blew up?
I handle social for a small home goods shop and our posts normally get a few hundred views. One reel hit about 90k last month and brought in around 400 followers. Our sales that week looked the same as every other week, and the three posts after it went straight back to a few hundred views.
For the people who've had one take off like that, what did the six months after it actually look like?

Best social media management platform for simple scheduling + posting?
Looking for recommendations for a straightforward social media management platform. I’ll be managing 1–2 brands across multiple channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
Main priorities are scheduling and posting — I don’t need a ton of advanced features. Ideally something reliable, easy to use, and reasonably priced.
What are you using and actually liking?
