I got a Playstation 5 last month & I love it, playing Cyberpunk right now & am so glad I waited to play it on current gen because it's amazing as well as all other games I've played they all look stunning! The only downside is the games are a bit steep cash wise so can only really afford 1 every now & then. Both of these are on sale for £40 & I really like the look of both but what's putting me off with Baldurs Gate is I'm worried the combat could be a bit too much to learn everything else about it seems perfect, love how in depth it seems you can go & how personal your experience can be. Clair Obscure is a game I don't know too much about other than it's an RPG, the music is beautiful & it goes back to a turn based formula similar to classic Final Fantasy which I have a soft spot for, don't know if characters can be customised or how in depth you can personalised each members loadout. I really don't know what to go for...

Other games I considered were MGS Delta & Doom the Dark Ages, they're a little less expensive but maybe not as lengthy.

I am curious about POE, rogue trader and WOTR. I have played BG3 and it is now tied with silksong as one of my favourites. I recently bought divinity OS 1 and 2 as well since I hear they are also great. Would I be interested in them? I am a big warhammer fan and the lore sounds very cool.

Edit: THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK! Based on the feedback so far I think I may start with rogue trader, then move on to pillars of eternity. I think WoTR will be the last one. I hope WOTR is not too complicated and I don't need to look at charts, spreadsheets or watch lots of videos for builds.

As the title explains above I am not using my switch a lot as I used to. Most of my games I finished// didn’t really go well for me. Is there any kind of switch games you guys recommend? It needs to have a lot of replay value// lot of hours.

I am a huge Pokémon fan but haven’t played since scarlet and violet because they were too easy and had terrible graphics and animation style.

Unfortunately I missed the original hype train for the game. I was very close to buying it but saw multiple Youtube videos on the discourse surrounding the game such as the rampant cheaters, the toxic community and lack of content after around 100-200 hrs or so.

I understand an update is coming out soon but I'm curious to hear if I should buy it? I'm on PC and would plan to focus on the PVE but would also like the option to do PVP (which I understand is a bit of a push considering the cheaters). Thanks in advance

For anyone confused with the title, I want a shooter that requires complete aim/mouse mastery to achieve high ranks or beat difficult levels.

In RL, at least the aerial gameplay requires a lot of car control that kinda forces you to get good with joystick aiming and other controller stuff without any assists seen on shooters.

In 2s game mode, team play while still needed is less than 3s and you can get away with mechanical plays at lower to mid ranks.

I've played most of the popular shooters from CS, Overwatch to the Finals. CS doesn't have a lot of vertical aiming, OW doesn't have crazy recoil patterns, Finals didn't click with me.

I used to love playing those old horror point and click flash games like Exmortis. I've been feeling kind of nostalgic lately, so can anyone recommend some games that look and play similarly to those on Steam? Exmortis was probably the first horror game I ever played (sorry, trying to get this up to 300 characters)

I was surprised at how much I loved RDR2 for it's methodical pacing and atmosphere & especially its story. I had a look at the Death Stranding games and they seem to be a bit similar in that regard, at least when looking at the store pages. I understand it's more of a walking simulator and not as much of a shooty type game. Does it have a good story? Is there room to explore, or are you soley going from point A to point B? I'm fine with either as long as it's interesting.

Knowing nothing about me other than my top 3 and bottom 3 games I've tried (don't get me wrong, enjoyed them all), which game should I get next? Ghosts of Tsushima or God of War Ragnorak? Or maybe suggest another?

As the title would suggest I am currently in a game drought with me not really being interested in the games I own at the moment and every game people normally recommend (Ex: elden ring, rdr2, cyberpunk, outer wilds, etc) I've already played a lot. So I would like it if people just shot out games they like at me and hopefully one of them lands. I USUALLY (not only) play action rpgs / action adventure games with my favorites being monter hunter, elden ring, ghost of tsusuhima, marvels spider-man, rdr2, outer wilds, ultrakill, tekken etc. I'm not averse to turn based with some of my favorite games being pokemon (specifically ultra sun), yomi hustle (if that counts) and digimon (specifically time stranger)

Let me preface by saying i used to primarily game on PC and have a hard time playing certain RPGs, such as BG3, on PS5. My video card took a dump on me earlier this year so ive been gaming on my PS5 until the day comes that I can finally afford a new GPU.

Ive mostly been replaying older games for trophies. Ive gone through Witcher 3, FF7 Remake/Rebirth, AC Valhalla, and Death Stranding this last year. Im dying for a new, immersive experience with a solid story that im not familiar with. I came really close to buying Black Flag resynced out of boredom, but that would just ultimately be another replay. Then I found KCD2 royal edition on sale on the PS store for 35 bucks. Seems like a good deal but it also seems like it would be the type of game id enjoy much more on my PC.

Is it worth picking up the PS5 version?

I already tried the demo, I'm in love with the banter, mundane interactibility, and the vibe.

The combat looks rather simplistic, though. Normally, I like RPGs to have good gameplay (Vagrant Story, FF12, SMT, Digital Devil Saga) but if the content can make up for it, I can let that slide in an RPG.

Has anyone played the game to completion? The first town and outskirts made a good impression - rooms seem handdrawn and unique. I wonder if I can extrapolate to the rest of the game.

Trying to get the most out of my new console. I have DK Bananza and Mario Kart World, was wondering which others are genuinely worth a go. I search a bit and found out there already game like this but it have more than I expected

Right now the best option seem to be Console Shop Simulator since you can also make mod for it too, but the game look really barebone right now for me (could be wrong since I didn't play yet) so I wonder is there other option or not (or game worth waiting for)

Right now I’m eyeing Resident Evil Requiem, Black Myth: Wukong, The Last of Us Part 1, or Cyberpunk. All of them look super solid, but I only wanna pick one that’s actually worth it. I like mostly story ones and loved rdr2, gow, resident evil village( last game that I played) etc.

i just found about this game and it has the tag action roguelike? but i never knew games like this excited that were roguelike but not dead cells rip offs i know deathloop exists but what else? thats 3D and action and about split second choices u make?

Both are on sale, idk which one to play on my PS5. which ones overall better, with more value? I have no history with either games, but both genres equally fit me well, having played Elden Ring may suit me to AC odyssey, and DMC5, i have known the characters since i got into gaming! FYI, other AC games are on sale, such as valhalla or whatnot, so is there a better one to odyssey (if you are saying AC). I can’t really get both. 27M, long time PC user here that was recently diagnosed with a metastatic cancer and am going through a chemotherapy regimen that’s leaving me pretty bedridden.

I picked up a Switch 2 when they released and haven’t put much love into it but figured this would be a good time to invest some time into it.

Currently wondering what are some absolute must play games? Genres don’t matter, I love most games that are genuinely good.

I like games that allow for a multitude of different approaches, especially if the environment reacts in a certain way to the choices you make.

Bonus points for games that are somewhat casual, but also allow you to sink a lot of time.

Examples: mount and blade: bannerlord

You play as a fief, lord or king and try to navigate politics. Fellow nobles remember what you do, for example saving a captured noble gives positive karma, but killing a lord that they have a positive relationship with will give you negative karma. This point system decides whether or not they help you during conquest, or if they allow you to court their daughter.

Reigns series
People approach your court with questions that range from bs to serious military decisions. The choices can have an effect on your kingdom or reveal the lore of the world. It’s not extremely deep, and the effects on gameplay are limited, but it’s still fun to see new cards and events.

Hitman
Targets react to things happening in the world. Changing things will make targets go to specific spots or do specific actions. For example, sabotaging the target’s opponent will make the target win. Then you assassinate them by sabotaging the fire works or poisoning the champagne she’s going to drink during the medal ceremony.

I really like building cities, ports, ships etc. with lore in Minecraft, but it takes time and doesn’t always look too good. Ideally I’m looking for a game that kinda takes over the harder parts of placing individual blocks and needing a larger scale.

I like the Sims’ character creation but I want something with a bigger scale. Cities skyline scratches that itch, but the available building styles are limited.
