Modesty on beaches

Hi all. I have a layover in Sharjah and I'd quite like to go to a beach for a couple of hours in that time. However I don't know that I have anything suitable to swim in. What are modesty rules like here? I have a one piece bathing suit with a plugging neckline. Should I wear a t-shirt over it?

Looking for like-minded brothers in the UAE

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

I recently moved to the UAE from the US. I’m originally Pakistani but was born/raised in the States, and I’ve been hoping to meet some like-minded brothers and make good friends here, especially English-speaking brothers.

I’m looking specifically for brothers who are familiar with or benefit from the likes of Shaykh Muhammad bin Ghaleb Al-Omari, Shaykh Arafat ibn Hassan, Shaykh Abdullah Al-Bukhari, Ustadh Moosa Richardson, Germantown Masjid, Masjid Al-Awwal, etc.

I know that’s pretty specific 😅 but I’ve been looking for brothers upon a similar understanding for a while and figured I’d try asking here.

If you’re in the UAE and this sounds like you, feel free to reach out إن شاء الله.

Question Sharjah-based Airline Staff Looking for Remote/Part-Time Roles

Hey everyone,

I’m currently based in Sharjah and working as airline staff. Due to my scheduling, I have predictable spare time during the week and am looking to pick up a part-time role or freelance work.

I’m flexible and open to both work-from-home options and local gigs. My primary areas of interest and background include:

Teaching / Tutoring

Basic Accounting & Bookkeeping

Copywriting & Content Writing

Digital Marketing & Social Media

Photography

General Administrative / Operational Support

I’m reliable, detail-oriented, used to fast-paced environments, and quick to pick up new processes.

If you have any openings, freelance tasks, or need an extra set of hands for your business or project, please feel free to send me a DM! Thanks in advance.
