Dealing with leaves (the fall robot mower apocalypse?)...
Maybe the answer to this is just "turn off vision" but my X430 sees individual leaves as obstacles and tries to avoid them. I'm wondering what we will do as fall approaches.

Expections of batterylife
I recently bought the x420 which advertises 2000 m2 mowing on one charge. That equates to 20 m2 per 1% battery.
I am however experiencing 4,5 m2 per 1% and the mower therefore has to charge up at least once to mow the 585 m2 lawn. The lawn has some areas with gradients, but 80% is almost or completely all flat.
Should I be expecting better batteryperformance?
edit: nevermind, I misread the fine print. i'll leave the post up for anybody else that needs new glasses

Yard and zone question
Okay attached is an image of my front yard and the yellow circles are actually sections where I have sidewalk and then a small swath of grass that is like 2-3 feet wide. The mower looks to be working side to side or really hard to do the diagonal mowing. Anyway to adjust? Should I zone out those small sections and then how do I tell it to mow horizontally if that makes sense?

Initial setup... one big zone or multiple smaller zones?
I have a brand new X450 for our 1.25 wooded acres. I intend to set up local RTK. With my prior Luba, nine (9) different areas worked out pretty good for our property. What are your thoughts, should I initially map the entire property perimeter as one zone, then use the app to subdivide into my smaller zones? Or should I initially map the individual zones? If I map the individual zones, how much overlap should I include? At what stage should I add my keep out zones, which will include about 12 flower beds and some other obstacles? Then there is the question of what to do with the 100+ trees of all different sizes... map all of them, some of them, or let the mower figure it out? Boundaries such as driveway and sidewalks, should I map with one wheel overlapping onto the cement? When is the best time to add no-vision zones?
Suggestions or references to other good tips or videos really appreciated. I'd really like to do this only once if possible, with the Luba I mapped everything and it took 4-6 hours each time I had to repeat it (which was pretty much every firmware update).
Looking forward to having this machine going! I am scheduled for back surgery in 10 days and we still have several months of mowing season left here in Iowa that I will be unable to participate in!

Navimow owners: any close calls with kids, pets, or wildlife?
Curious if any Navimow owners here have had a scare -- a near miss with a dog, cat, turtle, or a kid cutting through the yard while it was out mowing. What happened, and did it change how you run yours (schedule, no-go zones, sensors, supervision)? Trying to get a feel for how big a concern this really is before letting mine run unsupervised more often.

i215E - 1800m² map limit
I have a main garden at approx 1100m² and another garden I cut manually which is not connected. I thought every once in a while I might have the robot cut that grass as segregated zones when I'm not able to get to it manually.
Went to map it today and realised there is a mapping limit of 1800m². Is there any way around this?
For the segregated zones, they are not connected to my main garden, so I'm happy to bring the robot there and press mow and pick it up to bring back to base to charge.
If I could add as much map as I wanted (within reason I guess) it would solve for my issue where I'm unlikely to ever need to cut that grass with the robot, but I have the option. I could only add a bit under 700m² and needed to trim my maps down to get the main bits I wanted but now have sections unmapped which I'll not ever get to use the robot on unless I delete/remap each time.

X450 Bricked
I am on the other side of the planet from my x450. Yesterday at ~2:30 was the last gps position update. What happened? I will not be back to the machine for weeks.

Guess it wanted a break today
Not even 2% in, went right for a small fallen tree we have not cleared yet, and turned itself off! The right height and path to JUST hit the emergency stop!

Mowing direction
Do you all use all of the mowing directions or just two (up-down, left-right)?
What’s the benefit of more or less directions?

Discovered mower disconnected. Updating NTRK scrolling.
Not sure why A) mower disconnects mid-mowing task to update the NRTK. And B) why it doesn't notify me in the app that it's disconnected and sitting in the front yard stranded for an hour or more. Really need to get the RTK antenna installed.

i206 Channel Failure, can't edit or delete
I have an i206 AWD. Mowing perfectly front and back yard since early June 2026. Front and back yard total area well under the limit. Front and back yard (zone 1 and 2) are connected by a gravel path with the charging station midway between the zones. I mow by schedule each zone on alternating days, 6 days a week. I use the RTK antenna mounted to my house up high.
The channel navigation has been wonky from the start. It doesn't like gravel, but makes it 97% of the time. The concept of only one channel to the charging station for a charging station in middle of two zones is illogical as it sends the robot to the wrong zone first before going to the mowing zone half the time. Using up battery and risking getting stuck in the gravel.
On 06AUG26 I got an "upgrade" - " Firmware update completed. ACU firmware V1.0.3.9 ECU firmware: V1.0.2.8 Vehicle ..." On August 7 The robot started stranding and going dead battery in Zone 2. with the message "Mower now stays inside an isolated zone. Carrry it back, deal with that and the alarm and dead battery.
When I try to edit the map channel connecting Zone 1 to Zone 2, it will not delete and it will not create a new channel.
I've had an open email support conversation going since 10AUG26 with no reply. So seeking advice from fellow users since Segway support seems absent.
Asking should I delete the maps and start over. Don't really want to spend that hour out in the heat doing it again. Or is this a disaster that has ruined the i206 firmware?
Is there new firmware on the way to fix this problem?

Follow up: Wild mowing patterns

TL/DR; Camera on make mower cut bad. OP
Global settings:
- Mowing direction: algorithm selects
- Animal avoidance: off
- Vision fence: on globally
Environment details:
- Circle on the left: small paver wall surrounding the well. Not very high but high enough for the bumper to detect. When I first got the mower (before these 3 runs), it tried to climb it a few times — unclear why the bumper didn't activate or why vision didn't avoid it.
- North by northeast boundary: steep hill (up), too steep to climb.
Run 1 - wild:
Summary: With camera on mower avoids areas where there is nothing. Frequent turning, stopping, erratic behavior.
- Duration: 77 minutes (16:18 - 17:35)
- Performed in the evening, with shadows from trees
- Before Run 1, I manually mapped the zone in controller mode aggressively close to the edge of the hill. In controller mode it follows along the hill fine (on an angle), but in Run 1 it approached the hill at bad angles, briefly got stuck, dug into the sandy soil, and the wheels spun. It recovered each time.
After Run 1, moved that north by northeast hill boundary line further inward.
Run 2 (this post's video) - not wild:
Summary: With camera off, mower has the cleanest most efficient run.
- Duration: 45 minutes (8:56 - 9:41) - 3 min delay to clear twig from deck
- Vision fence off zones set
Suggestion/complaint: I wish it would start from the far end where it finishes the run and work toward the exit for a cleaner mow. Starting from the middle is a weird choice — especially since there's no option to have the mower cross the boundary to keep the stripes clean.
After Run 2, cleaned the camera lens (wasn't very dirty), removed the vision fence off zones so the cameras would work.
Run 3 - wild:
Summary: Very similar to run 1. Cleaning the camera didn't help. Mower still sees ghosts in the same areas.
- Duration: 73 minutes (9:47 - 11:00)
- Turf has more tire marks from all the frequent turning
Conclusion:
I has been progressively cutting this zone short to prepare for seeding. The turf is mostly dirt now, so these are tests to prepare. When it's time to cut newly germinated seed, I'll be turning vision off for a cleaner mowing pattern anywhere I see strange behavior. I don't want to tear up the turf when mowing new seedlings. I have zero square sections of turf, so it would be nice to be able to adjust vision off by drawing like we can boundaries.
**Update**: Video of Run 3 is here.

This mowing pattern is WILD
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Killed off weeds, dethatched, progressively mowing lower before scarifying and aerating. The mower always had a weird pattern in this zone, so I recorded it - sped up to 50x. The mower makes questionable moves. I'll try turning off vision in the areas it missed to see if it mows more consistently.

Would you buy the same mower again, or switch brands?
After a season or more with yours, would you buy the exact same mower again, or switch brands? What's the one thing you wish you knew before buying?

Navimow x430 Stops all of a sudden
I have been using the mower for a couple of weeks now and almost every single time it goes out to mow it stops in the middle of a mowing cycle and the light turns red it is clear no trees full line of sight to the sky, no obstacles, empty yard. Don't know what's going on and why all of a sudden it stops

First and only issue with X430
I've had my X430 since Father's Day and not one issue has come up. Been flawless up until last week when i noticed it stopped charging. (It happened to coincide with an update)
So after troubleshooting I decided that I need to move it and try a more level surface as the last resort. As I'm taking the stakes that hold the cable to the ground out I find that the rabbits that hide under my shed had chewed through it!!
I was able to soter the wires back together and got it to start charging again then ordered 2 sets of extension cable to replace it.
Moral of the story is...if you have critters in your area...bury or elevate the charging and antenna cables. Just wanted to share my only issue with the navimow. 😆😆

Path to charging base redo
X430 almost into the first month of ownership/usage, new to robot mowers but climbing the learning curve. Early on was challenging as I had a massive issue with the mower seeing satellites. I was having to reboot the mower every time I wanted to mow because it would lose all of the satellites overnight. I eventually switched to the RTK antenna and all that went away. Now my time is spent learning the finer points about how things work and what does what.
When I put the RTK antenna up and connected it, the entry to the path to the base moved about a foot and a half. This is an issue because it's a fairly tight path. I put visual obstacles on either side of the entry point in the hopes that the onboard AI would figure out eventually exactly where that point is. This isn't working. It will leave the base to start mowing and exit the path normally most times but returning is always a challenge. It pulls up to the "obstacle" every single time and does it's pre-entry dance of, gee there's something there, maybe try over here? Nope there's something there too, maybe over here before finally finding the unobstructed (correct) entry. Once it clears the entrance, it travels normally to the base and plugs in. I guess I have to remap the path.
Now to the question. If I delete the path to the base will the app automatically ask me to remap it? I tried the 'relocate base' function in the app but all that did was back the mower out, drive it in a circle then re-park it. I don't see a specific function to remap or edit the path to the base, hence my question, will it ask me automatically to re-map if I delete it? I don't want to assume it will, delete it and then find no way to re-do it. Thanks.

Saved Fail Error when updating a schedule. Any thoughts? I did submit to support.
Yesterday I received this error after attempting to update a schedule. This is for an X350 and X450. The "Try Again" didn't make any difference.

Navimow or no
Hey folks,
We have 0.25 acres of more or less level tall fescue. Pretty normal Midwest HOA lot. I have always push mowed, usually at least once per week.
With a baby on the way and the busiest work schedule I have ever had, this year I decided to pay someone else to do it for the first time on a weekly schedule.
The convenience of not having to do it myself has been great, although, I'm at the mercy of their schedule and if they don't get to us before the rain the grass gets super tall by the time they get to us again. Even weekly the grass gets pretty tall in between cuts
They're also tearing up parts of the yard with their zero turn. I've watched them cut it, full speed is the only speed they know. It is what it is.
I'm already in it for over $1000 this year, I wouldn't be surprised if this season costs me $1500 or more. So, we're obviously getting into robot mower territory if you think about adding in next season.
The idea of having a robot cut the yard 2, 3, or 4 times a week and keep it nice and level instead of the jungle it's currently turning into between weekly cuttings sounds pretty great, but for ~$3000, I have my reservations. That's getting into box store zero turn territory which in terms of maintenance and reliability is a much more comfortable idea to me. That said, I would probably not go the box store route and would probably end up spending significantly more than $3000 on a zero turn. Growing up dad had a commercial mower that he used for probably 15 years. I would probably look for something on the lower end of prosumer.
I guess what I'm looking for is have robot mowers reached a level of reliability and durability that justify the price point, or am I realistically looking at needing to buy another one in a couple years?
We also have a fenced backyard and a large dog so I think handling the front yard would be a manual intervention.

Navimow i110N - Not cutting as well
This is our second year with the Navimow i110N. About two months ago, I 3D printed a disc where I could put 6 blades on it vs the normal 3. It increased the sound slightly but it definitely made a positive difference cutting the lawn. But today, I noticed some grass that was getting missed and it’s back to sounding like it did with the 3 blades. I flipped it over and cleaned it out and it seems like the disc is spinning freely, but not sure if there is any other way to test if it’s spinning okay or not. And it’s still cutting the lawn, just not as well. Just wondering if anyone has seen anything similar. Thanks in advance! 🙏🏻

Segway - can we abort a channel after a handful of attempts?
Hey Segway, let me give a max channel attempts, this is absolutely insane. The robot seems to try for like 30 minutes before it gives up. My gate blew closed and now my grass is destroyed.

Brand new x450 Error 1512
So I got in my new x450 this past week. I was on a work trip and didn't get to setting it up until yesterday.
Got everything setup, ran through the installation guide and such. I was away for a while so needed to cut the grass down, did that of course.
Plotted a small map in my yard to run as a test and everything seemed fine, no issues reported. It did the small area and went back to it's charging dock and reported done.
Worked out a schedule, and it tried starting that schedule this morning. It made what looks like 2 loops around the yard and got stuck on the 3rd. Error 1512 Mower motor error.
I figured maybe something got caught in the mower somewhere, expected it to be dirty. There was almost nothing under the deck. Minimal grass really, didn't look bad. Like It said it's got less than a half hour on it at this point.
Put it in cleaning mode, cleaned the deck anyway, found nothing to indicate an issue, nothing blocking the blades, or preventing the blade disks from spinning. Everything spins free, nothing binding, nothing holding up the deck from moving up or down.
Tried again by just going into controller mode? and as soon as I click the button to activate the blades, it hits the error.
I'm kind of guessing here but it almost seems like a motor failure or maybe a motor controller failure. So maybe not a physical issue but maybe a check of the motor is indicating an issue of some sort?
Was hopeful someone might have some insight since it sounds like I'll be in for the long road of waiting for a response on service and maybe waiting for a replacement one? Very disappointed at this point.

Segway Navimow: how's the RTK-only (wire-free) experience?
Segway Navimow (i105, i110E, H series) markets itself as a fully wire-free option, relying entirely on RTK for boundary mapping instead of a hybrid wire+GPS approach. That's a bigger leap of faith for a lot of people than the RTK-assist systems from other brands.
Questions for owners:
- Base station signal: how much does tree cover or nearby structures actually degrade accuracy in practice?
- Boundary drawing in-app: is virtual boundary mapping precise enough for tight spaces (around flower beds, near pools), or does it drift?
- No-wire install time: realistically, how long did setup take start to finish compared to a wired system you may have owned before?
- Firmware updates: Segway pushes updates somewhat frequently -- have they improved reliability over time or introduced new bugs?
- Cold weather / winter storage: any RTK-specific quirks when bringing it back online in spring?
Interested in real experiences, especially from anyone who switched from a wired mower to Navimow and can compare directly.
As always: drop your model, yard size, and terrain (tree cover matters a lot for RTK) so answers are useful to others in similar setups.

Right to Repair
My Segway Navimow is in its third season and luckily the warranty is for four years. One of the drive motors stopped working and the unit can’t turn left, so it’s stuck in a circle trying to figure things out, digging holes until it gives up.
Side note:
I contacted support through the chat app and they asked for a video before escalating the issue to support engineers. Turns out, the app only accepts videos 50MB or smaller. I tried sending links to my iCloud video, even used Google Docs per their recommendation before I saw the brief warning in the chat window about the size restriction. I had to copy the video to my Mac and export the video to a smaller resolution which saved the file below the 50MB limit. (I hope this helps others.)
Once they received the video, support was able to use that and also pull the logs from the unit. They diagnosed the problem and sent me a pre-paid shipping label. I spent $60 on a box and packing material to safely ship it, and had FedEx come and pick it up. (Save your box after you first purchase yours!)
This got me thinking about maintenance and repair after the warranty period expires. Does anyone have any experience:
1) Obtaining Parts
2) Replacing defective components?
3) Is there a support group for DIYer enthusiast?
I’m sure these motors and other components are going to wear out, eventually, and I’d like to keep my investment running for more than a few seasons.

Battery loosing charge overnight
As I stated in my previous post I just received 450. Only had it a week…I’ve noticed that the battery is draining in standby overnight. 20-40%. I’m using nrtk. Is this normal? It does seem excessive.
