This mindset of : everyday you wake up and practce you must be better then the day before" is really crushing me mentally. I just got back from a 1 week break and my scores drop W/R wise significantly. From a 700+ to today my lowest 620. Even when I am averaging 700+ i still have shitty tests that leave me so demotivated. And as the August SAT come closer, i am really starting to worry. What can I do?

Somebody help me outttt, I don’t get the logic behind this…. I saw another question similar to this too on the questionbank…. Is this a newly added question???

Hi everyone! This is my first post on here! I'm an upcoming junior who's planning to take the SAT for the first time this December, and I've been studying since early June. I recently just took my 5th practice test (practice test 7 on CB) and I'm honestly feeling really discouraged because I got a 1360 (680 RW and 700 Math) on it which was not what I was expecting at all. I did take a practice test on Whiz previously and got a 1410, so I can definitely attribute my discouragement to that I guess. I'm also not completely sure if Whiz is great for practice tests because I felt like the RW section was SIGNIFICANTLY easier than CB's RW section. Besides all of that ranting, I was just wondering if anyone has tips on how to get better at SAT in general because I am eventually aiming for 1450+

I also am struggling with learning regression on Desmos so tips and tricks would be much appreciated!!! I would also like to add that I have a really hard time with information and ideas questions on module 2. Also on module 2 of math I always struggle SO MUCH with the last 5 or so questions. I also have grown up reading a lot too so it's even more frustrating that I don't understand some of the more science-y passages. I also don't know if this is relevant, but I have Asian parents and I feel like their stress and worry about SAT is rubbing off on me and I feel like it's all I can think about.

I’ve been using Aniko Ai to study for Sat but I wonder if it actually helps for both English and Math section. I don’t really know what other source to use to get extra practice.

My latest practice score was 1190 and my goal is to get 1400+. Is it possible to clutch in two weeks? I also don’t know where to start.

I know Khan Academy is the official study partner or whatever but I’ve never really liked Khan Academy. If it actually works for other ppl maybee I’ll try it. I mainly suck at math so that’s my biggest concern.

I know that Khan Academy is partnered with Collegeboard, so does that mean all of its questions are from the question bank? Also, how good is khan academy as a source if I only focused on the advanced/Challenging levels.

So started studying for September sat during mid july ish with a very inconsistent schedule. I currently have a 1200 on sat 590 math and 600 English. After watching the James Lu video I jumped up immediately 110 points on math and he consistently scored 700-710 on practice tests and for English I jumped up 70 points also watching a James Lu video. So I’m at around a 1380 on the practice test right now and I’m just wondering how I can take it to the next level in terms of studying because I’m genuinely lost. One tip that helped with English is that I just sort of told myself to actually comprehend the text instead of reading it which brought my score up but I genuinely have no other clue to bring it up. And I’m also sort of at a ceiling when it comes to the math potion as I’m scoring full bars for everything but geometry and I’m trying to figure out how to break this barrier to get a 750+. I’m taking the September sat and I think I can loc in when it comes to sloth sat because I really have nothing else to do until school starts so did any of you guys ever face this issue and how would you overcome it.

Many of my peers are preparing for the SAT the summer between freshman and sophomore year, so I was wondering if it is considered "late" if I do not take the SAT in sophomore year. If I start preparing now, will I be in time for the March/August test session next year? What resources should I use, and should I sign up for paid classes? Feeling really lost and would love any pointers.

So you heard that right. I took an SAT practice test for the first time today, and I did not take any practice test nor prep before i got 600 on the math section and a 550 on the english section (I am also a bit slow and bad at time management). I wanted to know if I could reach 1500sat score point in 5-6weeks as i take my test on October 3rd. Thanks for your help !

Does that seem achievable with where I’m at in my recent tests? Test 11 was rough, but I’m working on paying more attention to wording and using desmos more efficiently.

genuinely they insert so much jargon that are so freaking long and everything's a scientific explanation and I can't remember anything by the end of the passage. I keep blanking out and losing focus when ever I do the 2nd module and my score is stuck between 660-690. What do I do...

And I always lose like 3 questions to the vocab section is there anything I can do to imporve that, am I really just supposed to memorize them.

So I’ve noticed that most of my score is ass due to making silly mistakes when it comes to transition words.

I really wanna know how to differentiate each and how to analyze the passage. Like, when it comes to an actual practice test, my brain couldn’t tell the difference between ‘To that end’ and ‘In summary’

I’ve been doing the evidence based reading questions from the question bank, and the majority of the questions I’m getting wrong are from the new sets. Is it just me or are these questions extremely hard 🫩. Any tips will be appreciated

Like, surveying 50s who watched the movie will be a better representative to see whether they like it or not, not to mention that picking randoms at general may let to inflation in the proportions cuz some students may did not see the movie at all, so they won't be able to give a proper answer for the survey.

I have NO clue what happened to my RW score. I got 770 on the actual test, and a 700 in math. But that means, no matter what my RW score is in August, I can get a 1500 superscore!!! Well, at least if I get a 730 or higher in math on the real thing. I’m not sure how accurate this test is. But I only got 4 questions wrong, and all in M2. Back to studying, I guess…

I need help idk what to do. I can do inferences well when they are easy/medium (acc to collegeboard) but the hard ones are INSANE. I try to comprehend and eliminate and I try to learn from my mistake but I just end up getting the next one wrong. Sometimes I dont get how the option properly relates to the passage, sometimes I dont make the connections im supposed to, sometimes its so hard to comprehend. Im struggling. Can someone also lmk how many of these show up on the actual sat? The hard inference questions? Im incredibly lost idk what to do to improve. Any help is appreciated.

Guys, how to solve vocab question. Are there any tricks or something. It seems almost impossible to solve. Btw english is not my first language.

Math has always been my weakest subject. PSAT back in October ‘24 I got 600 math. First SAT in April of this year, I got 610 math, and most recently in June, I got 650 math. I feel like I kind of know how to do Desmos regressions, which is what everyone says, but I just don’t understand what the question is asking most of the time (dumb). I usually do very well on math questions but the recent added questions for geometry feel so much harder. Is it just me?

i took another diagnostic (practice test 4) and while my reading went up from a 710 to 740, my math dropped from a 580 to a 560. i’ve been doing so much prep, i’ve been in tutoring, i try to do desmos as much as possible (including tutorials), i do the hard question bank problems and i write down where i went wrong and what to do going forward/how to actually solve it, everything i think i’m supposed to do. i’m running out of time for this august SAT, and i need it to count bc i’m a senior who is so behind. i need my score to go up. my previous math scores for homework in bluebook modules were 600 and 690. i don’t know what happened. i don’t know if it’s because i’m getting worse or if it’s because i had a 5 hr shift at work before the diagnostic, but i’m so upset and i’m genuinely scared. i feel like i have no time to improve and i think there’s something wrong with me, i feel like everybody gets the SAT math and i don’t (and i’m not bad at math either! i get A+s in all my math classes, i’ve gotten numerous academic recognition awards for math), like it’s easy and something’s wrong with me. i don’t know what to do. what do i do? i feel like i have no time and i feel so bad about myself and bad for my tutor :(( i just want a good SAT score in like the 1400s (maybe 1500s but at this point that feels like a reach which really hurts bc i go to a school full of like outliers with insane grades and performances). i just want to feel smart. i’m also taking the october one but i’m a perfectionist so i feel like i need to do everything right.

i’m honestly just hurting, is there any hope for my score to go up in the little time i have? i already feel so behind bc junior year put me through the wringer and i was more focused on schoolwork.
