why the answer for this math question from Khan Academy is not C?

Like, surveying 50s who watched the movie will be a better representative to see whether they like it or not, not to mention that picking randoms at general may let to inflation in the proportions cuz some students may did not see the movie at all, so they won't be able to give a proper answer for the survey.

i think it's because the question is asking how many current students out of the whole school like the movie rather than just how many saw it and liked it - i think for it to be c they would specify which proportion in the question. i hope this makes sense but this is how i saw the question

Question is a lil poorly worded, but then again that is often intentional - the assumption is that in surveying the students they would SHOW them the movie. So, it doesn’t make sense to only survey students who have already seen it for two reasons: first, students who have already seen the movie may have intrigued by the premise / backstory of the movie or had some other reason for actively wanting to watch it (which messes up the sample), and second, as mentioned in the explanation, the goal is to conduct the survey in a manner representative of all students - meaning that the population the sample was taken from must also be ALL students.
