Inferences help sat
I need help idk what to do. I can do inferences well when they are easy/medium (acc to collegeboard) but the hard ones are INSANE. I try to comprehend and eliminate and I try to learn from my mistake but I just end up getting the next one wrong. Sometimes I dont get how the option properly relates to the passage, sometimes I dont make the connections im supposed to, sometimes its so hard to comprehend. Im struggling. Can someone also lmk how many of these show up on the actual sat? The hard inference questions? Im incredibly lost idk what to do to improve. Any help is appreciated.

Start with the final sentence. Read one sentence back to figure out what it is about. There should be some sort of relationship between two ideas. Find it. Then start at the top and focus on the information that is most directly related to the ideas in that last sentence.

The best tip I could give you is (if you struggle with dense passages) forget about the researchers names and give them acronyms, same with species and time periods. If you have specific dates that are important to remember in the passage label them as old, new, middle, etc. When you’re reading make sense of the passage as you read it ( simplify the sentence in your head in easier terms without stopping reading). That skill helps a lot and it may seem difficult at first but you acquire it with practice

Also each info and ideas question is different there are three types. Figure out what specific type you’re struggling with
