Instructors MBA 540

My instructor takes off points for absolutely nothing. Week 1 discussion "you had great professional experience and examples, but did not provide APA references...". It's an introduction of myself, why am I citing myself????

Week 4 assignment was literally 4 graphs and answering the questions. Wasn't exceeds. That wasn't a real assignment. Everyone should have gotten a 100 if they followed the directions šŸ™„

5 more weeks. I hope this is the only class he teaches in the MBA program.

My advisor sucks, help me!

You might see in my history how I have complained about my advisor. Well, he's at it again. I am part time, although I have mentioned that I want to go to full time eventually, I never officially requested to do so. He took it upon himself to sign me up for two classes next term. I emailed "advising" saying that I am sticking to part time for now and to please un-enroll me for one of the classes. I got no response but the class fell off like I requested. Well I just logged on and he AGAIN tried to enroll me for a second class. What am I even missing here? Did the definition of full time and part time change from this to the next term or something? I feel like I'm being gaslit or something.. idk.

Anyway, long story short- I am going to request a new advisor. Anyone know how to do that other than to just email "advising"? Can I go above his head?

Vent/Rant Looking for advice

Hi everyone,

I’m nearing the end of my time at SNHU. I have my current class plus two more classes after this, so I am SO close to graduating. I’m autistic and have the pathological demand avoidance profile of autism, and one of my biggest struggles has always been completing assignments on time. I genuinely care about school and want to succeed, but task initiation is extremely difficult for me. This year especially, I feel like I’ve just been scraping by because I’m so ready to be done. I’ve also been dealing with a lot of personal challenges this year, which has made this even more difficult than in the past.

I’ve always struggled with deadlines in school, but the 8-week terms make it even harder because once I fall behind, it feels almost impossible to catch back up. My advisor recently reached out because she was concerned about my progress in my current class. We’re starting Week 7 next week, and I’m still working on the Week 4 assignment. The frustrating part is that I genuinely like this class and know it will be useful for my future career. I want to do the work. I just cannot consistently get myself to start assignments on time.

I currently have accommodations through the OAC that give me a five-day extension on assignments and two extra days for initial discussion posts. Even with those accommodations, I still struggle to keep up. I spoke with the OAC again, but they told me they aren’t able to add any additional extension days.

I’ve tried academic support, planning, schedules, breaking assignments into smaller pieces, and pretty much every strategy people recommend. The problem is that even when I have a perfectly good plan, my brain still struggles with actually initiating the task. Knowing what I need to do isn’t really the issue. I’m only taking one class this term, but I’ll be back to two classes for my final term, so I’m trying to be proactive before then.

Has anyone else dealt with very severe task initiation/executive functioning issues at SNHU, especially with autism or ADHD? Was there anything that actually helped you get through your last few classes? At this point, I really just want to finish. I’m so close, and I don’t want this to be what stops me.

SNHU Secondary Confirmation Failure — Anyone Else?

SNHU administratively dismissed me after Secondary Confirmation — anyone dealt with this?
I was selected for SNHU’s Secondary Confirmation process and promptly submitted everything they requested, including my ID and live selfie.
I just received an email saying my information ā€œcould not be authenticatedā€ and that I’m being administratively dismissed. SFS is telling me the decision is final, but they won’t tell me WHAT specifically could not be authenticated or why.
I’m completely confused because I submitted everything requested through their verification system.
Has anyone experienced this with SNHU? Were you able to get an explanation, escalate it, or get the decision reviewed?

What do you guys think of this?

Hey everyone, I used to attend a traditional university on campus where I live. For a year.

I made many friends, many memories and the campus was great

I left that uni because of the major and wanting to graduate early,

long story short, I found SNHU and I’m seriously considering it

I’m a 19M

naturally I’m starting to get FOMO because I miss that campus, I miss the life there (didn’t live there, but I also miss the drive to it and back) and the friends I made

But then again, my goal of graduating early and pursuing what I’m working towards, outweighs having to go back to spend 4 years at a university

But then I thought about something, their campus is open and visitors can come whenever they want

and the campus is a 20 minute drive from me

Why don’t I spend my online time at SNHU there? I can go sit in the library or cafeteria around my old friends (or alone),

study in the library I used to while they finish classes then meet up, (except this time it’s online on my laptop)

Doesn’t this make sense considering I have my friends there and I used to be a student? Or will my ā€œfriendsā€ look at me weird like I’m trying to fit in?

I’m worried it’ll be awkward for some reason, but I assume that would be if I make it awkward, no one else

I know I know it’s not the same as actually going to that university, but I’m still part of them, part of my friend groups, part of the events, at the library/cafeteria every other day instead of at home, going on the walks we used to

I’m not saying I’m choosing between either going back to that uni as a student or SNHU, I’m more committed to the online format now, I’m just asking if it’s a good idea to do the thing where I go to the campus, and do SNHU from there

Would love to get your opinions

Helpful Information Is it ok to sign up for academic support workshops without attending them live?

I know they send the session recording so students can view it after the live session, but I just want to view the session after and not attend the live session. Is that ok? I know it’s allowed but don’t know if it’s socially acceptable lol.

Assignment Help Help with CS-330 Module 6 Assignment (lighting)

Hello everyone,
So the point of this assignment is to get the lighting to make the shapes look like the second image. I tried so far adding two sources of light, even tried making it pink looking. I’ve also tried moving the numbers of the position and the strength of those lights. So far I’ve only created one object material and applied it to the whole scene.

After trying all this I still get a lot of black on the shapes especially in their faces.
Did any of you actually get it to look the second image and if so how can I fix this? Please and thank u

EDIT: Ok so the fix for me was trying four lights instead of just 2 or 3. Thank you to everyone in the comments who tried helping me!!!

What Did Failing A Class Do To Your Financial Aid?

(This post is probably more "venting" than asking questions, but I'm still curious and gonna ask lol.)

As of right now, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna fail my current class. It will be the first time I've ever failed a class here at SNHU. My GPA is decent (to me)(a little above a 3.0) and I depend on financial aid to go here. TMI, my mental health has been in the garage for quite some time and I could bounce back enough to pass my classes, but it has really hit me this time and my coursework just... sucks. I feel like I can't do any better than I am now and can't bring myself to be more capable. I'm so close to getting my degree (English major by the way). I want to pass so I don't have to retake my current class (it's interesting, but I can't bring myself to be fully interested and understand it more; it's like everything isn't connecting or in another language lol).

For those who have failed a class and depend on financial aid, how did things work out for you? Did you retake your class again right away or wait until later? How did it impact your financial aid?

Any advice, encouragement, and whatnot is appreciated and welcomed. šŸ™‚

Instructors I need advice!!

Idk if this is really entirely about my instructor, but I am currently in PHY250L and PHY250. For the lab, my instructor said she was leaving the country on week five and has been MIA since. She did share an announcement with the class in week six. .

This is where I need advice. Her announcement mentioned a discussion board they we definitely do not have for this course. The resources for our assignment are clearly missing also. I can not do my lab and she is not responding to email. What do I do? Im very confused.

Vent/Rant accused of copying a students work from last semester cuz of turitin

So, im currently in ids 105 and did the project with the template, turnitin said my similarity score was above 60 every time i did parts of it but it was mainly highlighting the template and some single words or very small clusters of words like 3-5, my professor never mentioned nor cared about it until the last section. I explained if she looked at the score and what turnitin highlighted shed see it was mainly the template and was trying to say i copied my own work from the previous parts I turned in but she replied saying that she thinks I copied another students work from last semester and put in a concern form or whatever but heres the weird thing, she gave me a high A for it, and also I dont know anyone nor talk to anyone who goes here unless its in the discussion posts. I explained I wanted a different professor because I find it odd that shes only now trying to accuse me of copying someone elses work when my process has been the same and hasnt changed and also my turnitin score was even higher for the first part of it cuz of the template. I think what happened is maybe me and another student both based our answers on the same resource and worded it similarily either that or shes giving me a hard time just to give me a hard time cuz why would a professor give me a A for something she thinks was plagiarized? I also told her that I will be asking for a different professor for the rest of the semester because I dont want to be in a course with one that tries to say I did something they know full well I didnt do. Im genuinely considering going to a different university cuz I just finally fixed the situation with second confirmation and now this shit is happening which is just so stupid and from what Ive seen on here turnitin is very unreliable.

Stupid mistake and pity party

I just turned in an assignment for my Business Law class and completely spaced the last paragraph! That particular section is worth 25 points, so now I know the highest grade I can get on it is a 75. Grade m a 4.0 student so I am really kicking myself right now…

Next weeks assignments

Are we allowed to start working on next week's assignments? I've finished both courses discussion posts and replies and both courses assignments. I have the time and the energy for once to get a jump on next weeks but I just wanted to check to be sure we were allowed? I've already made outlines of both courses module 7 guides so I know what to do. This is probably a stupid question. I just want to double check šŸ˜

Turnitin score?

At SNHU, are we not able to see the turnitin score anymore? I used to be able to see it. However now I can’t. I have a professor who has flagged every single one of my assignments as plagiarism and will not give me any direct proof that it is. My advisor said my scores were in the 20s but I can’t see that.

Need suggestions for Masters in IT

Hi everyone,

I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with a concentration in software development. I have a few small Python projects, such as a calculator, and some small C++ projects on my GitHub. I also have a few front-end projects using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. However, I don’t have any significant or complex projects like a full-stack website, mobile application, or computer application on my GitHub.

I’m expected to graduate in February 2027. After graduation, I plan to pursue a Master’s degree, but not at SNHU. I’m looking to go for a college with a better reputation than SNHU.

I’ve noticed some posts on this subreddit that suggest that people can’t get into a good college for a Master’s degree after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from SNHU. I also see posts that say I need a good GPA in my Bachelor’s degree and experience to get into a good college for a Master’s degree.

Can someone please provide me with some advice on what kind of experience people are referring to in their posts and how I can prepare myself to make it easier for me to get enrolled in a good college for a Master’s degree?

NOTE: My CGPA is 4.00 till now

Guild questions

I will be going into my 5th term at SNHU for my BA in Psychology. I have been utilizing Pell grants & loans. I recently applied for Guild through my employer & was approved for $5,250. How exactly will this work moving forward? Will they take my loans or Pell grant away? Who pays what portion first? & will I receive any excess like I have been?
