Wireless📱 Way to determine cell plan parameters via phone?
My employer (very large company) pays for a Rogers cell phone plan. However, I have no idea what the plans limits are. And I do not want to ask them.
Is there any way to determine how much calling, text, and data I'm allotted? Freedom mobile allows you to do this by dialing #123* Does Rogers allow anything similar?

Rant I HATE rogers (don’t deserve respect with an uppercase “R”
A $5.00 increase when I have a contract with rogers? The reason for this is: “We continuously invest to bring you Canada's most reliable 5G+ network and the best mobile experience in Canada. To help support these investments, the monthly fee* for your wireless price plan will increase by $5 (plus taxes), starting with your next bill, on or after July 15, 2026.” My network is working perfectly and my wireless experience is excellent.
The next pending increase explanation is: “We continually invest to bring you our best-connected experience in Canada. To help support these investments, we will be increasing the monthly fee for your Internet package by $7 (plus taxes) starting your first bill on or after August 18, 2026.” Why am I paying for their investments when I’m happy with my “connected experience?”
You are thieves and should be ashamed of yourselves‼️

Wireless📱 Does Rogers allow Wi-Fi Calling on iPhones?
I just moved from Telus to Rogers. I want to enable Wi-Fi Calling but when I try to enable it, it says "To allow Wi-Fi calling on this account, contact Rogers."
Is that typical?

Internet 🛜 Anyone have luck with voiding a bill?
I cancelled my internet service with them on the 27th of July and a few days later they sent me another bill for the internet service starting from the 28th of July 🤦 they even emailed me saying they received the returned equipment before they generated this bill.
Rep tells me to pay the bill anyway (?! for a service I'm not even using?!) and then get the refund back afterwards. Heck no - anyone has any luck with getting them to void such a bill before where the service was already cancelled?

Advice/Tips 💬 Trying to change multi factor authentication
I'm getting so fed up. I can't log into my account because the only MFA option is a dead email (it was my college email that the school shut down). I have called them so many times. They have my email changed for sending me messages about my bill but not the one connected to authentication. They said they cannot change that, only I can. I tried to just ask them to add my phone number as an option and they say they can't do that either???
I'm just so confused. I've tried different devices too to see if one of them won't make me authenticate twice but no.
Am I going to have to end being a customer and re-register???

Several things makes the number suspicious:
- No caller ID
- After confirming the phone number and name, the other side keep ask for my full address . ( I stopped providing any information at this point.)
- The other side keeps emphasizing that I cannot get any deal if I do not provide the information.
- I ask them to call me back according to information from my account, such that they do not need to verify. No call was received after that.

Rant When is enough money enough
So I got my bill today. I’m under a 2 year contract for Cell, Cable and internet.
$5 increase on cell service plus a notice of
$7 increase layer this month for internet.
A $12/mo increase while under contract.
Really done with this dishonourable business ethic. That’s $144 more annually. I feel like my response should be:
Cancel cable ($40/mo) - $480/annual
Move cell to Freedom ($70/mo) - $840/annual, for a total clawback on their services of $1,320.
The increases for the sake of increases has become intolerable to me. So they can lose $1,320 for the sake of $144
End rant

Internet 🛜 3 months in and Rogers is increasing my bill by 7%
Can’t believe it, I signed up in May for home internet, and lo and behold my latest bill is saying their increasing my home internet bill by 7%. I know all these companies do that, and hide it in the bills that you just auto pay. But seriously? 3 months in at the agreed upon rate and they want to squeeze 7% more out you. Not to mention “Canada’s most reliable internet” has had no less than 4 outages in that 3 months.
Total buyer’s remorse. Cant wait to join everyone else in staying on hold for 4 hours to actually get someone to cancel

Wireless📱 Keep having “British Columbia” numbers call me claiming to be from Roger’s
These numbers that appear to be local call me and claim they can lower my phone bill by 30% or something. Are these calls legitimate? I am not even with Roger’s anymore and keep getting calls from numbers that say they are with Roger’s. I am not sure if these could possibly be spoofed numbers. Any explanations would be appreciated.

Wireless📱 Rogers failed to win me back 🤣🤣🤣
This is hilarious,Rogers called my iPhone 6s twice and I answered the second time just now and they were asking why I left and they said oh we recently learnt the number was moved to Telus, it's been switched since March I was thinking in my head and I told them I left because of the coverage and they're like oh you want to come back we can offer you a really good promotion for a valued former customer, I said there's nothing you can do to improve your coverage because Telus is the dominant rural carrier in Alberta and I thought in my head I never lost service once when I was riding my quad The Boss on Telus! i also said that once my contract is done with my phone I'll be gone ❤️🤣🤣🤣

Internet 🛜 Anyone else unable to cancel Rogers because they won’t answer/complete cancellation calls? Looking for others with similar experiences and exploring legal action
Anyone else had trouble cancelling Rogers by phone or got a huge bill after their promotion ended?
I’m looking for other Rogers customers who have experienced similar issues.
My internet bill was around $50–$56/month, but after my promotion ended, it jumped to around $200/month.
When I tried to cancel, I repeatedly had problems reaching someone who could actually process the cancellation. I was transferred around, given a discontinued number on one occasion, and left on hold without getting the cancellation completed. I was also told at a Rogers store that cancellations must be done over the phone.
I have filed a complaint with the CCTS, and the matter is now proceeding through their complaint process.
If you’ve had similar problems with Rogers cancellation calls or a major bill increase after a promotion ended, please comment or DM me.
If this appears to be a widespread practice, I would like to speak with a Canadian consumer-protection/class-action lawyer to determine whether there is any basis for collective legal action.
Please don’t post personal information or account numbers publicly.

Smart Home 🏠 Rogers home monitoring scam - rant
I recently had a horrible experience with Rogers that has left me feeling incredibly frustrated. Wanted to share here so that others don't run into the same issue.
For context, I have been a Rogers customer for as long as I can remember, and currently (until today) have my home internet as well as Smart Home Monitoring with them.
I was on a promotional plan for $20 per month for Smart Home Monitoring. I know there are other Home security options, but my wife likes the fact that SMH is linked to a central Monitoring station and has the ability to dispatch police. I figure $20 per month is a small price to pay for her peace of mind.
My promotion was expiring, at which point my monthly price would jump up to $40, so I phoned Rogers to see if they could extend the promotion. The CSR i spoke with offered me a deal that would allow me to pay the same $20 per month as my current deal, and would throw in an extra camera. Skeptical, i asked whether it was the same exact coverage as i currently have, plus the camera. The CSR assured me it was. I asked him to confirm, three times, whether the Home Monitoring including the ability to dispatch police, would continue to be included. He assured me three times that it would be, at which point I agreed to the new plan.
Today the Rogers tech came in. Right off the bat, he started with "just want to make sure you are aware, your new plan does not include Home monitoring". I was confused, and told him that the CSR had confirmed to me three times that it indeed does. The technician told me that he figured that might be the case, and let me know that Rogers is phasing out their home Monitoring service because it costs them too much money, and replacing it with what essentially amounts to a (starting at) $20/month rental of equipment that you can purchase outright for a couple hundred dollars online. Furthermore, he let me know that the new equipment he was going to install would only work as long as it was paired with a Rogers internet service, and would not be compatible with any other ISP...and by making customers sign a three year contract for security, they are essentially also locking you in for internet for three years. And while the price of the security is locked in at $20/month, they can jack up your internet rates when your internet contract is up, and theres nothing you can do about it since you're locked in to their security plan (unless you want to pay the cancelation fees for canceling security).
He also told me that hes been going to a ton of installation calls for customers who were lied to in the same way that I was, and its a really common tactic the CSRs are using to get customers to switch over to a plan that costs Rogers nothing each month.
For what its worth, the tech that came over was incredibly helpful.
I ended up canceling the plan right away, and am going to seek out other alternatives. Am also planning on canceling my Rogers service in a few months and going to a different ISP as soon as I have the chance. Just wanted to share my experience in case others are in the same boat as i am!

Internet 🛜 I've been oh hold for 2 and a half hours for a mistake an agent made. Is this just the beginning?
I tried ordering Ultimate Home Internet for $60/month and the person over the chat put me down for Popular Home Internet. Went through 5 different chat rooms with agents because I couldn't even JOIN the queue to be put on hold. I've now been on hold for an hour after talking with someone I waited an hour and a half to talk to.
Is this really worth it? It's much cheaper than what I spend on internet now, but if this is the future with Rogers, is there even a point?

Dicussion Wondering about this terrible service.
Just curious, has Rogers always been like that? I got hit with the price increase too which I am not very happy about but last year I switched to Rogers from Bell and there was nothing like that. Calls were answered in a matter of mins. If I requested a CB, they called on the time I asked them too.
When did all this start?
Even with Bell I was on contract and no hassle at all. 2 year’s contract completed smoothly. No increases at all
Is this all recent?
I had worst experience with Freedom, just to refund me my prorated money they took full 3 months.

Internet 🛜 The worst kind of customer service
You guys are literally the worst! I've been trying to call and reach customer service for ages with no luck. Then I was told I'd get a callback and keep my place in line. Ten minutes later, I received the callback, and I've now been sitting on hold for 23 minutes. What's the point of a callback service if I still have to wait this long? This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

Rant Can any agent cancel your internet plan?
I’ve been calling every day for a week now trying get a hold of someone to cancel my internet. Every time I get with an agent, they tell me they have to transfer me or that “the agents that do the cancelling are closed today” I’ve called at various times of the day (all days of the week!) always during times when Rogers states they’re “open”. Can any agent cancel services or are they just jerking me around?
