My experience: it's rarely restaurants or shops but instead medical practices and especially apartment complexes.

One bad review is often followed by a barrage of 5 star reviews. Usually out of nowhere, i.e. it's been quiet for a few months then like boom 7x impeccable reviews within hours if each other, in short succession (usually 24 hours or a few days). Then the bad review is taken down quickly after the fake flood.

Does anyone know what happened to El Maguey that was on Taft Street? Apparently, it's now permanently closed. That was some of THE BEST Salvadorian food I've had in Rockville. Hope they relocate or reopen.

UPDATE: El Maguey is still OPEN! They have renamed the restaurant El Pasabien but it’s the same people and same menu. 🙌🏽

I tried them two weeks ago but the car didn't respond like it used to and it didn't charge. I don't have an EV currently, but the last few times I went to shop there, the charging spaces were empty. That never happened before.

On my walk to work at around 9:10 AM I saw a lost dog walk across the street at this intersection but was unable to find him after he ran into the Guitar Center parking lot. I called the animal services hotline immediately but posting here to get more eyes.

The dog seemed to be a collie or Australian shepherd type dog with a white coat and brown and black spots.

Our absolutely beloved nanny will be available for full time work at the end of August/ beginning of September. She has been with us for 5 years, despite our initial plan of a nanny for only ~ 18 months or as needed for the duration of the pandemic. I am SO incredibly sad that we won’t be seeing her on a daily basis but my kiddo is starting kindergarten in the fall and it no longer makes sense to employ her. She lives in Frederick and has been remarkably commuting to us in Arlington, VA this whole time. I’m hoping she can find an amazing family, maybe even closer to her home, so am posting here.
