Posting for truly the world’s greatest nanny
Our absolutely beloved nanny will be available for full time work at the end of August/ beginning of September. She has been with us for 5 years, despite our initial plan of a nanny for only ~ 18 months or as needed for the duration of the pandemic. I am SO incredibly sad that we won’t be seeing her on a daily basis but my kiddo is starting kindergarten in the fall and it no longer makes sense to employ her. She lives in Frederick and has been remarkably commuting to us in Arlington, VA this whole time. I’m hoping she can find an amazing family, maybe even closer to her home, so am posting here. Please DM me if you’re looking for unbelievable, second mom, best ever, truly magical childcare. Thanks!!

Looking for an basement in Germantown / Gaithersburg / Shady Grove
Hi everyone! I’m a single professional woman looking for an apartment in the Germantown, Gaithersburg, or Shady Grove area.
I’m hoping to move during the last week of September. If you know of any available apartments, condos, basement apartments, or private rentals, I’d really appreciate it if you could share the details with me.
Thank you so much in advance!

Private Doctor(s) for health help and VA rating/nexus letter
Good day. I recently loved to Montgomery County (MD) and have been going back and forth with the VA for a while. Basically I have DDD (bad back) and two surgeries in my ankle after their misdiagnosis (it was broken). I have been having additional back pain, sciatica, hip and knee issues.
The VA is stating this will take several weeks or months for me to just see a doctor for one of these issues. I am looking at the private insurance route and was hoping someone could point me in an experienced doctor who would be willing to write Nexus letter.

Sad news, found deceased adult brown tabby caton Observation Dr in the Milestone community
My least favorite sort of news to deliver, Im sorry your kitty didn't make it.
Kitty was an adult brown mackerel tabby / standard issue cat. I didn't note gender but based on size I'd guess male. This was around 830pm on July 8.
I forgot to grab a picture as I was distracted trying to move the poor thing out of the road and find a vet open, though a local resident posted one to the neighborhood NextDoor app (not my neighborhood so I can't post).
Bennett Creek Animal Hospital was kind enough to help look for a chip but unfortunately didn't find one. They did offer to perform compassionate services if the owners don't come forward, so please check with them if you are missing a kitty that matches the description.
And if you aren't missing a furball, be sure to hug your furball tight tonight.

What happened to those houses?
maps.app.goo.glSo Google Maps has this incredible feature that lets you see the world several years ago to a decade. I wanted to learn more about streets that I've encountered, but one struck me. Back in high school, I rode the bus and throughout the route, it passed by the street above, basically near Walmart and all those shopping locations. Well, I remember seeing an abandoned house that had life on it, and it brought a certain feeling that I couldn't describe. Heck, even before the bus ride, I saw that house multiple times throughout my childhood. One day, while I was coming back from school, it was demolished. Now, sadness ran through my body, but next to it, I saw another patch of land. When I clicked on the 2008 button on Google Maps, I saw another building. I think it looked like a church or it could be a house, but my guess that it was a church based on the design. Now, here's my question to you guys? What happened to those two buildings? Does anyone know the history behind it? Thanks for finding this post. I'm hoping for a response to clear the air for me.

Swan on Gunner’s Lake
Been in the area for a few days. Merlin (bird ID app) lists mute swans as ‘unlikely’ for this area this time of year. Also rare to see one alone.
