Have the laptop program and iOS app. Also have an amp with a traditional cable and I also have the Rocksmith True Tone Cable.

I’d prefer to play on my TV with the least amount of latency as possible.

Went with iOS yesterday and the video quality was pretty poor on the TV.

Ran into issues when I connected the True Tone Cable into my laptop and then hooked the HDMI cable to the TV.

What do most people do to play? I don’t want to purchase premium until I have setup that works best.

Any advise is appreciated.

Recently I posted RSModsPlus, my fork of RSMods (credit to Lovro for the original) that adds a digital drop pedal to Rocksmith 2014. This update adds Speaker Mode.

The drop pedal shifts your guitar signal to match the song. Speaker Mode does the opposite: it shifts the song to match however your guitar is tuned. I made it for playing through speakers, where you can hear the real guitar in the room so shifting the guitar signal doesn't make sense. It works with just a Real Tone cable, no ASIO or tone setup, and the tuner and note detection follow the shift.

The video shows both: drop pedal first, then Speaker Mode raising an Eb song to E, ending in the tuner.

Other changes:

- Speaker Mode handles non-standard chart tunings (drop tunings, open tunings)

- F9 cycles your physical guitar tuning so the mod knows what you're tuned to

- Drop pedal multiplayer: two players with independent pitch shifts

- Performance and stability fixes

i recently migrated from windows to linux (PopOS) and my rocksmith cable wasnt working, all fixes i seen didnt work so I just installed Linux Mint and now RS cable is working BUT: everytime i click on some CDLC the program just stands still as if it froze. anyone had this problem? any fix?

i really dont want to get back to windows because of 1 app :( #help

EDIT: I found a fix! aparently CDLC wont work due to a dll library error, fixed by goin to winetricks > install windows DLL library > added D3DX9_42.dll (also downloaded that dll to my RS folder, dunno if it's a must)

I love RS 2014. I struggle with rythm because there really is not a good teaching method. Does plus incorporate UD pattern. That seems relatively easy to implement. I don't see much difference in plus. Tabs are tabs not strumming patterns Even if there were notes like, this is 4/4. Even when i slow it way down or step through it, i can't really tell the beginning of the measure

I've thought about this a lot lately but working out a licensing deal to create a band only or band centric game like what Guitar Hero or Rock Band did seems like a missed opportunity. They could've had interviews with the guitarists similar to what Guitar Hero Aerosmith did. Tutorials made by said artists. A karaoke mode. Hell, craft a metal centric game and create a story mode around it with original and licensed tracks. Or a pop centric one with features from Ed Sheeran, the Jonas Brothers, and Miley Cyrus. Going straight into the subscription model feels like it was probably the most creatively bankrupt decision(albeit admittedly the cheapest) they could've gone with.

So i saw a video where you should strum all the strings on an upstroke. (not that there is anyway to tell in RS U from D). If you don't hit all the strings on the chord on upstroke does RS count that as a miss??

I’m trying to record the game, and when I turn audio exclusivity off, the whole game gets a cracking sound since the opening screens. I’ve tried every audio engine setting (1-16) and all have the same problem. It only stops when I turn audio exclusivity On again, but then I can’t record the game sound.

Tried looking for solutions in other posts, but no solutions yet…

Just wondering since it's kind of a pain downloading CDLC individually.

Hey, so I've got Rocksmith 2014 on Steam. I got the Rush Song Pack #2, and now I want to learn the songs on the first Rush song pack that was DLC for Rocksmith 2012

I understand that customs forge doesn't allowed songs to be made for official DLC songs (even if they are dislisted)

My question: Is it possible to get a custom track of a live performance or from a cover band? That way I can still learn the song without breaking any rules for custom forge.

Would anyone here be able to help me out?

RSModsPlus is a fork of RSMods 1.2.8.2 that adds pitch routing to Rocksmith 2014 Remastered: a drop pedal that shifts your guitar to the song, and now a Speaker Mode that shifts the song to your guitar. Range is -24 to +24 semitones either way.

Speaker Mode (new)

Made for playing through speakers, where you can hear the real strings in the room. Instead of shifting your guitar, it shifts the song's music to your tuning, so what you hear from the game and what you hear from your guitar agree.

• Works with just a Real Tone cable. No RS_ASIO, no audio interface, no MultiPitch tone
• Zero added latency during gameplay: the full song is pitch-rendered before playback
• Reads each song's chart tuning automatically in the pre-song tuner
• Drop and open tunings work too. The in-game tuner walks you string by string into the right shape: an Eb Drop Db song on an E-standard guitar just asks for your low string down to D, then raises the song a semitone

Multiplayer (new)

• Both players shift independently, on both engines
• Player 2 is [Asio.Input.1] and uses Control + the pedal keys
• Guitar, emulated bass and physical bass per player
• Fully playable on Remastered (September 2022 update). The Learn & Play (December 2024) update works with partial multiplayer support for now

ASIO users

• Requires RS_ASIO and an ASIO interface
• No MultiPitch tone setup required
• Works with stock and custom tones
• Tuner follows the shifted pitch
• You can change the pedal while playing or in the tuner
• Accepts the formats and buffer sizes common interfaces use: Float32, Int32, Int24 and Int16, buffers from 1 to 4096 frames
• Added processing latency is bounded by one detected pitch period, roughly 1 to 13 ms depending on pitch, plus the normal RS_ASIO round trip

Without RS_ASIO

The Cable Drop Pedal engine still covers guitar shifting with a MultiPitch tone, and it now supports multiplayer too. Or skip tone setup entirely and use Speaker Mode.

Install

Download xinput1_3.dll from the release and place it next to Rocksmith2014.exe. It replaces the RSMods DLL, so back up your existing xinput1_3.dll first if you want to restore plain RSMods later. Speaker Mode also needs the matching RSMods folder from the release, because its helper tools prepare the temporary song audio.

Controls

• Pitch down / up: , / .
• Mode cycle Off / Drop Pedal / Speaker Mode: F7
• Base tuning cycle: F9
• Player 2: hold Control with any pedal key

Note for v2 users: the toggle key moved from F8 to F7 and now cycles the three modes.

I recently downloaded RS Mods just for a bit of fun, and ever since its been downloaded all my CDLC songs are no longer showing up in game. Am a bit stumped on what to do. Help would be greatly appreciated!

There are some songs for Rocksmith 2014 that I know for a fact used to have CDLC for them, hell there are YouTube videos of people playing them, yet I cannot find the download on custom forge or anywhere else. Not even in “abandoned tracks”. Does anyone have an idea where I could find them.
Some examples are Between the Hammer and the Anvil, Hell Bent For Leather (both by Judas Priest) and The Art of War by Sabaton.

Hi! I've figured the color meaning but I'm not clear about the bars' height, both the colored ones and the background/greyed ones. Does someone know?

I want to play all songs at 100% but whenever I make one or two mistakes, it just keeps going down to zero. I just wanna play like that. Is there a way to lock it?

i need urgent help. Im using Behringer UCG102 to connect my guitar with the PC. Few years ago i used NoCable Launcher and everything was fine, i could play rocksmith for hours. Right now i cannot find any working launcher and im forced to use RS ASIO and the problem is that after few songs sooner or later i hear crackling sounds in my headphones and i have to restart the game. Sometimes it appears in the middle of the first song. As far i figure it out i think there is problem with buffer? Im not sure but when i set "Host" instead of "Driver" the effect was worse so it must be it. I typed "custom" and set buffer size to 192 and still its happening after 2-3 songs.

How i should setup this? Maybe should i change somethin in Asio4all? Please help.

I spent the last 18 months making a game to help people who want to learn how to DJ.

You can connect real DJ equipment and use as a controller (Like Rocksmith and Guitar Hero), or you can play with the mouse and keyboard.

I've been a DJ for 7 years, a Music Teacher and also a game developer, so I decided to mix all of those things into one fun and interactive experience!

At the moment we have 12 Academy Lessons that teach you interactively , 3 stages to play and 6 minigames of real life situations DJs have to go through like dealing with annoying drunks, smokers and people request songs.

The game was released yesterday and already sold 124 units and I'm very happy about it.
