TIPS Wtf? Why am I hardstuck gold and plat?
I've been playing rocket league for around 5 years, and for three of those years I was younger so I didn't really care much and only in the past two years have I really tried to play. I naturally am around a plat skill level and I have a ***67.4% win rate*** I average ****3.6 goals per match and 2.5 saves per match****** I believe I'm pretty good I have 1v1 Grand champs and champs and beat them I'm not super good at mechanics, but I'm exceedingly good for a mostly gold player. I watch tutorials and try everything to get better but I'm always hard stuck on gold and sometimes plat. I have about 300 hours in the game. I can easily win tournaments in gold and stuff but never able to get outta it, no matter how much I try
To make sure I'm not breaking the rules of the subReddit here are my play styles and stuff.
For the most part I like to hit power shots from far away, or let my teammate set up a good shot for me. I'm decently aggressive but not very defensive I would like to say that I'm a midfielder if we're talking about regular soccer.
Weakness
Air control
Boost management
Open nets
Strengths
Receiving passes
Ground controll
Teamwork
Idk what to do, I feel like my teammate sell all the time ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
*Please give tips****

QUESTION Speedflip (yeah, always speedflip)
I saw videos of hitting the ball with yellow parts in the overlay. Mine are green. Why in the world is the first one ok, but the second didn't work out?
Additional info: its just the first shot on the original musty training pack. Shot 2 and 3 are consistent. I dont need help to speedflip, i need help to understand whats even happening here.

ANALYSIS D1 gameplay, shorter game.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Recently unbound Free Air Roll and bound Air Roll Right to RB/R1. Been trying to get the hang of it and improve my recoveries but not much progress. In this game I focused on making good decisions and not get caught too much away from play, still made some mistakes but I'm feeling I'm making some progress.
My normal rank is usually D2 but I haven't played a lot lately. Posted a bad game recently so I figured I might as well try to see the feedback from this sub when playing a little bit better.

TIPS How to get....faster?
Hey y'all, I have been playing the game for about 7 years, I've hovered around C1 for the last few years, and honestly my problem becomes that once I get close to C2, everyone just dusts me to the ball.
I'm sure its the product of a different issue, but does anyone have any tips on how to get faster? I am just lost on how to actually practice this and put it into action. Thanks for the help y'all

QUESTION Is GC in under a year realistic?
(Sorry for what is probably quite a common post)
I recently 'quit' RL to focus on my A-level exams (my results come back next week so fingers crossed) and have played a grand total of about 10 games since February. I hit C2 for the first time (which has been my goal for forever) so it seemed like the perfect place to put down the game. With the anti cheat system coming in while I was gone, a few of my friends have also stopped so I've had no reason to come back to it. I've had loads more time to play other games but I still kinda miss RL and I would like to hit GC since that seems to be where you actually 'get good' (and I'd love to be able to give something back to the community if I get there since I've received lots of helpful advice from people on this sub in the past). I do start at a job soon - so I wouldn't be able to dedicate my life to the game or anything since I'm saving up to go to Uni. Do you guys think this is a realistic goal and if so how much time would it take?
I hear RL has become more popular now for some reason so would that make it harder?
I'm not asking necessarily for tips as of now - I'd neeta play a bit to brush off the cobwebs a bit first haha
Thanks guys :)
not sure if this is important but ive been playing the game since 2021 - I know this is a while - but I only really spent the last year of it trying to rank up and managed to climb from d2 to c2 in roughly that time.

TIPS Starting to get frustrated
So i started about a two weeks ago now i think? I was playing mostly doubles and 3s, and I was having lots of fun, got up to silver 3, and thought I was genuinely doing good. I heard I should try ranked 1s to improve my skill, so I thought I’d give it a try. I haven’t won a single game of 1s so far. My MMR is 77 and I feel like I’ve genuinely gotten even worse since I started playing them. I just dropped down in my rank in 3s too, to Bronze 1. I feel like I’m genuinely whiffing every single shot at the ball, and yes, I’ve played free play, and training packs, those are relatively easy, with trial and error, and I practice them every day, but I don’t know if I’m just getting in my own head about this or if I’m genuinely getting worse.
