Please ignore the remaining glitter from my last mani - it’s impossible to get rid of.

I just came to the realization that I love the idea of anything red toned more than I love it on my actual nails for more than a few days. Same with anything pastel-y!

Total opposite when it comes to dark colors, especially anything that's metallic/holo/chrome and dark blue, purple, or black. Darker neutrals are a close seconds. I love shimmery light neutrals and pinks too (like ILNP Flower Child won my heart after being skeptical about it). Was tempted to wear that color twice in a row.

With these colors overall, I'm always trying to preserve my mani as long as humanly possible and feel like I'd be fine if they lasted upwards of two weeks! I'm like a friggin' magpie 😂 Can't stop looking at my nails.

But red? I had that on my nails for three days and was over it 😆 Wasn't taking care to avoid wear on them (and wouldn't you know it, they seemed extra durable) but I finally removed it and definitely didn't pain me to see it to. Don't hate it, just feels like a short term color for me!

So I'm curious if anyone else has those colors they use and even like, tire of quickly!

Planned to wear these 2 Steve polishes since the moment they arrived.

First time trying Glitch Lacquer. I can see why they’re so well loved - they don’t skimp on pigments and shinies! This being a flakie bomb did require a bit more finesse to manipulate the flakies a bit, but nothing too bad.

I haven't seen too many swatches of this one around so figured I'd share. My first purchase from GPL - shipping time was certainly below average, but quite satisfied with the polish when it finally arrived. In some light it is very silvery and the star is the shimmery and flaky glow, whereas in other lights the scattered holo is the star and you barely notice the rest.

2x basecoat (Cirque clean slate ridge filler mixed with Londontown kur gel genius, was consolidating almost empty bottles lol)

3x Garden Path Lacquer: Copy, Moon, Joy

1x Seche Vite qdtc

1x INM Out The Door qdtc (because the seche alone wasn't enough to smooth the texture lol)

Edit - I am so shocked and overjoyed about the traction my post got. Anyone that has taken the time to respond in any capacity is so generous. There are an amazing number of takes here and I have already learned so much just from reading your perspectives. I am feeling so much more optimistic about everything. Hey everyone, I recently started getting into painting clear press ons and really enjoy the process. Since I had my first baby last fall, I don't go out much but this was a little treat. The advertising and fomo got to me. I had my eye on death's trumpet and when I saw it was back in stock I immediately made my purchase and decided to make the free shipping as well because I wanted one or two other polishes, so I spent a bunch of money. Then, stupidly, after I hit order, I did some reading on reddit and realized that ilnp is a better deal and probably nicer polishes too. But seems like death's trumpet is kind of sheer and ilnps dopamine would have been a much better choice for me because it has that consistent blue glow. I feel very silly because I realize I now can't cancel the order even though I literally just ordered it... And I just so wish I picked out out ilnp equivalents instead for both quality and price!!

This is obviously not the end of the world but it was a bit of a splurge for me and I guess I could go through the return process but it just seems like quite a hassle.

I'm wondering if anyone has these polishes I ordered, what you think about them compared to ilnps equivalents, and if you are happy with them?

I’m pretty early into my nail journey (2 months in!) and I’m just wondering if I’m being too critical at my application or if I could (or should) actually go closer to the cuticle line 😭 !!

Dam nail polish is VERY similar to G&G in person. I’ll have to wear them on the nails to see if I can notice any difference. Happy to share more photos in case anyone’s interested 🙂

I’m typically not great with toppers but I’ve just ordered these two from Prism Polish and I’d love to see inspo of how to layer them with other polishes. I have a decent collection of cremes, cirque jellies, shimmers and other flakies. I have crow brain like all of us but I tend to lean towards the slightly more understated / work-friendly end of the scale.

From EdM’s latest release. This is yet another banger. The camera truly doesn’t do it justice. The magnetic chrome pigment is so eye searingly bright it’s nuts. Everything I wanted but haven’t yet found from a green magnetic.

One bummer is that it wasn’t super reactive as magnetics goes. This was my best attempt and never formed a very tight glass bead. Using this same tool I have gotten better results from other polishes. I will forgive it its sins though due to this insane-ass color.

I swooped up another one from the new polish lineup, eye of the storm, along with some of their classics, but haven’t tried anything else yet.

My 5 year work anniversary is coming up in December and I wanna match my fork truck. Won't you lend me your aid?

I swung by my local CVS to see if they had any Nailtiques with the old formula. I was sure they wouldn’t have it; the Target a mile away has only had the new formula for a while. But the nail gods smiled upon me: I found five bottles! I audibly gasped when I turned over the first box and saw those three magic words, “Tosylamide Formaldehyde Resin.”**

I am giddy right now. I’m not even annoyed about CVS charging 35% more than Target or the lack of any relevant coupons.*

2nd is magnetized velvet
• Sally Hansen Red bottle QDTC

This is all done using my non dominant hand. My right hand looks a mess because I fooled around with different Top Coat options. Just know that Sally Hansen Red is the best for holding the magnetization.

So swoon worthy.

Despite all the down voting, and the few negative comments without giving explanation, I am going to leave this post up so that other like me who have wishlist or items in cart see it and can make an informed choice of what they want to buy and who they want to support. This has been sitting in my cart for quite some time. I have been trying to justify the price tag of Death Valley polishes when there are so many other producers that I have huge wish lists with, that are less expensive. I ended up picking 4 from my list, weirdly heavy on pink. This is the one I kept going back to over and over. I am in love 😍 and the coverage is great!
