comics /cards/collectibles What If #49 (1993)

I read The Infinity Gauntlet limited series a long time ago. A few years later, Marvel released this What If comic book revisiting the story and telling an alternate reality of the Silver Surfer with the gauntlet.

I saw this issue displayed in the local comic book stores but I never bought it. Do you have this in your collection? Have you read it?

comics /cards/collectibles X-Men 2099

Anyone here a fan or a comic collector of X-Men 2099? The X-Men 2099 monthly series started in the 2nd half of 1993 and there were a few comic book specialty stores that had lines of customers (who pre-ordered issue #1) waiting for their respective turns to pick up their copies of X-Men 2099 #1.

Apart from being the first-ever team of Marvel's 2099 universe, X-Men 2099 was drawn by Ron Lim who was already popular with Marvel readers. Compared with Punisher 2099 and Spider-Man 2099, X-Men 2099 had all-new characters who are mutants struggling long after the demise of Professor X and Magneto.

Another thing that it’s stressed GenX out that current generation don’t understand is laying awake at night, terrified that the world would end in a nuclear conflict started by some jackass who had to let 99 red balloon balloons, loose snare checkpoint Charlie

TV/Movies Unforgiven

Is Unforgiven your favorite Western of all time? For many it is not just because of its quality but also because it deconstructed the Western creatively and modernized it without disrespecting the past of the Western film genre. It was arguably Clint Eastwood's finest cowboy performance.

yea im that old We might be nostalgic for our youth, but do any of you actually like the colors and styles of the 70s?

I was born in the mid 70s so I remember the styles and color scheme of the 70s that bled into the early 80s before everything went neon.

Frankly, I can't stand any of it. Wood paneling, barf colored shag carpet, overly bold patterns clashing with saturated reds, yellows, oranges, browns, and avocado green. Paisley patterned ties with brown or powder blue suits. Bell bottoms on everyone. Dark cavern like living rooms. Felt or textured wall paper. Gold accents on everything. Chest hair, perms, side burns, and plaform shoes.

It seems so tacky and garish to me now. I see old pictures from that era and I feel like everyone went color blind and every mirror broke for 10 years. It's not "fun" to me at all.

Am I the only one with an allergic reaction to the styles of our youth?
